Ulta is my go-to beauty store. They have a very wide range of products for almost any bath/beauty need/want. Their point system is great and their employees are always so helpful! I wish they would give out more discount codes, however. Great salon services as well! I only gave 4 stars because sometimes it can be hard to find items in the store because of how theyre arranged

Such a clean store love it here. Got shade match by one of the beauty consultant ayaantu, she was very patient with me and so sweet to my kids she definitely knew what she was doing. I went into Ulta at the Maple Grove location to go get my brows done at the Benefit Bar. I wanted to get a wax and tint. Lisa was the one who did my brows and told me she had 4 years of experience. I have never felt so self conscious about myself after this appointment. They let me leave the store with my brows looking like that. If I am paying for a service with tip, I expect to be happy with the results. I am super unhappy and will never attend this location ever again and I DO NOT RECOMMEND LISA FROM THE BENEFIT BAR.

If I could rate my experience a 10/10 I would. I don’t usually leave reviews for stores but I’m still thinking about the awesome experience I had yesterday after my new skin care routine this morning. I can’t remember their name but, I walked into ulta with my brother yesterday to get some must needed help on finding good skin care products. The manager on duty yesterday 9/18 at around 6:30-7 is a PRIZE y’all. So knowledgeable and genuinely enthusiastic about teaching us everything. Had recommendations on every trouble spot we brought up and was so NICE. I feel like sometimes it’s intimidating walking into these beauty stores but I left a major ulta fan (after being a Sephora lover for years) Give that beaut a raise because they deserve it!

I am giving this place five stars because my wife likes it a lot. It is not very pleasant for me as a guy. The place absolutely reeks of perfume and other product smells. However, I do have to appreciate how amazingly beautiful it is. Everything is in lit shelves. The place feels very open even though the aisles are very crowded and narrow. The number of choices here are overwhelming. Pricewise, I could not tell you if this place is reasonable – it seems extremely expensive. If you are a guy, avoid this place. If you are like my wife with a lot of money, you have found a paradise.

Great store and nicely organized. The fragrance selection is not as large as other Ultas, but the stock of most other items was as expected.

Had an appointment for brows at the benefit brow bar, I normally go to Blaine ulta with Taylor who I love and highly recommended but I couldn’t make it over there today so I thought I would try this one. Ended up leaving and going to a different wax place (who knows about and is fine waxing me on my meds) since the worker refused to wax my brows because of a medication I am on even though with a simple google search it is stated that the medication does not cause any issues with waxing. Never going back here.

I went to this location to find some new products and i had an amazing experience with Levi! He was so eager to help out and show me everything I wanted/needed. He was very thorough, friendly and very knowledgeable about all of the products Ulta sells. This man needs a raise! Haha, I will definitely be going to this location again!

I didn’t get her name, but the employee who was working around 1pm today (1/28) was AMAZING and went above and beyond. She helped me find tanning products that work well for my sensitive and acne prone skin and was super friendly. Definitely will be back.

Today I had the strangest Ulta experience. I came in to return an item and did a little shopping afterwards. As my sister and I were shopping, I noticed an older women around her 50-60’s with a mid pixie cut, grayish hair, walking back and forth by the aisle I was at. Turns out the lady was an employee, even though she didn’t look like one. As I was standing at the skin care aisle debating on what I should get, I noticed she came in to the same aisle, and pretended like she was looking at some products, but really...she was eyeing me. I was minding my own business, still deciding on what product to get when the employee came up and asked if I needed any help. I told her I didn’t need help. I didn’t think anything of it though because that’s what an employee should be doing, right? Things just got weird after this. The employee left, but I kept having a feeling she was suspicious of something, as if she thought my sister and I were planning on stealing. Girl, I don’t know if I stood there too long deciding on a face mask and maybe that made her think I was suspicious. I’m just indecisive, geez! Let a women make the right decision on a face mask..Jesus Christ. Anyways, after the employee left, my sister and I were just browsing. We headed towards the other skin care products by the middle of the floor, and I kid you not; I saw the employee AGAIN eyeing us and trying her best to be near us. She didn’t care about the other customers. We were like her bait or something.. creeeepy. I was talking to my sister about a cleanser, and the next thing you know the same employee pops out of no where again and asked “what’s your skin type?” Girrrrlfriend, how did she even know what my sister and I were talking about. She probably eavesdropped her way AROUND us because she was literally circling us. Also, she was not very friendly by the way she spoke to my sister and I. I didn’t answer her when she asked for our skin type, but my sister did. She ended up helping my sister find a certain brand. We ended up paying for our things. Now this is the creepy part. As I exited out from the parking lot, tell me WHY I SAW THE SAME EMPLOYEE LADY STANDING BY THE BIG ULTA WINDOW WATCHING ME AS I DROVE OFF. I have never seen this happen before. She was literally right by the big posters hanging by the windows. She’s really that suspicious of us that she needed to watch us leave and I don’t know how long she’s been watching us. Can a women just shop in peace. Not sure if it’s the fact that my sister and I look like some naive teenagers thieves, even though we’re in our mid 20’s or the fact that I’m a person of color, but I’m not even gonna go there.

