Easy online ordering. Easy street parking right across from the cafe. Simple in and out to pick up my drinks. Mango and Lychee teas were super tasty and refreshing, the tapioca balls and jelly was fresh and high quality and the price was pretty reasonable (in my opinion anyway) for a quick ten minute drive and how popular they are now. Would recommend to anyone and will definitely be back for more and to try other stuff on the menu.

Monkeys! Incredible mural, incredible ice cream. On our first visit today, we only tried the ice cream, but we will definitely be back to try the bubble tea and other things. The homemade ice cream was top-notch. Real fresh strawberries in the strawberry ice cream, actual cinnamon bark in the horchata ice cream. Horchata ice cream - genius! Fun toppings including classic American options like chocolate sauce and whipped cream, as well as Asian treats like Pocky sticks and popping balls.

I would give the place 3.5. I got recommending here from my friend and try the food. It was good don’t get me wrong but so much more room to improve. The Onigiri are a bit slacking on the seasoning, the customer service is amazing and great experience for me. I would come back again for food.

I got the earl gray tea and it taste decent like iced coffee but after i tried the topica part It taste very goey i do not prefer the bubble tea part I did not enjoy experience that well

Wide variety of teas, snacks, and ice cream! I recommend Monkey King Tea to anyone who loves fruity bubble tea, as thats the only kind Ive had 😍. Monkey King is great! I like the Yin Yang (鸳鸯), a common drink in Hong Kong, and it tastes quite authentic. The avocado shake might be favorite, though. The snacks are also delicious! I love ordering here with my friends 😁

Can’t say enough good words. Came here for ice cream on a hot day. The portion is huge, I would suggest to share with your friends. The spam egg onigirazu is so good. It’s like the spam rice ball we got in Hawaii. You just have to try it. If there is an option to add avocados as an add-on, it’ll be awesome.

Due to covid, youre going to have to order through their website and then pick it up through a window at the establishment. I had the oreo shake and it was soooo good, definitely will come back to try their other drinks. Kind of more pricey than other boba places, might I add.

Bubble tea was good. The Hong Kong style egg waffle with ice cream and other sweet goodies was not bad. Very generous portion of ice cream. It would have been perfect if the wake is a little crispier on the outside, but nonetheless I enjoyed it a lot. Good service. Cozy place.

Best taro shake of my life so sweet. Boba can be shot across the kitchen with enough force. Try it!

Delicious tea and ice cream. Huge variety. We really like the puffles, especially the churro one, complete with real filled churros. The Thai tea is not the best I’ve ever had, but it is delicious. The prices are a bit high but not outrageous. Go check it out before they take a break for remodeling in October.

I was walking by decided to go in. Nice cozy spot to go into post covid I bet. The teas are not overly sweet (I dont mind it), the boba is definitely made there. I got the jasmine milk tea and it delivered all the right floral notes. I got an order of tokoyaki and it was so delicious. Crispy exterior and just creamy savory interior. Definitely recommend!

The ice cream is unique because of the egg pancake, but the ice cream was very mediocre. The place was very busy, but you rarely see Asian people, which means this is not a place for bubble tea.

Small hole in the wall with great dessert options! Keep in mind the egg puffs take some time to cook - they are delicious and crispy! Had the I love you so matcha - overall great, just not a huge fan of the green tea ice cream used there.

I was honestly surprised they have bubble tea shop in the area. Both the foods and drinks was awesome, the staff was very friendly, offer free WiFi along with cozy spot. Would highly recommend you guys to check this place out!

Pretty good. Churros are filled with a vanilla cream thats not overly sweet. Egg puffs are more on the harder side.Drinks are watered down. Better alternatives for drinks in the area, such as Kungfu Tea or Chatime.

Taro Shakes are phenomenal. Fresh tapioca boba made every hour here. Used to love the Coconut Shakes, but the taste has been really off since they came back. Like ever since they brought coconut shakes back they taste like sour turkey cold cuts, no idea why but it is really nasty and I wish they would bring back the old coconut shakes.

OBSESSED. I love treating myself to a delicious bubble tea every weekend if I am in town. I love the variety of flavors of green tea. I have also tried the puffle cone ice cream here and it did not disappoint. Also the crab rangoon. So tasty! There’s always street parking available out front and the cashiers are always friendly and quick.

Ive been so curious if this place was ever going to open... Its not very clear that its actually open from the outside. Finally made it today, menu looks awesome! Only tried bubble tea today, but going back for the fried chicken.Edit:This place is the best. The teas are excellent, and the food/ice cream really make this place shine. I got the Espresso which was okay, and also ordered ginger lemon tea that took a long time to make. Im not sure why because I only tasted warm water with the faintest ginger after taste.

I came here for the ice cream egg puff and it was very good. The place was hard to find because it didnt have a noticeable store sign. We accidentally drove pass the place and had to loop around. I order the matcha and red bean ice cream and they were delicious. The only downfall was the eggpuff. It gets a little soggy when the ice cream started to melt.

I was just a monkey king tea today and was very pleasantly surprised with the attentive service and affordable prices. A girl came in later on accidentally dropped her drink and the workers immediately offered to make her a new one and clean up. Very well trained staff :) 10 out of 10!!

Amazing drinks, I got the Taro Shake and it was so good!

