I went in to get a tire rotation. There was a mix up at the desk and long story short, I had all new tires put on my car with someone else’s permission. Brett was very apologetic and explained the whole situation. He was honest and up front and didn’t make excuses. He did what he could to make it right with us since tires were put on without me being able to choose them first. We will continue to bring all of our vehicles here for any and all tire services needed! You don’t find many places that will own up to their mistakes and make things right anymore, but Brett and Discount Tire did just that! We are customers for life.

Been coming for years, always great prices.Service has always been very good, until today.Came in with my vehicle and had to wait 20 min to get checked in while the sales people were just standing around inside.When I returned to pick up my vehicle and pay I stood in the lobby for 10-15min with no acknowledgment of my waiting, then they were going to help a customer that came in 10 minutes after I did that hadnt been waiting at all.Rather frustrating

I spoke with Tyler on June 1, 2021 and ordered a set of tires. The quoted price of the tires, including the balancing, mounting, and disposal of the old tires was $464.00. With a mail-in rebate of $70.00, my bill would be $394.00. When I arrived for the appointment, and I believe I was speaking with Jacob to pay for their services prior to the installation, he told me it would cost about $640.00. I questioned the discrepancy. As I discussed this with Jacob, Tyler was at the register next to him. Tyler explained that the cost Jacob was to charge me was accurate. As Tyler reiterated these figures to me, I made it clear to both of them that I was leaving, asked for my keys, then left. At no point prior to the appointment was I informed of all the other fees. It was crystal clear to me prior to the appointment that, with the rebate, I would spend a total of $394.00. I neither appreciate deceit, nor appreciate lying. Should the manager of the store choose to call me by phone, I would be willing to discuss the matter.

Great service! They didn’t try and upsell me and trick me into paying for more just because I’m a girl. I purchased the cheapest tires, they realized that they only had 3 of those tires so then they put on the next best tires (being more expensive) but didn’t charge me more. He apologized for that happening and was very kind and respectful!

All the staff I interacted with from start to finish with my tire balancing were professional and very courteous. Even sitting in lobby waiting and listening to how they spoke with customers on the phone was refreshing as this level of customer service is hard to come by these days. Always get my tires rotated here and buy my tires through them. When buying they are very knowledgable and if your tires are close to needing to be replaced they will sometimes even tell you hey there is going to be a sale or if you come back at this time there is a rebate. Been a time or two where my tire sensor goes off post rotation appointment and Ill stop back in and theyll fix it right away! When getting your tires rotated it can take a while but its either wait and be patient or pay for a shop to do it when you get your oil changed. The staff here is kind and the place is always clean so I think its worth the wait :)

I had punctured my tire outside of Sleepy Eye, MN. I was staying in New Ulm, MN and there was nothing open on Saturday. So, I made it to Discount Tire and Alex helped me figure out which tire I needed. He highly suggested I get the same tire and wait til Monday. I arrived on Monday afternoon and Tyler called and worked with my warranty claims for an hour. He was so patient, professional, and took care of everything. While I was standing there, Alex says, Hi Cheri! It shocked me he remembered me. They are so busy you think they wouldnt remember you. He went out and put my tire on and put my spare away. These guys are amazing. This place was so busy and they handled it GREAT! So many people coming in and out, phone ringing, and they handled it with grace! Thank you so much for helping me.

I have done most of my tire and wheel purchases through discount tire of mankato, mn. Simply because they usually can match or beat competitors price. My most recent experience here was not as simple as it usually is however. I had to literally hound them to get help ordering wheels. Called at least 6 different times and was told I would get a call back each time. However, I never got a call back at all. I finally got wheels ordered through them and asked that they call me asap to schedule an appointment for installation. I Didnt get a call back again....... I had to call them to see if shipment arrived yet and made a appointment after I was told they had them . I really wasnt going to leave a review about my negative experience this time but I received a large scuff on the front end of my vehicle during the wheel swap. It was a larger scratch with tire greese smeared that I was unable to fully clean and buff out.

Had discount tire install 4 new tires on my truck. 70 miles later a wheel fell off and struck another vehicle going the opposite direction on the highway. I used a calibrated torque wrench on the remaining wheels bolts, they were torqued to 167% of the manufacturers specification. The manager at the Mankato location was initially helpful with the towing bill, but when I attempted to return the tires was less so. I have been buying tires from this company for many many years, but will never again.

Called in to get a quote on winter tires for my Kia, Bryan answered and helped me out with all my questions and he was very professional over the phone .went in purchased 4 Michelins and got the best price in town .Bryan made sure the guys got me out really fast because I was late to work and advised me that m if car needed alignment.. great customer service I highly recommend this place

Gone here before. The customer face these guys give is friendly, reassuring. They know how to suit you and take care of your needs and also how to handle you and your problem professionally.With that being said. I talked to the manager last night over the phone to set up an appointment today at 345 for a pair of tires, i got to discount tire at 515 and my car hadnt even been touched yet. They accidentally skipped over me. And those type of things happen I understand that.I love DT a lot but these type of things honestly shouldnt happen. They redeemed themselves by getting my car into the shop Pronto, but I still had to wait almost 2 hours after my scheduled appointment for a 30 minute job. They still did a good job taking care of me when I got there. Little mix ups happen, but man does it get old. I would recommend DT for anyone looking for the best in the business. Ive been to tire associates and tires plus, even worked at tires plus and discount does it the best. Quality tires, and quality customer service. Just a little mix up is all

I hit a curb resulting in a fairly decent sized gouge to the side of a tire only to find out the location where I had purchased all new tires 2 months prior does not offer road hazard warranty/replacement of any sort.I did have to purchase a new replacement tire, but they offered a refund/replacement warranty on all tires, including the ones not purchased there.Gives me peace of mind knowing they will be covered in case anything were to happen in the future.Ryan and the team were extremely helpful with everything.Will definitely be going back for any future tire needs and recommend Discount Tire.

