Terrible customer service, like they dont want to be in business

Zero stars...I wouldn’t believe one of these reviews this place is garbage stay away.. They also go under the name Granite Shop ... Do not use them ... I don’t care what price you got .. Go spend a bit more at another shop ... you will regret it!!

We had a great experience with Excel Granite. They were very prompt with the estimate and fairly priced. We wanted the job completed in about 10 days from order placement and they were able to do that for us. Installation was completed on time and quality of work at Excel Granite was top notch. I will definitely use them again in future.

I had a great overall experience with these guys. I had an appointment set up on Saturday for my estimate between 1-3 and they called me at 11 asking if I was available as they had an earlier slot open. The estimate was real quick and got a very competitive quote and several samples dropped off. After comparing the quote vs. several other companies they ended up being the least expensive (after a little haggling). I scheduled my template appointment from there and signed off on the contract. When the guy showed up for the template it turned out I needed to have a seem in my counter that I wasnt happy about, but it was my only option as all granite slabs are standard size. We had a nice square piece going in so the template took less then 10 minutes. We scheduled our install for a Friday, once again they called the day off and let us know they could make it early if that works for us. Showed up and installed the counter in less then 2hrs. The job was done great and Im a very happy customer, I would definitely recommend Excel Granite to anyone. Great value, product and on time.

Amazing service! We had some difficulty lifting the granite into my entrance due to its big size. The guys from Excel Granite managed to bring in a couple of guys and took great care in installing it in my kitchen. The island looks amazing and measurements are perfect. Thanks Excel Granite!

Impressive and timely service experienced over the years. Quality and pricing are top notch. Used them 5 years back for my kitchen counter top and since then recommended to many of my friends. Would highly recommend Excel Granite to any one looking for kitchen counter or completely re-doing the kitchen. Superb!!

Excel Granite offers amazing customer service. They took my order and measurements quickly and install my countertop within a week which was great. The installation crew was professional and had an eye for detail. The final product looks fantastic. Happy customer!

Excel is the correct name for this granite company. Every step of the way the staff handled every aspect of my search, order, templating, fabrication and installation with above and beyond service 110% !!Ursulla never gave up working with me to find the perfect granite for us in the price point we were working in. The granite was installed today and the seam is invisible. Quality job, quality installation and unheard of customer service. I thought customer service was a dead idea. Excel has proved to me it is not. I would recommend this company to anyone.Very happy, will use them again for future projects.

These people are terrific to work with. Reliable, timely, they had an excellent process & managed the templating and installation beautifully. They involved me where they should, and did an excellent job. I got a gorgeous granite counter top at a fair price with no hidden charges. I highly recommend them.

I had Excel Granite install a new kitchen countertop and it was an amazing experience working with them. The design of my countertop required lots of custom cuts and we couldnt be happier with the end result. The whole installation process was smooth and hassle free. I definitely recommend Excel Granite to anyone looking for quality work at a fair price.

The template creation and installation of the granite went very smoothly. I was amazed at how quickly they completed the installation. I did have to call them back to make sure they properly grouted the seams between the counter and the back splash (it wasnt clear whether they forgot to do it, or were planning to come back anyway).The only other negative I found, was that their store hours were a bit inconsistent - we could never be sure if we called on a given day, would anyone be around to take the call. Other than that, they were very responsive to the 2 times I called them after the job was done. We were very satisfied with the job, and felt we had gotten a good price.

The service and communication was wonderful. Very persistent with the installation of my new kitchen in Melrose ma. Everyone was very respectful and i would highly recommend them.

I would highly recommend Excel Granite. From start to finish the company, especially our sales associate, Ursulla, was impressive. I had a specific vision in mind for our kitchen remodel. I went over what I wanted with Ursulla and she worked diligently to find me the quartz stone that was perfect for us. She was always prompt in responding to my inquiries and was very easy to do business with. I visited three different granite shops and Excel, by far, was most deserving of the business. The turn around was so quick, my husband and I couldnt believe it. The install is beautiful. We are very satisfied with our decision to work with Excel and Ursulla.

