Will never again shop online with Kay. over the past year i have purchased a total of 8 products in the last year, starting with some cheaper sterling silver to a more recent diamond necklace and earings (these NOT cheap) but 6, YES I SAID 6 of the 8 products have been broken including that diamond necklace for the wifes birthday. Complete garbage online service and all they say is sorry return and reorder if you still want.
We got engaged on March 11th 2021, we did end up having to get the ring resized. It was sent out for a little over 1 week. I had picked up my ring on a Friday after it was resized with no problems. By Tuesday I realized that a diamond was a missing on the band of my ring. I never worn my ring doing dishes, cleaning, showering or even sleeping at night for the 4 days I had it. There is no reason a diamond should have been missing already from it. The ring was sent back in that Tuesday. 9 days later Kay Jewelers in Mankato called me to say that they are now sending a new ring to replace mine. They stated it will take another estimated two weeks or more until the new one will be back.. Kay Jewelers in Mankato proceed to say that things happen but didn’t offer any discount or anything for the significant period of time it has been gone. The lady on the phone tried to light the situation by saying my brand new ring is like a car and things happen were parts have to be replaced.. it’s literally less than a month old ring 😂
Omg, where do I begin?! Kara has been with us through our whole process starting with just looking back in August of 2018, then the purchase of my engagement ring, wedding bands, anniversary ring, necklace, earrings, and my soon to be husbands wedding band. She always listened to what we were looking for and really helped find what fit us best! I went in set on a solitaire, princess cut, on a white gold band, and we ended up falling in love with an emerald cut center stone with halo, and partial diamond band, I was also set on plain wedding bands to just accent the engagement ring and we ended up deciding the wedding band that went with the ring to begin with looked great but needed a little more so we got two. We love the LEO collection and thats where our wedding bands and engagement ring came from. She is always so kind and informative. She is such a great representation of what Kays stands for; polite, informative, great listener and willing to find what fits you best! Shari and Arron have been amazing in helping us as well, with cleanings and the financial options available. They all are very good at making sure to inform us of the sales coming up.
Kara was a wonderful help! Weve visited other Kay Jewelers before but decided to visit the Mankato location after a few issues with the others. She sat down with my girlfriend and I and pulled options of engagement rings based on what my girlfriend described. She laid out all purchasing options, care details, sale dates, etc. She was amazing and I will definitely be purchasing an engagement ring through her.
Yesterday, I entered the store for the third time to look at wedding bands for my fiance and myself. I was serious about purchasing one specific one for him. I waited for a half an hour and was really excited because the lady that came to help us seemed to be really helpful with the last couple and she seemed really nice. Then when it came time to help me (and my mom) she was awful. She seemed uninterested, distant and rude. It seemed as if she didnt want to help us because I was just a young kid that wasnt serious about buying. I was ready to drop a good amount on the ring that he wanted.Not to mention, my fiance was sized at your store 3 times prior to this and our information was lost yet again. I understand that maybe I should remember, but I had brain surgery. There is not one excuse that can make our information being lost 3 times okay.I will be shopping elsewhere, because this was not the first three times I was disappointed in your store.

What a horrible store! I sent my necklace in to be repaired and it was promised 10/5 and here I am on 10/13 and still no necklace. This is the second time this has happened. I send my ring in and it came back dirtier then before I sent it in and they gave me a different ring back, and how I know is the marks on my ring and the lines of where they were put together. My charms have needed to be replaced 3 times and then they wouldnt refund me I was forced to pick a new one that I know was cheaper then the other, but didnt get any money back. We have spend well over $8000 at this store and this is how we are treated! What a scam of a store! Save your money and go else where!
My Husband and I went in to get some ideas on upgrading my ring. We just didnt feel comfortable and the prices were crazy for the quality so...we left!
Disappointed. Brought jewelry for cleaning and granted I have a lot but from Sat am to Tues and didnt hear from them. We finally drove up. Dont think we will be back.
