We hired Evolved mechanical for a big project on our old house. The project included oil-to-gas conversion, adding central A/C, a second thermostat zone and replacing the old oil-fired furnace with a new high-efficiency wall-hung boiler, which also allowed us to replace the electric water heater with an indirect hot water storage tank. The whole project spanned about four months with some weeks when we were away for vacation. Everyone on the team from Evolved Mechanical did an excellent job seeing the project through to a satisfying conclusion. Monica from the front office helped submit MassSave equipment rebates. Zoran and Luis did an impressive job adding new vents in the plaster ceilings for the new second zone as well as to plan with me and install minimally invasive ductwork in the attic. Kevin, Josh, and Eric did tidy and professional plumbing install work in the basement and ran a hot water line up to the attic through an old duct. Chico did a great job with electrical, finding and correcting wiring issues while providing new circuits. The whole install team was courteous and professional. I would highly recommend Evolved Mechanical for this kind of project. They have the breadth of expertise among their team to tackle various heating and cooling projects in older homes.

I highly recommend this company to get your HVAC fixed. The firing tube get clogged and the technician fixed it really quick. The charge is reasonable and every process is professional. Mike is the best!

The woman I spoke to was super helpful with scheduling my appointment and the communication was excellent throughout the entire process. Jason was awesome. We had been told our furnace needed replacing but he found that it just needed cleaning. He was able to have our heat up and working in less than 1 hour!

Ghosted!In 2017 they did what looked like a great job installing our old furnace in a new location and creating a four zone radiator heating system where there had been one zone. Solid work at that time, good team. Jason visited, and I sent a paper thank-you note.Because of that experience, I expected to use Evolved for a long time, and tried to, but they appear not to stand behind their services.In 2018 there was some water coming out of the furnaces pressure release valve, and they came out quickly and replaced that valve and some parts that had been newly installed. I never got an explanation for what went wrong, or why it wasnt under some kind of warranty at a year old. I guessed around $300 going in, and should have asked, I guess. I was charged nearly $1000.I also once asked for them to reverse the flow direction of one of the zones, and somehow that work never got done.This spring 2021, another part from their 2017 install, a circulator pump, developed a small leak. I said it wasnt urgent, and that this time, Id like to get an estimate before the work was performed, and asked again about warranty on the parts. After a month or so, I got an email that they had ordered the parts, but they wouldnt arrive until mid-April, and theyd give an estimate then. Okay. And they wouldnt be able to tell me whether the part was under warranty until after the work was done. What? But anyway that email from Eoghan on March 26th was the last I heard from them in any manner. I followed up once by email on May 14, once on May 28, and then I called once, and asked Sara to ask Jason to give me a call back. That call never arrived: it is now July 2021, and Im just now taking up fixing this before the next heating season.Yeah, I was emptying buckets throughout Feb-May this year.It seems to be a mistake to expect Evolved to do work or install equipment that lasts very long, or even to bother responding.

Scheduling was quick and easy.Mike and Eoghan repaired a leak coming from a bathtub through my kitchen ceiling. They were extremely professional and courteous and quite skilled.I plan on utilizing Evolved Mechanical for many more services in the future as a result of this service call. I was extremely impressed and they helped eleviate what would have turned from a headache to a nightmare.

Greg was professional and answered all our questions quickly and efficiently. He provided fair quotes for all our options and arranged for the installation process.Zoran and his team were professional and completed the work in a timely manner. They were respectful of our home and the landscaping (even saved my plants from where they installed the condenser!) He was personable and walked me through all the work they had completed before he left. Lovely group of people and I would definitely recommend them!

We hired Evolved to install an electric heat pump at our house in Medford in May 2021. Although there were a few minor hiccups during installation (their truck did some minor damage to our house, and the tech tried to install the outdoor unit on a plastic base rather than the concrete pad included in their quote) Evolved resolved both of those issues to our satisfaction and I don’t hold either honest mistake against them.The real problems came later. First: it came to light that Evolved installed our system without obtaining permits. They eventually rectified this after months of hounding. Unfortunately, I believe the excuse they gave because no one would concoct a lie that makes them sound this inept: they submitted the permit application to the wrong city, and didn’t notice that it wasn’t granted before starting work.Second, Evolved misrepresented our eligibility for the MassSave rebate program. Their quote listed an AHRI reference number which indicated that we’d be eligible for a $700 rebate, but our application for the rebate was rejected. Why? Because the equipment Evolved installed didn’t match the reference number on the quote. The SUZ-KA36NAH2 listed in the AHRI database would have been eligible, but the SUZ-KA36NAHZ they actually installed is not. Their GM has continued to insist that MassSave or the AHRI listing must be wrong (this is unfortunately not supported by any documentation from Mitsubishi), and at this point I’ve given up on getting any kind of a resolution to the rebate problem.In short, I cannot recommend Evolved on the basis of our experience, and the overwhelmingly positive reviews are frankly mind boggling. Find someone better.