Horrible experience. The communication was terrible. Our stone was not cut correctly and when they finally came over to verify the job they wanted to blame the walls when in actuality they create templates to make sure the stone fits the space and compensated for any wall ondulation. The worst part is that they finally agreed the stone was not cut correctly but refused to cut a new stone. So we are stuck with a stone that is ½” smaller on one side than the other and this can be clearly seen. Buyer be aware, I would not do business with these people and don’t recommend anyone contracting them.

I cant believe how poor of an experience I have had. I have been put on hold every time, and told they will call me right back. They came to measure, and have given me an installation date of over a month from that date. I am extremely disappointed, and may just go get my deposit back.

This is one of the worst, most unprofessional businesses Ive ever dealt with. We have had nothing but problems with them since we gave them our initial deposit. Times have been changed, machines have broken, and the costs have gone up. Everything was fine until we gave the deposit. They came and took the template and raised the square footage from the initial estimate. We never received an invoice even though we were told we would have one that night. They said it is 5-7 business days to be put in. On the 8th business day, we were scheduled to have installation. After my fiance took a day out of work, they called at 4pm the day before installation and cancelled due to a machine broke. Rescheduled for 5 days later. I asked for some kind of a discount because of all the money that we lost and I was put off over and over by the girl in the office. I finally received a call from the owner and she was the rudest person I spoke to. She refused to give any type of discount saying its not their fault that any of this happened. I would NEVER recommend this compant to ANYONE. And I havent even seen what the installation will look like yet, so I might have to come back and give an update. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANYExcel Granite came out to our home 2 weeks late then on the day arrived 3 hours late. Excel Granite then broke our plumming pipes and said they would pay for the damage they caused and they did not. In fact - they whited out on their document where they said they would pay for it.

Buyer beware!! Do NOT use Excel Granite. They created the most stressful experience I dealt with during my home renovations. I picked out my granite in March and called in late April to make an appointment to have a template made. The appointment was scheduled for May 1st. The day before, they called to confirm the appointment for May 2nd. When I said it was scheduled for May 1st, not May 2nd, they said “oh sorry, we forgot to tell you.” I had already taken the day off from work. They never called me about installation. After two weeks I finally called them (which involves having to call 20 times until someone picks up). They told me installation would be on Tuesday, May 20th. On Monday, May 19th, I received a call confirming this. I received a second call mid-day asking me to confirm a measurement. Turns out the person who measured was off by about 55 inches on my breakfast bar. I assumed this would be resolved. I received a third call later in the day saying the installation wasn’t going to happen, and they said I should already have known this. I asked if installation would get moved to Wednesday the 21st and they said yes. On Tuesday, still no word from them confirming Wednesday, so I made 20 calls again to reach someone. Apparently Wednesday was booked up, and they wanted me to wait until Friday for installation. Granite finally gets installed on Friday, May 23rd. They forgot both the dishwasher clips and a piece of the granite. A corner of my breakfast bar was also not polished and had chips in it. They scheduled an appointment for Friday, May 30th to bring the missing pieces. I get a call confirming my appointment for Thursday the 29th. How can you just change a customer’s appointment with no notice? Don’t they realize people work? I finally got it changed back to its original date and time frame of 9 AM-12 PM. They delivered only dishwasher clips at 9 AM. They said they broke my missing piece and would bring a new piece of granite “later”. Needless to say, it’s Friday night and I still do not have the missing piece. I was not able to get in touch with anyone for most of the day, and when I did, they said they would call back but never did. The prices are not worth the aggravation!!

Once again I thank you for the beautiful worksmanship on our granite countertops. I want you to know how appreciative and grateful we both are for Carlos, Julio and Juliano. They worked hard and gave professional opinions and answered all of our questions.