Went there on Friday for brow tinting and waxing, the lady doing my eyebrows told me it would last 3-4weeks. On Saturday it was faded and today it’s completely gone. Total waste of money. I should have used the money on a good brow pencil

I have mostly enjoyed coming to this location except today. I was just there at 7pm to pick up an online order and the store door was already locked. There was another customer waiting and we both showed the associate who finally came to the door that Google and their app showed store hours as 8pm for a Monday and that we checked before coming over. She just repeated over and over again, we are closed without an apology or any regard to what we were saying. There was no initiative by her to say we will try and get it fixed online that it’s showing incorrect hours or offer to even let us into the store. A sincere apology for our inconvenience or to ask if she could help with what we came for would have gone a long way. I understand with the pandemic things are constantly changing, but communication is key. I would recommend customers to call and check for closing hours so you don’t waste time.

AMAZING service today!! They were out of the product I wanted (The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid) and Bari-in not sure how to spell it-helped me order it to my house with free shipping. I didnt know that was an option. She was so genuinely nice and helpful. Will be back soon!! Thank you😊

I really wish there was a closer ulta around because the employees here a RUDE as hell and very unhelpful. Every time I go inside I feel extremely uncomfortable and unwelcomed. I am never properly helped and am always being suggested some backwatered item. One particular associate (can’t remember her name) rudely suggested “I wash my face with their new promotion whatever all natural brand” when I had asked her to help me find a brow product. I was honestly just appalled by the comment and walked away while she continued to chat away with her coworker. So disappointing.

They have everything you need. Numerous staff to help out. I am allergic to makeup and even hypoallergenic makeups. I love that I can sample some makeup to see if I can tolerate it. They have such a huge variety, and the staff are always willing to help make suggestions and I know exactly what will look good on you how to apply it and what made work better then some other makeups. Prices are great.

I had a great experience at the salon today! I had to bring my toddler along and a friend and everyone was super nice to my son (even while he was grabbing everything in sight) they let us order food because we were hungry while I was getting a 3 hour service done to my hair. My stylist was very nice, respectful and she knew I had to work right after and kept that in mind! It meant a lot that they were so nice to my kid and friend, I’m a single mom so I don’t really have a choice sometimes on bringing the kid or not! And by the way, my hair looks great! This ulta is beautiful and very well stocked. I was turned off to Ulta for awhile due to poor customer service and a dirty store (another location) but even on a busy night staff was still friendly and line when fast. Ill definitely be back

Wide spread of products for men and women, knowledgeable employees. Can be a challenge to locate an employee among everyone wearing black, look for the walkie talkies on their hips.

My wife just came home from a haircut, done by Taylor. She was rough when she combed my wife’s hair. My wife’s hair is lightly wavy and thick (she’s Caucasian).Taylor did not follow instructions and displayed irritation towards my wife. For a detailed explanation, keep on reading.My wife brought in a picture to show her what she wanted. In fact she wanted it shorter than the picture. She came in with long hair (longer than shoulder length). Taylor advised her not to cut it that short (jaw length) because it would get puffy and it would shrink after it dries. My wife is fully aware of that and insisted. Not listening, Taylor told her that she would first cut it at her recommended length, but she would cut it shorter if my wife wanted it. Well, my wife, not wanting to be pushy, agreed. After Taylor had cut it, my wife looked at it and asked her to cut it shorter, like how she originally requested. Taylor became irritated.

