Menards selection of products is surprising every time I go in there. They almost always have what I need even when I dont know what its called. Very helpful without being pushy.

This afternoon my wife and I attempted to return a few items purchased about a month ago. The customer service lady asked to see my receipt but I forgot it at home. She then suggested we may be able to locate one on the companies computer app. I know very little about computers so she guided me through the process and we found a copy of my receipt. She then used that receipt to refund my money. Her name was Alissa and I want to commend her on her courtesy and helpfulness! She is a definite asset to Menards! Thank You!

I was really impressed that the water was on sale and it was really good deal however I was extremely disappointed that with all of the groceries they sell there they do not take SNAP benefits!

Compared selection at a couple of places and came back here to buy. Different Menards have different selections of products, however, so check the inventory on-line before taking the trip.

What cant you find at Menards? Fuzzy frisbee for a dog, tweezers and flashlights are what I left with on this trip, and it was all for a great price. They were pretty crowded but they seemed to have items throughout the store in stock. Very helpful employees. Quick checkout.

Other than walking to the rear to store to order lumber then to walk to the front to pay for lumber then to drive to the rear of the store to pick up lumber is a pain

I would recommend you go to New Ulm Menards they are very help and friendly..Mankato employees werent very helpful or friendly. Staff will take you to what you are looking for but it seemed like it was a bother.Mendards delivery service is very confusing and the Mankato delivery service employees were not helpful. Menards has some strange policies on Orders, very disjointed, and that is inflected on customers. It can cost a customer mutiple charges on deliveries for what a customer would consider a single order. Again New Ulm delivery staff was very help and explained and asked me questions about my order.I have also noticed that Menards quality of goods has declined.

Well its mask free. Thought the employees no matter what department they are in should help out if ask to do so. We went to buy a lawn mauer and we asked kindly if we can get help from a young man and he was a rude gentlemen. He refused to help us lift the mauer to our cart and said we can lift it our selves. Very rude and also looked as if he were on drugs. Idk

Appreciate the requirement of masks for employees and customers. Some employees need to where the mask properly. Not covering the nose is seen. Might as well not wear a mask. Bought $2600 some dollars worth the fence supplies and since I live a 140 miles away from mankato I had a truck going thru mankato stop and pick it up. The driver was being helped by 2 menards employees when one employee told the guy picking up the supplies they didnt have time to help him load all the stuff. Guess my money didnt pay his wage for the month or anything. If they dont wam tmy money Ill gladly go elsewhere

I spend a lot of time at Menards. With the exception of name brand power tools, they have a good selection of everything. The employees know what they are talking about. The store is clean and well-lit. The garden center is great in the spring. The lumber yard is massive, yet easy to find stuff.

I went to return something one of their associates wrongly told me was what I needed. As I walked up to the service counter 2 young men were in a yelling match with who must have been their supervisor . The young man who helped me got the job done but was rude and short with me. He then went back to complaining about his supervisor who had walked away in a huff at this point. Not a pleasant place to shop. If you want good customer service and quality products stick to Home Depot. This has always been the case but it is even more apparent in the age of Covid.

I always like going to Menards. They usually have whatever I need to get the job done. I have purchased many different tools as well as flooring and doors. Customer service is always willing to help direct you in the right direction for whatever you need to get. Staff are usually willing to help answer questions and give you advice. I have been able to find many different things over the years. The prices are fairly reasonable as well. They frequently have rebates available too and I have sent that in numerous times. Good store in my opinion. If you cant find what you are looking for, you can always ask. If they dont have it, then you go somewhere else. They usually have good quality stuff along with lower quality too and a wide variety. Check it out and if you dont like it, go somewhere else. I do try to avoid the bathrooms because they are not the best but this is the case in many public bathrooms.

Ive gone out of my way to give Menards a LOT of money during this pandemic for home improvement goods (several custom windows, paint, other building supplies, etc.) because theyre one of the few companies in town who cared enough about their employees and customers to require face masks before the ordinance required it this week. Its nice to support a Midwest company anyway, but in these times that makes all the difference.

The store itself is not bad. The employees on the other hand need to learn how to treat the customers with respect. Too many bratty college kids that think the customer is beneath them. Two of them for instance purposely took 20 minutes to unload a pallet of wood while blocking the exit to go down. Needless to say the wood they were stocking did not need to be done since you cant even get the wood out because they forced the last boards in. Then there was this amazing cashier, we will call him P, not to protect his identity but because that was the only thing on his name tag. He was the worst cashier to have. When checking out I had purchased 6 6 screws that he literally threw down the conveyer belt. After that he proceeds to continue slamming things down and being rude. He also had no problem sending the next guy through before we could bag up or even gather the things he lackadaisicallie threw down the belt. The guy behind us was treated with just as much respect. Im sorry but if I ever see him there I will definitely avoid that line. So thank you Mankato for making sure I never want to return to your store again. Ill be going to Dundas or else where for my home improvement needs.

The staff at menards is exceptional and informative in their departments. If the checkout or customer service lines are long, they will open up new ones accordingly to ensure your visit isnt lengthy. The prices are great, and the sales are even greater. Theyre handicap accessible, and have plenty of handicap parking spaces. Whatever youre looking for, menards will have it.