I was really impressed with Evollved Mechanical. The technician Mike did an annual tune up on my Moms boiler today. Mike was on time, professional and responsive and did a great job. He identified a clog in a boiler accessory that was causing the system to operate inefficiently and cleared out the clog.....the previous company that serviced the boiler did not address this problem. I highly recommend this company and will be using them again shortly for other plumbing issues at Moms house.

Evolved Mechanical was the third plumbing company I called to fix my toilet. The first plumber said he would call twice and never did and the second company made an appointment and never showed up. I called Evolved Mechanical 10 minutes before they closed. They were very nice and said they could squeeze me in first thing the next morning. Mike arrived around 7:10 and was very polite and professional. He took his shoes off which I appreciated. He diagnosed and fixed the problem with my toilet and explained to me what the problem was. He noticed the toilet handle was broken and asked if I wanted it fixed. When I said yes he took the time to go get the part he needed and fixed it. They charge $189 to diagnose the problem but if your job costs more than $189 they put the $189 toward the job instead of charging $189 plus whatever you he job would have cost. I will definitely spread the word about this honest, professional company. I will definitely call them again if I need plumbing or electrical work. Mike was wonderful and did a great job. If you need a plumber or r electrician or hvac look no further these guys are reasonable, honest and do the job right and to completion.

AC died during a heat wave. Wasn’t even a customer. Referred by a neighbor. Called them in the morning and they squeezed me in at 10AM. Came early at 9AM. Replaced a blown capacitor and had me up and running in minutes. Checked my entire system to make sure I had freon and nothing else was wrong & I was good to go. Even checked my air filter which I change every spring. Good guys. Professional. Thorough. Would definitely recommend!

As our second time working with Evolved Mechanical, it was with good reason that we returned to them for installing a Mitsubishi mini-split AC unit.Last year, we were lucky to have the owner himself, Jason, service our furnace and replace our hot water heater. It was very neatly and professionally done, with top-of-the-line equipment, resulting in a better functioning and better looking installation than original.This recent AC installation was no different (a system I’m very happy to have as I write this on a +90°F day). After a scheduling hiccup on their part, they completed the job in one day. I was particularly pleased with their attention to detail on the exterior of the house, where they went the extra mile to make sure the cover for the AC lines sat flush against our non-uniform brick exterior, something I was initially worried about, but the end result was a clean and professional look. We were fortunate to again have their owner Jason and lead technician work our job.We’re very happy with the work Evolved Mechanical has done for us on both occasions, and would recommend them.

My initial experience with Evolved was great. Mike explained what he was doing and told me what it would cost before he did it. I gave them a great review for that. Mike also told me what else needed to be done and promised to send me a quote on that work. I never got it. I called back 5 or 6 times, was promised Id hear from him each time and never did. Big problem with communication. With heating season coming on, I contacted another contractor who did the work quickly and efficiently. I hate to give a bad review, but a company that doesnt come through on their promises and doesnt communicate, leaves you hanging - not good.

I used evolved mechanical for an installation and maintenance of a mini split system in my home. It was done during construction of an addition to my house. The team from Evolved Mechanical was very responsive and friendly throughout the process. My installation was a little complex due to the placement of the outdoor condenser which required a lot of back and forth with a contractor and even my towns inspection team. The prices were competitive with other installers.

The team from Evolved Mechanical did a great job installing central air conditioning in my house. From their onsite estimate and beating other contractors both on price and on communication, to their installation crews friendly, punctual, and professional behavior, I enjoyed working with the crew and Im glad I hired them. My boiler stopped working and I needed help. I emailed Evolved Mechanical LLC my info and someone was there the next day. They surveyed the boiler and came to the conclusion that it was not repairable and needed to be replaced. I had already been told this by another company but wanted a second quote. They came in almost 1,000 cheaper than the other company. They offer financing so as soon as I was approved, I accepted their offer. They were there the next morning. It took exactly how long they said it would. They even worked late to make sure we were warm. I Highly recommend Evolved Mechanical LLC.