ULTA in Maple Grove is a very nice store. Its clean and organized. Customer service is always good. But today it was exceptionally good! An employee named ASHLEY was great! She loves her work and was very helpful in finding the right products for my skin care. Shes very caring, gracious and beautiful! She had me leaving with a smile.

I really like the store itself, the selection is great, the place is clean. However, every single time I go in there its like a sorority meeting in the middle of the store and the staff cant be bothered. If you do you ask them a question they act surprised. Whereas, the store in St. Louis Park, not the best selection but the staff is really good.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The store can get pretty busy, so sometimes you will have to wait if you need help. The Maple Grove store is my favorite Ulta to go to.

Great place to buy make up! You can choose from Drug store makeup or higher end. The only complaint will Be the staff They always seem to Be stuck up. As much as I shopped there NO one Greets 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

I went in looking for wedding makeup, specifically Georgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation, which they didn’t have, but the experience was so great. Two staff answered my questions about the foundation when I came in and then recommended Lancôme as a similar product and connected me with Diana (I believe her name was) to help me color match. Diana was AMAZING. She worked with me for about an hour, matched my foundation, helped me find concealer, contour, blush, and an eyebrow pencil. She listened and changed things when I didn’t love them. She was so fantastic and I was so happy when I left. I bought the concealer and contour and I will be back for the foundation. THANK YOU!

I love coming to the Ulta in Maple Grove. The store is clean, has what Im looking for, and things Im not, and helpful staff. Victoria was very helpful, and patient, while I was checking out today and trying to find my coupon offer on my phone - thank you for great customer service.

Always clean and with friendly staff. its a great place to go if you need that certain beauty product that you may or may not find at a salon or store that only has a beauty section. The parking at this location isnt that great. The lines are perpetually long no matter the day or season.

Was there for 35 minutes and not one staff member spoke to us. Bought something to the register that rang up at twice the price. Told them thats fine, the price seemed to good to be true anyway, but that theres a whole display of the item by a printed sign saying theyre the lower price. Didnt seem to care about moving the display so it didnt happen to someone else. Tried asking what the free gift I would get if I spent .02 more on a particular brand and they looked at me like I was dumb. Why doesnt the staff know the sales or have a cheat sheet if there are too many to keep track of?

My grandma has been asking for a new lipstick. We went in, and no one really offered to help as they were busy. But we were lucky to have Lindsey (I believe thats what her name was) at the brow bar, available. She helped us find the right color and brand, and even took out a whole shelf to find one for us. Very very thankful!!

My girlfriend and I visited Ulta for a quick visit and were really Wowed by Ashley whom was just fantastic with helping us with our needs and questions. Found many items on my list of needs

Ive been to this location on several occasions and have found what I was looking for without any difficulty.Today I went in to purchase several items. An employee helped me find my first item and that was fine. I then asked to speak to a stylist to get an opinion about my Granddaughters hair. I explained to the stylist that I thought it would be good for her hair to be trimmed as it gets easily tangled on the ends but that I was not a professional so I was seeking some advice. I would then relay the advice to her parents who would ultimately make the decision to cut it or not. She immediately started talking about conditioners, which wasnt my question at all. She then told me she wouldnt be able to cut my Granddaughters hair since I wasnt her parent. Huh? I reminded her that I was just looking for advice. There were other employees standing there so perhaps she was using my question as a teaching moment for them (or me). Not sure which. She was very condescending.We also used the bathroom while we were there. The first thing my 4 year old Granddaughter said when we went in was how bad it smelled. The floor in the stall was dirty and looked like it hadnt been cleaned in quite a while.Sadly, this location is close to me but I will be more likely to use a different location next time.Dissapointing.

Couldn’t get one person to help me find an item. When I went up to ring Carly was nice but wanted an email or phone number and I told her I would pass, she informed me that I couldn’t make ANY returns unless I was a member and had an email address. I asked her why and she said it’s part of loss prevention, so then what’s the point of an original receipt? She didn’t give me a bag for my item so I had to ask for one.Here is Ulta’s return policy PRINTED on the back of their receipts: Returns are easy! No need to have your original printed receipt when you make a return if you used your Ultimate Rewards membership number on your purchase. If you are not a member or did not use your membership number, YOUR ORIGINAL RECEIPT IS REQUIRED.Carly needs to stop lying to customers so that people can sign-up for a membership.

