I love this place, it’s my neighborhood coffee shop. Bagels and coffee are great, but no one is enforcing proper mask policy. 1 in 10 people were wearing it correctly, and in a tiny store like that, that can be really bad. This is a review being written out of love for this coffee shop, PLEASE start enforcing masks better. I don’t know if I will come back in the foreseeable future unless I know that it’s a safe space to get food from.

Just stopped here this morning for their many vegan options and I was very happy. The place is very clean and they offer such yummy looking and tasty food. The ladies at the front counter were very helpful and even told me about their vegan Thursdays when they have other options like cookies and scones. Can I just say this is probably one of the best vegan cream cheeses I have ever had. And the bagel was really great too :-) quiet and relaxing atmosphere and everything was perfect. I look forward to many more visits.

We drove down from the Twin Cities to visit our family and ordered a box of sandwiches. They were a HUGE hit, individual packaged and labeled and delicious.

This place is great! The staff are super friendly and attentive! Food quality is excellent, you can really tell that’s it fresh! I highly recommend the bent river on a sesame bagel! Which are made fresh every day! Chewy and delicious! but you gotta have it with pesto added! I also love the jalapeño lemonade! Sweet refreshing and it’s gotta little spicy kick to it! They have my favorite espresso bean in Mankato. Very mellow, never bitter. Also the rewards is actually worth it. It pays off pretty quick. That or I just eat here to often haha. 10/10 would recommend!

I love this place. I am not a regular costumor yet, but the design and the inner decor is beautiful and relaxing. It is nice to chill and have a nice time with friends.Sad that they changed the work hours from 9am to 3pm.

This morning we were crossing through Mankato on 169 and wanted a healthy breakfast, and we did not want to diverge off our route. I am so happy to have found Tandem Bagels! We ordered online and picked up as we drove through town, just off 169. The food was quality and the latte delicious!! I would stop here anytime I needed wholesome food, on the go through Mankato! Thank you!

Coffee was okay just not my cup of tea but I will go and try another one. Bagel sandwich was very satisfying and I will call it the blueberry coffee cake was excellent.

Very delicious but quite small for the price.

Very clean, nice ladies. Some Bagels are not topped well which reduces flavor. After eating a Bagel without anything on it I discovered that the doe mixture lacks flavor and rise, Im hoping they adjust the mix to increase the quality.

So so. Drenched my bagel in liquid butter. 4 napkins to soak up the overflow. Only 3 tables in the place that were taken by lingering coffee drinkers. Dont care for bar stools with no backrest

Ordered and paid for their 20 oz size drink and got the wrong size. I went back up to the counter to ask if it was the right size and they said yes. I then saw a gentleman walk out with a cup larger than the one I had and knew I didn’t get the right size. Small inconvenience but definitely not worth lying about it.

Every time I go this place is better. And theyre really making a string effort to keep everyone safe and happy during the pandemic. Outdoor seating is amazing, and indoor seating is fastidiously sanitized. Its the exact sort of comforting atmosphere I want, and I can never get enough of their coffee and food.

Super friendly staff, lots of food and coffee options (not to mention seasonal items 🙂) that are all delicious, AND theyre environmentally conscious - all single us products are compostable! Spend your money here! You wont regret it!

Theyre just a block from the convention center which makes this place pretty convenient when you need good quality coffee on a break. They offer comparable cups and a nice discount if you bring your own (thanks for doing your part, Tandem!). Highly recommended!

The bagels, spreads and sandwiches are so tasty! They have a big menu which is nice. Vegan cream cheese available. Bagel prices are very fair for the quality. Coffee was a tad overpriced, although the drinks were well made. Huge points for their focus on being ENTIRELY COMPOSTABLE!!!

They are super friendley I would recommend this place we are from Wisconsin and we came here and they greeted us and then we ordered a ham egg and cheese sandwich gluten free it tasted delicious I would recommend this place to anyone who can not have gluten they evan changed the gloves.

