I went in looking for a gift and found that not only do the candles there smell amazing, but you can actually create your own!! I of course had to do it and, because of this, I have to shout out Alyssa for helping me through the process. She was my expert guide throughout the entire process, from choosing scents, to mixing them, and even creating the color for the candle! She made the very stressful (for me) process so much easier! 10/10 would reccomend, super fun and a great personalized gift idea! Ask for Alyssa if you ever need help or guidance! 😁

Customer of 4 years, I love the candles. The only ones I ever buy because of how environmentally conscious they are. I also love woodwick and slow burn. Make a trip here when you stop by Old Town!Recently I had an interaction that I misunderstood in the store. We just happened to be in Manassas for a few hours and stopped in Shining Sol while exploring the historic area. With my acute sense of smell its nice to finally walk into a scent shop that doesnt immediately cause me headaches. Im told this is because they use soy wax in their candles. The vibe in the store is pleasant, and the staff very knowledgeable on their various scents.Since sniffs are free, we made sure to smell every scented candle currently offered in the store. My favorite on this visit was Bomb Pop, which pays homage to the rocket pops of our youth, both in scent and its tricolor wax. It was tough to decide between Bomb Pop, the bonfire scented candles, the forest scented candles, the various fruit scented candles, and the unique scents of the branded KISS candles. So, we picked up Bomb Pop, Dragons Lair (a grapefruit scented candle), and a candle for a friend.

These candles are wonderful! The store itself is courteous, organized, and respectful to the beautiful historic district of Manassas. Check it out!

I found this company on Tiktok. This is my first time buying from them. They posted a video of their service dog Boba, who likes to help out by getting the candle lids. I commented asking if I placed an order if Boba would get the lid for the candle. They commented absolutely and gave me a discount code to try a candle. They even said that if I put in the buyer notes that I would like a note from Boba they would do that too. I placed my order and I picked the scent mountain king. I let them know I ordered a candle because of the fact that they would have Boba “package” it. I woke up the following morning to a video comment response and it was Boba packaging my order. I was so excited! I got my candle in 4 days. They secure the candles very very well. My note has a paw print and a note saying “thanks for being my new Tiktok friend. Xoxo Boba”. My heart melted. I am so blown away buy this companies customer service. They are so nice and went over the top for me. I have been burning the candle all day and it smells incredibly too. The smell is exactly how they describe it on the website. It has a wood wick that melts the wax evenly and it has a good throw (how far you can smell it from). I will 100 percent be ordering now orders. I highly suffers suggest you order at least one

Bought one of these candles in a shop on vacation and it smells divine. Was a little pricey, but I love candles. I burned it once last night and now it will not stay lit. Huge waste of money. I dont know if I just got a bum wick or what, but totally disappointed. 2 stars because it did have an amazing scent when it was lit for an hour.

We only buy our candles from this shop at this point. Their candles are truly the best! My personal favorite is the Shenandoah candle.

The staff are friendly and the shop is very cute and well kept. Everything is very organized by scent and size. The prices are pretty reasonable too. I loved Bomb Pop and Unicorn Tale, perfect sweet sugary summer scents. As others have said they burn very slowly and scents are very bold too! Definitely going back soon.

I’ve sold around $800 of Pete’s candles for a fundraiser for my school and finally decided to make a trip to the shop myself in hopes he was there. Sadly, he wasn’t, but this lovely young lady named Ruth was. Everything in there was so rustic and cute - I loved all of the wood pieces in the store. After smelling candles to my heart’s delight, I spotted the most gorgeous wax warmers on the back wall. Ruth was incredibly helpful. I ended up buying a celestial one for some Shenandoah wax my best friend bought for my fundraiser but thought it was a candle. I’m very excited to use it, and I’m happy to have met such a wonderful young lady. I hope to come back in the near future and say hi to Pete. :D

I was in this shop yesterday. I thought all of the fragrances were delightful. I like that the wax is soy and handmade. The staff were so friendly and knowledgeable. I will definitely be going back!!

To begin, as soon as you walk in it’s a welcoming smell lol staff was super friendly and was able to provide what I had seen online. Not all stores may price match to their online but they took care of me and got plenty of candles. Second, I left my candle on and left home (someone was home) for about 30 mins came back and my entire apartment smelled and i felt as if I was at the store again.Will be back to purchase more!

Everyone there is so nice and the candles are Ah-mazing!!! Ive turned so many people on to these candles. These arent your regular candles, these burn beautifully and smell fantastic. Do yourself a favor and go to Shining Sol and buy everything !!

Popped in early on a Sunday morning to grab a gift to take along on Thanksgiving day. Met Sarah and Elizabeth, who could not have been more friendly and helpful. Plenty of soy based candles to choose from. And theyre made on site!
