We’ve been bringing our daughter to Dr. Grote since she was a baby, and she’s 16 now! Dr. Grote and her team care so much about each patient, and she works tirelessly to help the individual hear to her greatest potential. She also works with us to make us advocates for our daughter wherever she is.In addition, Mark takes top notch care of our daughter’s hearing aids and always explains how to clean and maintain them in language we can understand. Care like this in today’s world of impersonal service is almost unheard of, but not at Dr. Grote’s office.
The Hearing Health Care Center of Manassas cared for me like I was family. The staff was professional and joyful from check-in to leaving the office. Dr. Grote and Mark were wonderful to help, care, and watch over me when I unexpectedly became ill in the office. I felt safe and was cared for by everyone. I would definitely recommend working with the center.
The staff was very friendly. The hearing assessment was comprehensive and Dr. Gote explained each step of the process with a genuinely kind demeanor. Would certainly recommend for both children and adults.
I am highly satisfied with the overall thoroughness of the entire process involved in the testing, selection and custom fitting of my new hearing aids. Mary Jo Grote PhD, is obviously very experienced, well trained, and thoroughly familiar with not only the subject matter (hearing loss, etc.) but with the vast array of technical details of the equipment she has to offer. She is also totally charming and willing to answer any question you wish to ask, as many times as you wish to ask it. Mark Grote, her son and associate, is also an important addition to the practice. He is very personable and very, very good at explaining and demonstrating the mechanics of operating hearing aids with the various pieces of equipment (phones, etc.) and Apps (Bluetooth, etc.,) that are an integral part of this business. I have a number of issues to discuss in my first follow up visit but am absolutely confident that they will be resolved in due time!
I’m glad others had good experiences once they saw the doctors. I didn’t get that far. Arrived for free hearing test and possible discussion about purchasing hearing aids and walked out after an extremely rude receptionist insisted I give her my Insurance cards. I explained I saw no need to provide that info at this point to which she responded we need this info and a picture ID and you need to fill out these forms. I told her I was Medicare and retired military and I just wanted the hearing test to see if I needed hearing aids etc. I said I don’t want any insurance inquiries made at this point. She said she still needs ID and for me to fill out forms. I handed her my ID and she “ripped” it out of my hands and made a head and facial and sound gesture as she did it. I was not being a jerk but hadn’t made up my mind if I was even interested yet in buying hearing aids etc. Anyway, I’m glad those who got to see the Doctors were very satisfied.
My audiological health has been well cared for by Dr. Grote and her staff at the Hearing Health Care Center of Manassas for many years. It was recently determined that I now have mild to moderate hearing loss and she recommended that I purchase hearing aids. I learned of the connection between untreated hearing loss and dementia and realized I needed to act. She and her staff have been most helpful in both choosing the best set for me but also in having them fitted properly. The follow up care is excellent. I would (and have) recommend this practice to anyone.

The Hearing Health Care Center of Manassas is simply the best hearing center in Manassas. And I know it is the best because we have used other hearing centers and experienced, first hand, the difference Mary Jo Grote and her staff made to our family. In addition to hearing loss, my elderly mother is physically handicapped and requires a little more care and patience than most. Mary Jo and her staff treated my mother just like she was their mother, with great patience and care. They provided us with a solution that was easy enough for my elderly mother to use and technically advanced enough for me to take advantage of the latest features and benefits. Mary Jo spent a great deal of time finding just the right solution for my mother and when she turned the new hearing aids on, my mothers facial expression and pure joy to finally be able to hear brought me to tears. My mother can now participate in conversations, does not need to turn up the volume on the television and can use a regular phone. Mark also took a great deal of time and care to explain everything in basic language my mother can understand. The Hearing Health Care Center of Manassas gave my mother a level of freedom and confidence she has not had in years. Mostly, they gave her the care she needed. Had my hearing aid sent back to replace. Received it back in 2 weeks (brand new). Within a month they started acting up again. It’s been 3 weeks and multiple phone calls with messages left, which were never returned. Still waiting for some kinda update or feedback.
I have been going to HHCCM for years. Mark, Mary Jo and Kelly are so friendly and easy to work with. They have done my hearing tests and provided my hearing aids as well. They are professional but very caring.They want to get it right which is re-assuring since my ability to hear depends on them. Highly recommended.
I responded to a facebook advertisement for a free consultation. I was immediately contacted by telephone to set up an appointment. They offered several choices and I picked the best time for my schedule.When I arrived I filled out the standard paperwork for Covid-19. I was made comfortable, by the health screening and policies.When I tested the Dr. was professional, explaining any questions I had and answered questions that I may have not thought up yet.Then came the test drive- what can I say? It was a fantastic experience.I would recommend this business to anyone that is looking to improve their life experience.