They started when they said they would but we ran into some building issues that I needed to resolve. After researching plumbers, I was so happy to find this great company. They were polite and thoughtful (Thanks Monica and Jason!). They removed some old brass piping, replaced with copper, and updated things to accommodate a new washing machine. They managed to do everything in one day (thanks Eoghan!) and left the area cleaner than it was when they arrived (thanks Sam!). I would not hesitate to call them again.

Jason helped me out over the phone at 2am this past weekend. Boiler ended up over filled. Boiler wouldn’t fire up. Jason took the time to do some trouble shooting over the phone and gave me some pro tips. 20 minutes and I had the boiler firing away! Got the heat back on at the house and a day later they are on site to service the boiler to ensure it’s properly operating and functioning. I had a leak from the ceiling of my downstairs apartment over a weekend. On the phone, Evolved Mechanical were clear about the price difference between a weekend call (nearly $400 to show up, plus the cost of repairs) and waiting until a business day ($180, which would be credited to any repairs that I chose to do). I decided to wait it out until Monday morning.The technicians from Evolved arrived on time and were friendly, professional, and quick to diagnose and then resolve the problem. They kept me well informed the whole time, and were thorough about making sure that the place was cleaned up and in working order before they left.Overall, Im thrilled with the service. Mike is the consummate professional. He is friendly, knowledgeable and knows his stuff. We had a leak on our second floor bathroom which was seeping through the floor and into the first floor bathroom. Mike found the issue with the toilet on the second floor and replaced it. It was a hefty and complicated job but he did it seamlessly. His co-worker Eoghan came to help and Eoghan was helpful and extremely knowledgeable as well. I recommend Mike and Eoghan to anyone looking for plumbing. They both know their stuff! Great service from both.-Sal

Mike Porter came to my house to check the CO2 levels as a pre-installation check before an insulation company installs additonal insulation. I cant say enough good things about Sam OMalley and all of the workers at Evolve mechanical. They were very pleasant, professional, knowledgeable, and extremely fast and efficient. They really knew their stuff. They replaced our furnace and hot water heater in record time so we wouldnt be out of heat and hot water for more than a couple of hours. I highly recommend Evolved Mechanical! I mentioned to Jenn at Evolved Mechanical that my wife and I were interested in air conditioning, but werent sure if we would end up moving forward with it or not. Nevertheless, Jason came to our condo last year and gave us an estimate to install 3 Mitsubishi mini splits HVAC systems. Jason was extremely professional and the estimate was given to us before he left! At the time, we decided against moving forward with the quote, but made the decision to install them this June (1 year later).Monica, in the office, made it super easy for us. She scheduled our install and is now helping us apply for a rebate!Dan & Owen were the guys that installed the units. Not only were they professional, courteous and clean but they did a fantastic job with the install itself. The equipment is exactly where we asked them to install it. Dan & Owen were extremely transparent throughout the process which made us feel comfortable the entire time.Our circuit breaker also needed to be updated. Chico, the electrician, was also a pleasure to work with. Chico is an extremely hard worker and replaced our old circuit breaker with a new one. Generally, this would have been a lot more expensive but since Evolved Mechanical was already doing the install they gave us an amazing price to update our circuit breaker!I generally dont write reviews, but after my experience with the people at Evolved Mechanical I had to post something. If you are looking for a fair price and terrific service, look no further!

They worked tirelessly to get our 7 unit hyper-heat mini split install done during a week of miserable weather & freezing temperatures, and remained cheerful throughout. Dan has a great repore with his crew, kept everyone upbeat, and it showed in their work. They even made friends with our less-than-welcoming dogs. Ive had great experiences with Evolved. They have someone answering the phone on weekends, which is very rare to find, and technicians respond quickly, even on Saturday. Mike Porter was our technician and was punctual, extremely helpful, and responsive by text. He was able to fix a broken gas valve by Monday after diagnosing the problem and keeping our gas furnace running on a cold Saturday. He was very helpful, polite, and generous with his time and the job came out right on budget. I would highly recommend Mike and Evolved.

Sam contacted me before the appointment, and was there when I arrived. He was pleasant and took his time explaining what he was doing- in this case an inspection for knob and tube wiring before insulation install. He also answered questions about HVAC systems and electrical panel upgrades. Once up in the attick he made a throughout inspection, took pictures, which he shared, and answered more questions. I would highly recommend your company based on his service today.
