Lou and his associates were very personable and did the utmost to assist me and my beau! The store is very well stocked with a plethora of handy gadgets/tools! Stop by & peruse their inventory, youll be happy that you did! 🌟
Can you put a value on a local store where they know your name, provide exemplary service, offer advice and have everything you need to get a project completed On your home, boat or almost anything mechanical?Yes. Yes you can.For the few cents difference, quality products can be found here instead of the lowest bidder junk that comes from the big orange box store. No searching for an inexperienced orange-aproned person who may or may not work in this department .YOUR time is worth something. Why waste it in a dirty warehouse designed to sell you stuff you dont need? The Go To place is Brewers.Always has been too.Every member of the staff can assist you, or within literally seconds, get you to the person that can. You can ask advice from people who have actually used the products.YOUR neighborhood hardware store is known beyond our borders as The place to find it.Just like everyone knows Sals Pizza and Walters Hot Dogs, most of them know about Brewers.
Staff were very helpful and nice. I must agree its very nice 2 go hardware store n receive proper and correct information. I will come back.
Until this afternoon, I wouldve given this place five stars. Its a classic hardware store that caters not only to the homeowner but the boat owner, as well--a real Mamaroneck institution with a knowledgeable, helpful sales staff. Today, however, they let me down when they accused my honest-as-the-day-is-long 84-year-old father--a loyal Brewers shopper of many many years--of trying to cheat them regarding a $4 item.He and my mom had been in the store the day before to buy a can of spray paint. When they got home, they saw from the paint cans cap that it was not a good match for their project and put it aside to exchange it. When my father attempted to do this today, the clerk told him that the can had been used and was therefore unreturnable. Thing is, my dad hadnt opened the can (I know this for a fact) and said as much. In return, he was accused of lying and trying to pull a fast one. Like any honorable man, he was both offended and upset and asked to speak to the manager, who was, regrettably, not on the scene. So, in effect Brewers sold my parents a used product, and then, when they tried to return it, accused them of petty chicanery. I can forgive the former and do not for a second doubt that it was an honest mistake; its the latter that burns my biscuits. I get that there are some sleaze balls out there who do try to cheat businesses, and that sellers must devise some means of protecting themselves against fraud. Knowing the truth in this case, however, I cant help but be shocked at the nasty, petty way the clerk dealt with a loyal, elderly customer. Very disappointing.
Good they stay around now that I have a boat. Every town needs a Brewers.
Old time atmosphere with the personal touch. Infinitly better then home depot.
Good place for emergency needs, one-offs or speciality hardware needs.
Be sure you buy what you need. Returns are a problem here2 years ago I purchase Boat Life Caulk and it wouldnt come out of the tube. I was told that I was returning my old stuff after buying their new stuff. Turns out all the caulk was two years old. Recently it was a quart of $56.99 teak oil which they told me I had opened and was therefore unreturnable. I returned it as I had taken it off the shelf
Prices are usually higher than the big box stores, but they always have that part you forgot to get on your bigger shopping trips. Also the employees are always willing to help you find what you need (its not always easy to find it yourself here!)
Love this place. They can find anything!
They have practically everything!