Audiologist Mary Jo Grote was MORE thorough than an ENT that I had wasted $350 on!!! She listened to me and took LOTS of notes. These days Healthcare providers don’t seem like they care or even know things. I can tell that she knows EXACTLY what she is talking about and I feel VERY confident with what she told me. I am VERY skeptical about the Healthcare industry these days and felt like I was taking a step back in time when patient care MATTERED!!!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS OFFICE TO ANYONE!!!!!!
I posted a review some months back criticizing the BUSINESS side of the practice due to the horrendous way they were processing or rather incorrectly processing my insurance claim. Turns out the incompetence was two-fold - it was the insurance company AND the office not being in sync on their contract terms. I took that post down to give them a chance to fix the problem but alas, it is STILL ongoing... Sadly, it took me pushing to get them to fix their problem. Now its 7 1/2 months later... The claim was settled a month ago. The practice got paid weeks ago. Im STILL waiting for my deposit back. Still only lip service from the business side of things. Do yourself a favor, find a practice with a competent business office. So sad for the Grotes since they are quality people - sadly, their business partners are not.

My wife and I have been seeing Dr Grote and Mark at Hearing Health Care Center of Manassas for about 15 years and are very happy with the service weve received. The examinations are always thorough and professional and results are explained clearly to us. We always feel like our hearing health is of real importance to the staff and were not just an appointment on the calendar. Weve never felt pressure to make a purchase and are always comfortable with the recommended treatment options. Like I said, weve been seeing the good folks at the Hearing Health Care Center of Manassas for over 15 years and God willing, well be seeing them for as long as we need hearing health assistance.
I recently visited Hearing Health Care of Manassas. Staff was super friendly and very easy to work with. Scheduling process was a dream - I even received reminder of my appointment. Check in process was a breeze and thorough enough for Doctor to understand my hearing concerns. Turns out I have Tinitus, which is chronic ringing in my ears. Doctor did a hearing test and gave me directions on how to best care for my hearing. Doctor also gave me directions and how not to aggravate my current situation. I’ll be going back in 6 months for testing again and look forward to seeing the friendly staff. I highly recommend Hearing Health Care of Manassas.
I have visited this center to have my toddlers get hearing exams done and each visit has been so pleasant. The staff are professional, friendly, and have great demeanor with little ones. I have left very confident about their knowledge and that my children are in great hands when being seen here.

I have been to three audiologists over the past 10 years. I found that the most extensive and thorough testing was done by Hearing Health Care Center and Dr. Grote. I appreciated both the care and the options presented. Now, all that is required is the arrival of the new hearing aids.

