Would rate zero stars if I could. I read an article recently that this business owner was bullying and attempting to intimidate a small zero waste store in NY.. who had been doing business longer than this shop. This woman sounds like an awful, awful addition to the community and makes false claims in order to protect her *image*… Waste less time here. Think twice.It’s even more evident of who this woman is at her core as she attempts to cover up what is in fact the truth… so, so sad.

I totally agree with other reviewers. A great asset to the MB boutique retail scene. Knowledgeable staff -- my thanks to Elizabeth for converting me to a shampoo bar (gotta go back for a conditioning bar!) So helpful to see products in person. Definitely opened me up to new ideas.

Ah! I love it here. Was looking for somewhere to get bulk shampoo and found this cute place. Now I refill most of my household goods here. Lovely people and quality goods 10/10 recommend :)

I bought my baby boy a toy from this store for his birthday. He LOVES it, and I felt like the store made me a success by curating my options - only merchandising items that a beautiful, appropriate for a range of ages, and of course, something you can feel good about. People in any state should consider their easy to use website a homebase for their refill store, low waste shop, eco-friendly shop needs. I know their website serves the entire US and am so proud of them for maintaining quality and integrity with equal measure - so hard to do as a SMALL BUSINESS!

The owner of this store is suing another store in a small town in upstate NY because their names are similar. The other store has been open longer, is woman-owned and operated, and their mission is the same: create less waste. The lawsuit is forcing the store to change their name. The cost of rebranding + legal fees of changing their name (while still less than the cost of fighting the lawsuit and keeping their name) is putting so much financial stress on this small, locally owned business that they are at risk of closing. The idea that Waste Less is actually interested in creating less waste seems like a farce in the face of this lawsuit, as they are destroying a business trying to do the same thing, in an entirely different market than them.

This place is everything we’ve needed in the beach cities! Clean products that work great! Bring your old plastic or glass containers to refill and you can stop wasting materials and money. She’s got cleaning products, toiletries, kitchen items and much more... cute gift ideas with a purpose. The shop is open now but there will be a super fun grand opening November 23rd- see you there!!

This shop and shop owner does not care about reducing waste OR supporting women-owned businesses if they are willing to sue another shop across the country for having a SIMILAR name (not even the same name!). To try and put another company out of business like that that doesnt even compete with you, I wont be returning. Notice their response to all the people pointing out their misdeeds.

The Waste Less Shop makes adding sustainable items to your home a breeze! I started small, switching from paper towels to their Unpaper Towels by Marleys. Now our whole dish cleaning process is from the shop. Next up in my quest to be more sustainable: laundry!

What a disappointment. The owner is so disingenuous and does not follow her mission statement about being ethical and supporting women owned businesses and “female creators”. I would not recommend this store to anyone and will not be shopping here. If you’re looking to shop sustainably and make eco-conscious choices, there are other shops to choose from that also commit to ethical business practices.

Super cool Manhattan Beach shop, with amazing staff! I try really hard to be a better citizen for the planet, and this place helps me do that. I have been endeavoring to reduce my plastic consumption and The Waste Less Shop has really helped me make sustainable transitions in my everyday life, including their refill options like shampoo, dish soap, and laundry liquid. They are super friendly as well!

My boyfriend found this shop when looking around for sustainable Christmas gifts for me. The manager helped him pick out the perfect sustainable care package catered to me! When I went in the following week they remembered us and were super helpful. If youre looking to support a local small business, make an impact on the environment, and be treated like part of the family, look now further and shop here! They cary the best products and are so sweet!

I highly recommend! Lots of great sustainable items that are not easy to find in the area. Love the beechwood dish brushes, and Im so impressed by the powdered toothpaste! I ordered online and they brought my order to Riviera farmers market, which was so handy for me. Plus, Stephanie is super nice and so helpful :) Thanks for helping us reduce our waste with high quality products!

Since the start of the pandemic, I’ve become more aware of the volume of waste I generate and wanted to do something about it. I stumbled upon The Waste Less Shop and haven’t looked back. I love so many of their products and am slowly transitioning them into my life to replace the junk I’ve used for years. My favorite part of the shop, though, may be the people. Every time I’ve been there or visited them at the farmers market, they’ve been so helpful with recommendations and explanations on how best to use their products. I love it and will be a forever customer!

I purchased the lavender shampoo and conditioner bar set, this is the first time I have used shampoo and conditioner in the form of a bar and it did not disappoint. My hair feels amazing + I feel good about using less waste to clean my hair.

I absolutely love this store. They also partake in the Redondo Beach Farmers Market if the store is too far. Not only am I wasting less but the actual product they use is great since they are non toxic natural ingredients. They implemented thorough precautions to keep us safe (e.g. non-toxic hand sanitizer, limited number of people in the store, mask wearing, and the staff handled all refills). They have the first palm oil-free castille soap Ive found! Loved this store!

Absolutely love this place! I got the Tangie laundry detergent bar, jar & dispenser lid and I love it so much! My clothes are much softer and smell amazing. Definitely recommend it! Great shop & the shipping is always very fast too.

This shop has made wasting less and using more natural products without all the gross chemicals EASY! I cannot say enough good things about Steph who runs the shop, she is so helpful when figuring out which products are right for our needs. In addition to the refill room, a few of our household favorites include the laundry bar, the magical stain remover bar (seriously red wine vs white comforter = no problem) the silicon covers and the reusable produce bags. Congratulations on a beautiful store, so happy to have you in the South Bay!

For Christmas, our wonderfully, vocally talented granddaughter, Vegan Princess Lena, gave us an ice tea dispenser with a bar of soap? Being old, we were a little confused, but then she explained that it was laundry soap. We love it!! So much neater than drippy soaps, no more huge plastic containers to dispose of and no phosphates which is kind to our septic system. Thank you, Lena. We love it!!!

I recently purchased from this eco-friendly store. First at the shop, which I was greeted happily at the door and TWLS team members walked me through products I was interested in and filled up my containers with my essentials. I truly love this store’s emphasis and purpose to utilize waste in a eco-friendly manner. Second, purchase was at the Riviera Village Farmer’s Market, which were pre-filled essentials, which I was excited about. The products I purchased was the Rosemary Mint Shampoo and conditioner, Orange Blossom Hand Soap, which smells amazing!! And the bamboo cutlery, which are sturdy and convenient on the go.

My new fav shop in the area! I love bulk items and try to follow a zero waste lifestyle for years now. So, Im glad I found this one. Great products, resourcing and sweet Owner. Im super pleased with my oily skin face mask powder, & organic toner! I can smell all the herbs and freshness of it. It has already made a difference for me (with my already rigorous skin routine lol). I mixed some toner with the mask and some rosewater and the results were great!!! Also I mixed my rosemary mint conditioner w/ the lavender conditioner they have and its great as well! Smells amazing of course and seems really nourishing for my hair. My hair sucks up moisture as easily as it loses it so this will keep it in check haha. Thanks stephanie!