Curtious staff however arrived 5 minutes prior to my appointment time and it is 1.5 hours later and my car has still not even been pulled into shop yet. I understand they are busy but I have an appointment and expect this should be honored. This is ridiculous.

Booked an appointment a week prior, took over an hour. I sat in shop and waited so I saw that my car wasnt even moved from the parking lot for 45 minutes past my appointment.Then one of my valve stems was broken by staff.Within 100 miles of the new tires, I had 2 low tires (one of which was the tire they had replaced the valve stem on). Brought to another location to be told tires were leaking due to valve stems not being sealed properly.I wont be back -buyer beware.

This will be the oddest 1 star review. Discount tire receives 5 STARS from me on price, buying and service experience, but they fail miserably at recovery from a glitch in their procedures. I lost a wheel cover driving home from having new set of tires mounted. Called and talked to Marc, facility manager and he guaranteed me that they would get and send cover to RV Park I was headed to in Texas. Well 6 weeks later, no cover. Called 2 weeks ago and talked to a young gentleman who told me he would personally handle it that day for sure. 2 weeks have gone by, no cover. Just called and spoke with same young man again and he said he lost his note so figured I would eventually call back. He now says it will be shipped today or tomorrow. You would think Marc and this gentleman would be personally driving the box to UPS to ship ASAP. They need a little training on corrective actions to eliminate this hassle permanently. I have purchased all my tires including RV tires there since they opened.

Service was great and they were busy. I hope the tires are as good. Time will tell.

Went in for a rotation and balance, there was some miscommunication and only the rotation was done. Once I noticed I called and they got me in at my convince and took care of me. Burned more of my time but they were super polite and the customer service is A+. Its always respectable when businesses take ownership and try to fix things. Will not hesitate to do business here again!

Took my vehicle in Saturday to get the tires rotated and balanced. A couple of my tires had also been needing air added monthly. When I picked up my vehicle, the low tire pressure sensor was still on. After a couple hiccups with the low tire pressure sensor not turning off, I spoke with Marc. This was at the end of the day on Monday. He had me bring the vehicle in right away, took the leaky tires off and fixed the problem. 5 stars for Marcs customer service!

Great service, 4 new tires. Was in and out in 20 minutes.

Took our vehicle there, had new tires put on it. As soon as we got home one of the tires went flat. Called them and they told me to bring it up, along with they would be able to get it in and wouldn’t make me wait. Sent an employee with the car, he sat there for almost an hour and then they told him to come back later in the day. By the time I get the tire fixed I will have spent half of what the tire costs with my time for going up there. They should’ve never told me to go back up there in the first place.

David greeted me with a friendly smile and a good handshake. We walked around the vehicle so he could get the information he needed. We cracked a couple jokes and shared some laughs. Went inside and and entered the information in the computer, this took a little bit of time but was in no way an inconvenience. David had to ask a couple questions to I assume his manager who in my honest opinion could have done better with answering them. Flat out said to David in front of me (the customer) Well you did this completely wrong. He turned the computer towards himself and started hitting buttons. Did nothing to explain to David what mistake he made and how to fix it. Instead left him and I to stand there and wait. Besides that, 5 stars all day long. Great job done by David and the guys in the shop who work super hard. Manager guy, be a little bit more friendly and Ill give you a star to make it a perfect 5.

Great warranty for tires but the communication and time estimates are poor when it comes to having an actual actual appointment. I consistently have issues with having a scheduled appointment and work not being timely. I’ve schedule rotations, repairs, and replacements for a set time when I arrive it’s not uncommon for my car to sit 40 minutes in the lot before it’s even taken back despite my scheduled appointment.I’ve talked to reps and said if it’s going to take a while to get to my car just let me know and I’ll run errands and bring it back when they can actually get to it since they can’t seem to do the job when it scheduled. They often say it will just be fifteen minutes which it never is while telling others they can probably get to their cars earlier than scheduled.It’s getting old waiting over an hour beyond my scheduled appt. for a tire rotation because they overbook themselves and overpromise a quick turnaround time. I’d appreciate an honest timeframe and if I have a scheduled appointment for 1130am then do the job close to that time instead of bringing it back 40 minutes later. Great warranties but subpar service when it comes to poor scheduling.Also I purchased tires warranties for 70,000 miles I’m at 30,000 and am scheduled to have to replace because they are already worn down.

Poor service and even with an appointment had to wait 5 hours to get 4 tires installed. Initially charged for having Tire Pressure Monitoring System but our car is old enough not to have this on our vehicle and it doesnt but still charged like we did until we corrected service staff. Wonder how often extra charges are added when they shouldnt be? And no apology for this! Wont be back!

They were very thorough in reviewing the tire choices and also in asking the right questions to allow an informed decision. They called me right away when tires were done. They had gotten them done before they told me, which all was great customer service.

Had a 3 oclock appointment, and when I arrived it was incredibly busy, however it was due to the Labor Day sale. The store was clean, the staff members were very pleasant and courteous. The wait time given by the staff member was pretty spot on even for as busy as it was and my car. If you are interested in taking advantage of any of the rebates they provide I would suggest processing the rebate request on the website. I was approved for my rebate within 24 hours and my cards have been mailed out. Total process took about 2 weeks

Walked in with a flat tire. They looked over our car, I knew the tires were getting close to being out of depth. They told us the options and price ranges, ended up buying a whole set with a very good price. Back on the road in an hour.