We had the most amazing experience at the Hearing Health Care Center yesterday. I never write reviews but I had to share this as it has restored my faith not only in audiologists but in humanity in general!!! My 91 year old mother is visiting from Florida and in spite of the fact that she has brand new state of the art hearing aids purchased last spring from her audiologist in Florida, she could not hear A THING! We found Mary Jo through the Signia manufacturers website and booked an appointment. Mary Jo worked with my mother for over two hours doing various tests and adjustments, none of which had ever been performed by her Florida audiologist who sold her these $7000 hearing aids. Her son then helped my mother better understand how to use the telephone app that controls the hearing aids. You would have thought they had all day set aside just for us even though it was late Friday afternoon and I am sure they were ready to close for the day. By the time Mary Jo was finished working her magic, my mother could finally hear well for the first time since purchasing these new hearing aids 6 months ago!!! As you can imagine we were prepared to pay anything for the help and professionalism provided Mary Jo and her team but she refused to take any payment and said she just could not charge us for this service!!! Wow. If you are looking for an audiologist who knows her stuff look no further than Hearing Health Care Center of Manassas.
I have been going to this place for approximately 12 years. They are professional but very calming and personable. Never would I recommend any other hearing health facility.
Seven years ago,I was referred to Mary Grote through the insurance my company had at the time. It was a life changing experience as I was thoroughly checked out and new hearing aids were recommended to me that changed my life at that time.During those seven years, I got to know Mark Grote as he cleaned and checked out my hearing aids from time to time.After seven years though, I had moved to a new job and was sorely in need for an upgrade. My new company offered a hearing aid plan that I took advantage of but after my initial visit, I decided to go back to Mary and Mark because of their excellent service and care. The decision wasnt hard at all as their dedication, compassion, attention to detail and sophistication of equipment are top notch and beyond compare. Marys staff is also excellent and you could not ask for a more friendly staff or environment when it comes to the health of your ears.
BAIT ans SWITCH. Mary Jo Grote was very professional and kind. They did a predetermination of benefits stating that I would owe roughly $1000.00 after insurance adjustments and payment. The bill arrived 5 months after I received my new hearing aids. $3,259.00 ---- WHAT? I called my insurance co, (Blue Cross Blue Shield) and they said no predetermination of benefits was ever done. I went to their office and spoke to her son (Mary Jo was unavailable). He was very smug at the situation and basically said it is what it it is, there was nothing that could be done. Oh and there is a 30 day return policy. Not much use since it took 5 months to get the bill.I feel used and abused. Mary Jo did not seem like this type of person. I was taken in by my trust in her.In the end Belsono agreed to split the cost with me. Fair i guess, what else was I to do,. Still they lied about the predetermination of benefits. Ive had Blue Cross / Blue Shield for over 45 years and have never experienced this before. Same with dentist (Delta Dental) and glasses (Davis Vision). There is always a predetermination of benefits done up front so you know what the cost is before you accept service. STRONGLY suggest YOU call your insurance co, and verify your costs.Added 1 star for Belsonos help in resolving this matter

Mary Jo Grote, my audiologist, genuinely focuses on how to increase my quality of life. Mark Grote performs the maintenance on my hearing aids and he is always thorough and instructive. Both patiently answer all my questions and concerns. I have recommended this company to my friends who experience hearing loss or just want to explore using hearing aids. In fact, a co-worker originally recommended Mary Jo Grote and her staff many years ago and I have been going ever since.
We moved to Gainesville, VA, 10 years ago. I already had hearing aids for both ears by then. About 4 years ago it became apparent that my hearing was declining and should seek out a new audiologist. Looking for a highly rated local audiologist in Checkbook we found Dr. Mary Jo Grote, Hearing Health Care Center of Manassas. Dr. Grote not only tested me for hearing loss but also for comprehension. The result was I had profound hearing loss in both ears. My first set of hearing aids were Siemens and provided outstanding help in my everyday conversations. For the next three years Dr. Grote tested me every 6 months and found that my comprehension had improved slightly. I am now on second set of hearing aids from the Hearing Health Care Center. They are Signia and so far are proving to be excellent instruments with features that are most helpful for a person my age.What makes the Hearing Health Care Center of Manassas so unique is the care and service to us patients by Dr. Grote. There is no doubt in your mind that she not only cares about how you hear but that she will work tirelessly to improve it to the best of her ability.