They have the best vegan cream cheese! I purchased the strawberry vegan cream cheese and I am in awe of how good it is. I highly recommend buying the vegan cream cheese if you are sensitive to dairy or a vegan! The vegan maple peach scone was also super tasty. The bagels were extremely good as well.

Thee premier bagel jaunt in Mankato. From espresso, to soup, tasty treats, to hot sauce to take home. They offer VEGAN friendly cream cheese and most of the bagels (excluding chocolate and cheese) are VEGAN. They have a great staff and even better bagels man.

Their staff is always friendly and they create an inviting atmosphere. Their seasonal and monthly menus are always great choices to mix it up!

I like this place and the staff is friendly and the food is yummy. I had a toasted bagel ( could of been toasted more, mostly warm bread) and a hot chocolate and unfortunately the hot chocolate, though made with milk it tasted like alcohol/chemical cheap chocolate syrup taste. I will not order hot chocolate there again.

Although Ive visited Tandem before, this was my first time since they first opened. Although there was a bit of a mess on the sidewalk, the store looked presentable and very welcoming. Inside was a bit cluttered, however it added to the appeal of the store. Im a big fan of toasted bagels. Tandem bagels hits the mark what it means to be a toasted bagel. Their bagels are super crispy. If youre not a big fan of toast bagels, I recommend you try it. Its on a whole another level. Although the bagels are as big as some places, they are very flavorful. This cafe offers a wide selection of drinks and coffee that I highly recommend.

I am part of the rewards program where you just have to give your phone number every time you are there. Because of it, I received a free bagel with cream cheese! So, today I chose to stop and get a blueberry bagel with the strawberry cream cheese. HOLY MOLY, it was tasty! It was the best way to start my morning. Thank you, Tandem Bagels!

Tandem is my absolute favorite breakfast place in Mankato. The staff is the best! They make amazing bagels and probably the best cup of coffee in town.

I love the selection and taste of the bagel sandwiches. We try to stop by every time we visit my mom. The ordering area is a bit small and can be cramped, yet the staff are friendly and the rest of the place is cozy and comfy

Food is good but the portions are super small. I was able to eat the bagel in 3 bites which is quite sad. Otherwise mochas are amazing here! Better than Caribou, Starbucks, or the Coffee Hag

What a gem. This bagel and coffee shop is always packed because there isnt anything else comparable in the Mankato area. The staff is superb, the bagels are phenomenal, and the prices are reasonable. Great outdoor seating in the summer and a cozy atmosphere inside.The coffee has been a little hit-or-miss for me but almost always is on point. Perfect joint for breakfast and lunch. If youre in the area, its a cant-miss.

Interesting that a bagel shop does not serve breakfast all day. Got here a little after noon on a Sunday, and we were told that they stop serving eggs at noon. Very frustrating.

I have only been here once, but from what I experienced I would most likely not return. I ordered a BLT sandwich and it took a long time to make because they didnt have any bacon already heated. The lady asked if I wanted my bagel hot and I said yes which I regretted later when my bagel was hard as rock. One lady there was fairly nice but the rest of the staff looked half asleep and not happy to be working.

I was too upset by my visit to actually eat anything. My companion and I were obviously together, but the server refused to take our orders together. Instead she took his order, asked him a hundred questions, made his bagel, took his money -- at this point I assumed that she thought we were strangers who just walked in off the street at the same time, so I said something about us being together. But she continued to ignore me. She didnt even say Ill be with you in a moment. When she started on his coffee without even glancing in my direction, I had enough. Thats no way to treat customers!

Nice, cozy little spot downtown Mankato. I stopped in for lunch and had the Tour de France sandwich. Would be a nice spot to do work/study with a coffee in hand, too.

Friendly staff, delicious bagels & amazing coffee!

Ordered a bagel with egg and cheese, expecting the egg and cheese to be place on it separately. Instead they scrambled the egg and cheese together and it looked like something youd expect from a truck stop diner, not a bagel shop. It was messy and I couldve paid a lot less for the messiness elsewhere. This place is obviously not as classy and superb as others say.