Every time I shop here I have a good experience. Employees will smile or say hello, and sometimes stop me and ask if I need help. (Not always as this is a busy location.) Even with 5 minutes to close, they are STILL happy, and willing to go the extra mile to make your last impression memorable. Im not related to any employees or have any affiliations with ULTA. I just really appreciate their customer service.

I love going to ulta and usually have a very pleasant experience except at this location. The past few times I’ve gone in the employees have been rude, unhelpful and continuously stand around talking to each other. I thought I would give this location another try so I went in today and nothing has changed. 5 employees huddled together talking, while none of them even attempted to move out of the way when I tried to squeeze by to get to a product I wanted to buy. No one smiles either, they all just glare at you which is wildly uncomfortable. I didn’t even end up buying anything and just left and ended up going to the coon rapids location. Won’t be back!

I recently moved here from Texas. FOUND AN AMAZING STYLIST! Her name is Alisha. If you are a guy or girl, looking for a great haircut, I highly recommend her. She knows her stuff and fits the style to your tastes. ;)

There was an old rude lady working at the salon section, we were trying to wash our hand and couldn’t find a towel afterwards, she started yelling at us to use the bathroom instead. Sounds like we are kids and don’t belong there. It was absolutely the worst experience ever.

Good selection, but the staff dont seem trained in customer service at all. I told the cashier 4 times that I didnt want to give my phone number (they already have my email, why do you need my phone number? I get enough spam calls already) and she WOULD NOT let me decline! She acted like I was making a scene but once should be enough.

The Maple Grove ULTA is fine. Good describe of merchandise is the plus. Nothing special when it comes to other measures. Today no one even asked what i was looking for. Checkout person was all business.

My cousins and I walked in and was greeted. But what made me give them 2 stars was when my cousins and I were walking around they had at least two employees following us around the store. Which was weird, they were rude and kept asking if we needed help or if we needed something. Constantly everytime we walked to a different aisle. Until I went to go purchased something and told them I work at a different ulta and their attitude changed quickly.

This store is great if you know what youre looking for. If not, the amount of products can be overwhelming. The make up (and cmon thats why were going there) is divided into fancy shmancy, higher cost products (IT Cosmetics, Estee Lauder, Lancome) and drug store brands like Maybelline and NYX. Theyre on opposite sides of the store and pretty knowledgeable salespeople work with the higher priced products. It can be tricky If you need help with the lower priced makeup since the store is usually packed.Pros:Variety, helpful sales staff (higher priced)Cons: The drug store stuff is out of stock and its hard to find someone to answer your questions.

One of the better ULTA stores Ive been to. The parking area sucks but thats true for the whole arbor lakes mall. The staff is friendly and helpful. They also remodeled and got some new lines like MAC.

Honestly disappointing how unwilling the staff was to help. They just keep directing you to go to the app. Like aren’t you supposed to know what to do?

I went here this morning looking for a new Foundation. I was not greeted by any employees or was offered any assistance. After about 10 minutes I asked an older woman for some help and told her what I was looking for. She was not helpful at all and did not give any suggestions on product. Overall experience wasnt good, I put a couple products back on the shelf and will not be coming back due to lack of customer service.

I was expecting this to be more like a Sephora, with more high-end product. Nope, they basically have a huge assortment of drugstore makeup and have a few mid range brands such as Benefit and Nars (although their Nars selection was limited to some lipsticks, blushes, and highlighters, the rest they didnt really have).I was fortunate enough to find Timmy who was the artist for Nars that day, he was very knowledgeable and helpful. I was able to find a few products that I needed with his help. Timmy is worth 5 stars, but he just didnt have the products he needed at his fingertips to showcase his talents.

Ok, so I visited the Maple Grove Ulta today, black Friday of all days! And it was not a bad experience at all! Yes it was crazy busy & yes the line was long. But man I received great help that I didnt expect to actually need but I sure did. I didnt personally see or interact with a rude or flustered employee, not once. & the girl that checked me out was crackin jokes and in a great attitude! Great visit!

Everything is organized neatly, and the employees are friendly but not overbearingly so. Overall, a very nice Ulta. :) They have a good clearance rack too!
