Just moved to the area and glad to have (or so I thought) a lumber yard near me.My first order was a call-in with delivery in March of this year. The delivery was okay, but the wood was subpar. The widths were non-consistent, often off by 1/4 of an inch or more. There were a lot of knots and bad spots in the wood once I got to working with it.My second time in to buy wood I was looking for 2x2 PT. They didnt have any in stock. I ended up having to go with something else.This last time I bought 2x4x12 PT. The loader had to pick through some of the most badly-twisted lumber I have seen to get me six of the straightest boards they had. After a couple of days drying out, the wood was completely unusable. One board had twisted 90 degrees across its length and the others where nowhere near straight or without a dogleg. I bought this wood for a hand rails and needed something at least semi-straight. I ended up buying my lumber at a national chain.On top of this, the customer service is marginally good, but I wouldnt say stellar.I will not be buying any more from TRM in the future.

This is the worst small business experience I have had. I placed a large order to support local business but what I got was: I’ll informed employees, overpriced material and a headache trying to resolve the issue with them. All I would say is do your research into other lumber yards unless you like working with those that refuse to inform themselves about the products that they offer.

Pro: it is easy to talk to a real person and ask questions and they also can do special ordersCon: there kiln dried Lumber might have well been dried in a swamp, it is soaking wet. Thats not just for the lumber I was looking for but almost everything but plywood.It is sad that The orange stores lumber is in better shape. Traditionally a lumberyard will supply a better product at a more competitive price then box stores or neighborhood hardware stores but TRM has suffered over the last few years. I would hope they would turn up the quality so I dont have to make a further drive for simple Lumber.