Just picked up two drinks and both tasted watered down. The tea had no flavor at all. Very disappointing! Will travel farther for a better and more flavored drink next time.

Great little spot for a large variety of flavors and boba! They also have some great snacks to accompany the drinks! Definitely try the karate chicken bites and the mera mera fries! One small inconvenience is that due to COVID, they require you to place an order online and then pick-up at a window on the street, but its totally worth it!

Monkey Tea is a great place with excellent food, tea, beverages and ice cream. The owners are great people and they put a lot of work into the business. Monkey Tea has a nice atmosphere and its also family friendly. Definitely check it out!

Monkey King has a lot of competition from big chains in Malden, but it is tucked away down on Highland instead of having to sit next to Kung Fu Tea, the new Gong Cha, or the various restaurants that all offer bubble tea in the CBD.In these pandemic times, every afternoon there is a parade (but generally not a crowd or line) of people picking up their online orders at the window, mostly bubble teas and coffee or ice cream drinks, but the cups of ice cream and snacks are well worth ordering too, my personal favorite is the churros, but they have things like takoyaki that you wont find elsewhere in Malden too.

Matcha iced with custard very aromatic appears to be quality Matcha used. Refreshing, great taste.The only thing I wanted was a milk cap and they arent doing those. Perhaps they will consider...Cost is fairly high IMO but once in awhile worth the treat. If cost came down there would be more regularity.Staff was nice.

I love this place! I think it’s amazing! The website clearly says it’s open today, so I was like yay! I drove all the way there to find out it’s closed! I was really looking forward to it! Why is it closed! It had renovations going for three months! I’m really sad because I had to go to the not so good place next door. Disappointed that I didn’t get my favorite tea😢

My wife and I have gone to Monkey King Tea a few times now. They have a great selection on teas and snacks. Everything we have tried so far has been fantastic! I think we are going to become regulars at this place.

Went here for some bubble tea a few months back since its a short walk from our place. Solid bubble tea and they also serve some snacks that I enjoyed (dont remember what it was called). Worth visiting if your in the area.

As soon as you walk in you are greeted with with a heavenly scent of the egg puffs.. Its a pretty chill place with good prices. They have games and things to make youre time there go smooth.. If you go I recommend the ice cream.

Best place to get puffle cones! The endless board and card games are always a must when I go there but the space is relatively small for the amount of customers they typically get. The fries here are very crunchy as well

Not the best bubble tea Ive had in my life, but my favorite in the area. Its pretty small, so it gets really packed on weekend nights with people hanging out and playing board games. On busy nights Ive had to wait upwards of 15 minutes for a drink. My personal favorite is the taro milk tea. My husband really likes the Momo puffle cone.

My review was formally 5 stars because everything was really yummy and the tea was good but is now changed to 3 stars because of my last visit.The last time is was at money king tea i had a fairly large order about 10 drinks, each one was highly disappointing.Every single one of the teas were incredibly watery, it was like they had run out of tea and poured more water and milk in to make up the difference.I was so sad, I had been raving about this tea place to my friends and family and brought them there to treated everyone to drinks and every one hated them because they had no flavor. I was incredibly embarrassed.Maybe it was an off day but they need to do some quality control !I am definitely willing to try it again but i dont think id ever bring a large party for drink, it dont think they are able to handle multiple drink orders.

Coconut Milk Tea with tapioca and mango was delicious! I havent tried a puffle cone yet, but they look amazing and I plan to go back soon to have one.

Great place to just have a dessert and chill. The desserts are pretty unique, and there are even board and cards games for you to play. The prices are pretty standard.

Refreshing mango bubble tea and the employees are very friendly if you have any questions.The interior is mediocre - little questionable and the bacon and cheese tots were missing flavor. They just tasted like oil.

Great place and food, but the wait is a bit long and there isn’t much seating available. It can get awfully crowded when it’s busy. Hopefully after the place finishes renovating, there’ll be more seating available.

Great bubble tea and Hong Kong syke egg puffs/waffles. The waffles are good enough on their own, but you can order it as a dessert with ice cream and toppings.

The high rating is for the excellent quality of the tea and snacks. The bubble tea is the best around . The only drawback is that the hours are limited to mostly after school when it is packed with kids and there is a very long wait for everything. The waffles are great in the waffle ice creams are delicious. The deep fried chicken with garlic aioli is really good. My favorite tea is the coconut milk tea with boba. I will go back even though I know I will have to wait too long and feel a little frustrated

Monkey King Tea is pretty decent, but their variety is really lacking. They do not have a fruit tea drinks it seems like, other than the infused teas. I tried the monkey milk tea with boba and it was good, but not great...the boba was perfect though. They have a pretty good selection of snacks, including their waffle puff ice cream which is popular. Havent had a chance to try, but will update when I try it.

This is my only go to place for bubble tea. Other places Ive been either have nasty tapioca bobas or use a powdered mixture for the drink that isnt good. But this place is the real deal. Monkey king tea is my favorite, but also the ying yang (basically half tea half coffee.. delicious) The crab rangoon is also my favorite. But if you arent looking for any of that definitely try out their ice cream in the puff cone!! Really good. The staff there is friendly, prices arent bad. Only thing is it can get packed and have no seats available if youre looking to sit down and chill there.