Menards is the most underrated place! They always have amazing deals and a great selection of dog stuff!

Stopped in for a specific item in the electrical department. We spent a couple minutes searching for it ourselves before finding an associate who instantly knew what we were after. He took us directly to the product, and placed it in our hands from the shelf, just as a trained associate should do. He was great help and was able to fetch what we needed in no time at all. Would return in a heartbeat...even if we were after one little item.

Bought siding, went to yard to pick it up. No one there to help and it was on the second level. Definitely not easy to get it down.. Hopefully they change that for the next person!

My experience at Menards in Mankato was horrible. Our family has spent THOUSANDS of dollars in their one store. I have a medical condition that doesnt allow me to wear a mask or anything covering my face and mouth. The GM BOB told me I had to leave since I refused to wear a mask. Even though I have a signed Dr letter exempting me from wearing a covering on my face. He then proceeded to hand me a mask to wear. I told him Im HIGHLY allergic to the masks they hand out and I will die from wearing one. He said that since they are a private company the can refuse service to anyone even what the ADA laws say. I wont do any business with Menards again and will file a law suit with the company.

We have been working on renovating our newly purchased home and we have had so many questions/needs. We go straight to Mo at the contractors desk right away. He will take us around the whole store and give us his input and if he doesnt know the answer he will always find out. The BEST service we have ever received, hands down! Mo needs a serious raise!! Busy place God in and out found everything I needed plus a few things

This is specifically for online ordering. I will still visit Menards on occasion, but we also have Home Depot and Fleet Farm which are both much better to deal with. I tried to cancel an online order after the initial estimate for delivery was off by a week. Five days later a shipper called to set up delivery. I told them the order was cancelled. He said they had not been told and that was typical of Menards. Then, Menards initially refused to cancel the order. They said I had received the order, which I hadnt. Then, they said I had picked up the order in St. Croix Falls, but I live in Mankato and dont even know where that is. Finally, after a few weeks they refunded my money. Their customer service is horrible. You can only contact them by email. Then, their responses will take several days. At a time of catastrophic unemployment they cannot hire some people to help out. What a joke! For online orders, you are MUCH better off with Home Depot. It is not close.

My husband and I were shopping for supplies for building a Chicken Barn last Saturday. We had at least three staff help us when we needed them and they were all very helpful. Matt @ the lumber section, A gentleman who directed us to find calk/plumbing section and another man who helped us out in the lumber yard. 4 hours of planning/shopping can be frustrating, but we were very grateful for the help of your staff. Thank you for all your employees do!

Great selection... BUT Customer Service is Poor at best... One CS person tells you one thing and another CS person you tells something else when get to the store. NEVER EVER Buy Gas Powered equipment from Menards The item was defective right out of the box. 10 days old, now that you put gas and oil in it to find out if it works.... Now it become non-returnable at Menards... Never again...

Theyve got gizmos and gadgets aplenty. They got whosits and whatsits galore. Thingamabobs? Theyve got 20.But who cares? No big deal... Theyve got moooooooooooooooore!This place literally has everything you need and then some. I really often get lost in there trying to look at every single item. In fact Ive been here for 17 days now trying to find the exit. Ive gathered the supplies needed to survive from the various departments and Im sure I would have made it out by now if it werent for all the cool things on the end caps that are on sale. Damn those good deals and things I never knew I needed...Ill report back when I locate the exit. Until then, wish me luck escaping this place of amazingness.

In my experience, I usually dont save big money here because I am always doing a project, but the 11% sales are great! And I feel like Im always going to Menards because every project requires a MINIMUM of 3 trips to the store. The only thing they literally didnt have that I needed was a dish drying rack. The toilets capable of flushing buckets of golf ball? Well, theyll have you covered!

Menards has always been my go to home improvement store locally. Their employees are knowledgeable and their selection is great! Right now theyre remodeling to make the store even better. I would highly recommend Menards over the other home improvement stores.

They were awfully rude about wearing a mask.

I bought a 1x4x8 cedar toned board and ended up waiting well over a half hour for the help to assist me only to be told there were none and I had to go back in the store to exchange it. My half a mile walk to exchange it on paper took longer than I had hoped.....

Always can find a sale

Menards in Mankato was discriminating against me and my son. Told me people with our disabilities were not welcome on site. What if a guy in a wheelchair was told no shopping because of a disability. I will be getting a hold of lawyer to see if there are discrimination case against my disability.

I really prefer Lowes or Home Depot who both offer a 10% military discount on almost everything every day. Oh yeah, and Lowes and Home Depot arent being investigated by at least two States Attorneys General (MN, WI) for price gouging cleaning supplies, etc. at the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak.

Never buy anything that runs on gas from here! Tried to return a pressure washer. Used it once and the hose broke. They wouldnt exchange it until I took it to a shop in town and they said it was broken. Then I could bring it back. I dont have time for that BS. It was a broken hose, you dont need a mechanic to tell you that. Horrible customer service and return policy.
