When I scheduled my initial appointment with spencer I told him that the stop/start function on my 2016 S60 (75k miles) was not working and that a message briefly appeared that said the support battery was low. I also noted that the TPMS light would intermittently flash. He seemed confident that a new support battery would fix those issues so we scheduled an appointment and ordered the part. Once my car was in the shop Spencer called me an told me that my car could use a coolant flush and alignment in addition to the support battery. I agreed and he called 3 hours later saying the work was done. I picked up my car and paid the $600 bill and drove away thinking my problem was fixed. It was not. The stop/start function does not always activated so it took a day of driving to confirm it still would not work and the next day the TPMS light started flashing intermittently. I called spencer immediately and he explained that he thought the support battery would fix the issues but all he did was install the ordered part. When I made the appointment spencer ordered the support battery because it was LIKELY the problem and he wanted to have it there if that was the case. I was led tp believe they were diagnosing the issue first and if it was determined it was the support battery they would change it. Turns out they just installed it so they could move on to selling me addition services. After telling all of this to spencer he told me I would have to make another appointment and pay an additional $150 for a diagnosis to determine the actual problem. I cant believe Volvo certified Techs would install parts on a car, at the customers cost without any diagnosis. This kind of fraudulent and lazy behavior is what I expect out of backyard mechanics, not Volvo Certified Service Centers.

I bought a wholesale unit from MMG from the back lot when I arrive there the tire was completely down to the rim. I wasnt expecting much because I bought it as is as it was a dealer wholesale trade but I called the service department Spencer acted extremely quickly and prompt. Got the tire fixed no charge on the road I go. Please give this man a pat-on-the-back he is a exceptional individual and gives The rare breed of a service advisor a very high grade in my book. We live out in the country so we are used to driving a lot, and I don’t mind driving a little further for great service. I got my Volvo from Dublin but MMG is closer. I set up an appointment to get a software update. It was late in the afternoon, and I had my two teens with me. I was met by Dave who was a breath of fresh air to deal with all around. He smiled, and was happy—unfortunately, I’ve not seen that in a while. He was genuinely interested in my concerns, and explained how he can go about fixing and even offered a free car wash with a wipe down. For late in the evening, he was in a great mood and I can tell he genuinely loves what he does. I asked how long it will be b/c I had hungry teens with me, to which he offered Bill’s services. Bill came around with a courtesy vehicle and said he can take us anywhere we want while we wait and then just give him a call and he’ll pick us up. I expected us to get into a “used” vehicle thinking they prob cart a lot of people around but no, I got in a clean, comfortable and state of the art van—there wasn’t even a smudge on the window. I was so impressed by Bill. He was friendly, professional and very courteous. Took us to dinner and then gave me his cell to call and get picked up afterwards. Afterwards, we sat in the waiting room and chatted some more. While in there, Dave popped in and kept me updated on the status of my vehicle several times and gave me the greatest gift of letting me know I’m not going to incur costs because it’s all still covered under warranty—he was just as happy as I was. I didn’t feel like I was at a dealership, I felt valued and taken care of. My first thought was, I have driven so far to get really great service—never realizing how close it was to me all along. After my vehicle got done, Dave had me check things out. I wasn’t sure about a couple things so he grabbed Heather who knew all about it. She worked with us until way after closing to try and resolve a couple issues—I felt horrible about keeping her so long but she never sounded annoyed or irritated with us. Dave kept checking back and making sure things were moving forward. Overall, the team was phenomenal. I can tell this is the place I want to come for all my service needs and when it’s time to purchase our next family vehicle. I want to thank MMG for hiring individuals like Dave, Bill and Heather who love what they do and go out of their way to deliver exceptional service to every customer they interact with. Thank you, I would drive 2 hours to receive service like this, so glad I don’t have to. Sincerely, Ida S.... a customer for life.
