Always feel taken care of by Dr Stahl and the staff here. Constantly upgrading and giving patients the very best care available. But what I like best is the personal service and the small town beach vibe.

Love Dr. Melendrez and his staff. They are all very efficient and pleasant to be around. The front desk girls are good about dealing with the financial and insurance coverage, and help with picking out glasses. Dr. Melendrez is professional and personable, important when it comes to patient care. I highly recommend this practice!!

LOVE this place! I have needed glasses all my life, and this is the first place I have actually liked going. Awesome doctors, office staff, and hours. They have a solid automated system and online booking, and are really creative about solutions and recommendations. Good about teaching contacts, all of it. You cannot go wrong at Beach Cities Optometry!

My husband went for his check-up yesterday and said it was fast friendly and efficient. He says if the doctors and staff were not so great hed never get his eyes checked. He loves everyone there.

I have seen so many optometrists throughout my life and this was the best experience I’ve ever had. The staff was so sweet when I walked in and the doctor was on time and was so informative throughout my exam. I have been wearing contacts for fifteen years and not once has a doctor walked me through the why and explain whats going on with my vision. He also had the best attitude. I without a doubt recommend this practice to anyone in the area. For the cherry on the cake, during my check out I was told they did not have a rebate for my contacts but to look online. I found one but in order to receive it, the office had to call and request the information. The front desk staff took my info and called me back within a couple hours. Maybe I am jaded by previous offices but they are so customer focused here and the entire staff cares about you. Thank you Beach Cities Optometry.

Dr Stahl is great. He updated my prescription and contact lenses and they are a perfect fit. Takes time to listen to your concerns and make sure your eyes are healthy. Highly recommend.

The lady who was helping me choose the glasses was really kind and PATIENT.The service is PHENOMENAL!!!As I was looking at the frames, there were so many sunglasses as well. After going to several other optometrist when we were new to the area, we found the optometrist here. We never have to wait long for an appointment, and after seeing several other doctors about various eye problems once we started coming here we have not had any as they were able to fix some of the complications we were experiencing which none of the other doctors were able to do. All around, Great patient care and a great office staff.

Complete testing of eye health and doctor spends adequate time discussing concerns! Highly recommend!

Friendly and efficient

Myself and my child have been going here for almost a full year. This year my child decided to try out contacts. When calling Stein to schedule sample contacts, they informed me it would cost an additional $60 contacts exam above my insurance. THEN they put me on hold, came back on, and told me it would also be another $20 training fee, so $80 total. WHAT--gimme a break. Also we found their selection of youth glasses to be pretty minimal.
