We are a family of 8 and have gone to the Wedding Connection since the kids were flower girls & ring bearers, and now prom dresses, tuxes, and their wedding dresses! Just had the most amazing day with the owner Meg and her staff who went out of their way to make this occasion memorable! I have recommended this shop to everyone in need of formal attire!

I live in Minneapolis, but went to The Wedding Connection in Maplewood because of its good reviews. I was not disappointed! Everyone in the shop is so helpful and caring toward every single person who walks through their doors. Hayley showed me a few dresses based on what I was looking at online, and she let me pull some as well. I was very honest about each dress I tried on, and while some may have found my commentary harsh, she listened to what I had to say and used it to find a dress I loved. I took some time to process my dress shopping and visited another shop in the meantime. The other shop was so pushy and, at one point, stopped listening to what I wanted and just started shoving dresses at me. They obviously wanted to make a sale, whereas The Wedding Connection wanted to help me make the best choice, even if it meant I got my dress elsewhere.The Wedding Connection stands out from the other bridal salons I visited because they actually cared about my experience. They didn’t stop caring once I bought the dress either. I had them store my dress and used their seamstress, which was very convenient. Every time I visited the store, it was like seeing old friends. This shop made a potentially stressful part of wedding planning really fun. I highly recommend The Wedding Connection for any bride.

I had a Sunday appointment with Marissa hoping to find a Mothers dress. Marissa did exceptional at making my appointment a great experience. I found a beautiful dress and it was at a very reasonable price. Great customer service and would recommend this store and Marissa to any future brides and bridesmaids.

After hearing awesome reviews from friends I decided to book an appointment with The Wedding Connection. Because I was a little nervous I may not find I dress that I loved I also booked another appointment later in the day just in case. The good news was I didnt have to drag my entourage to another store because my bridal consultant Marissa was amazing! Between my friends and family we had several dresses to try on. Once Marissa saw what style I was going for she gave me a couple to try on as well and it took me less than 5 dresses to pick the perfect dress. She listened to me and was very aware that I was trying to find a dress that fit my body style well. She was full of ideas and tips and just made the overall experience so fabulous! She was very helpful when it came to bridesmaids dresses and helped me listen and find a dress that really worked for all the girls. I highly recommend her. Cant wait to work get my dress and work with The Wedding Connection for all my future needs!! You guys are awesome!

What a fantastic place! The minute you walk in you are greeted with a smile and a warm welcome. The employees are happy you are there and are very personable. After discussing with them what I was looking for in a wedding dress they helped pull a few but also let my family pick out a couple as well. Although they are not a huge store they have a wide selection of styles and designers to choose from. I found and purchased my dress from them and would highly recommend this dress shop to anyone else.

I worked with Meg (the owner), Haley, and Marissa when looking for my wedding dress and they were all amazing! From the second I walked in the door I felt welcomed and comfortable. I explained what I was looking for in my dress and Meg had a lot of knowledge and pulled dresses that matched exactly what I had described! The Wedding Connection in White Bear was my first and only stop while looking for not only the perfect wedding dress but my bridesmaids dresses as well. Meg welcomed myself and ten others into the boutique. We all had an incredible experience from the second we walked in the door. She truly listened to what I did and did not want, I never once felt pressured! The boutique is beautifully decorated and calming. There is a lovely unique selection of wedding dresses. Everything from a fairytale princess to the country lace I was looking for. The Wedding Connection is the perfect place to shop for wedding dresses. Megs shop is personal, intimate, and so much fun! All of the staff are very personable and wonderful to work with! I would highly recommend this boutique to anyone!

The staff was so attentive. If there was any preference or need on our part, they went out of their way to find what we wanted. At the same time, they let us have our space and our moments together. My friend got her dress there, and we went back for bridesmaids dresses. I would recommend for anyone looking for a relaxed and friendly experience.

I purchased my wedding dress from The Wedding Connection for our June, 2015 wedding. Meg and the rest of the crew were absolutely amazing! The time and emotions that were put into my shopping day made it so special for us. Not only did we get my wedding gown there, but we purchased all bridesmaids dresses and both flower girl dresses there, as well. We had alterations done through The Wedding Connection and their recommended seamstresses were fantastic. I could not have asked for a better experience with Meg at The Wedding Connection. Every detail was absolutely perfect! Without a doubt, they have my highest recommendation!

They succeeded my expectations. My sister was informed her dress was not coming in as the designer of her dress is going out of business. With her being out of state we were under the gun to find her another bridesmaids dress before she left this past weekend. Taking all day Friday to dress shop we decided to take one last shot an came to the Wedding Connection.Now I wish it was our first stop as it took us a less than an hour to find the perfect dress. They were very understanding of our situation and wanted to help out anyway they could and they did more than that. Not only did we find the perfect dress, she needed alternations and the lady that does the alternations happen to be there and pinned her for the alternations on the spot. I received a call informing me the alternations were done today and the dress looks GREAT!I wish I would have came here to purchase my dress. I would recommend anyone looking for wedding dress or prom to stop here as they exceeded my expectations.

Right when I walked in, the two gals gave me the weirdest stare. I asked right away if an appointment is needed to check out bridesmaids dresses; I simply wanted to just check out their bridesmaid dresses, just to get a feel of what color/designs/pricing they had. One of the gals rudely asked what the occasion was and when it was. I advised it was for my sisters wedding in June. She then states that designer dresses take up to 4-6 months to order ...and so pretty much Im out of luck with the dresses on the racks? I wasnt so shocked about dresses needing that much time to be ordered, but how this gal said it was just rude and unpleasant. The gal then points to the clearance/sale rack and says those dresses might work out better for me if i want to purchase them same day... and here i am still standing by the door, she giggles a little too her coworker and asks me to take off my shoes before walking around the store. i was very well aware of the Please take off your shoes sign on the door BTW. I took off my shoes and walked right towards the designer dresses just you check a few dresses, neither one of them bothered to come see how I was doing (kinda glad they didnt since it was so unpleasant already). I browsed for no longer then 10 min and walked back towards the entrance to grab my shoes. Walked right out as both of them were still standing by the reception desk and yup.... not a single have a great day was given. Have some common decency please! They act as if just looking around the store is gonna cause them so much work! No one should have to feel unpleasant just to check a store out.

I loved my experience here! From the first time picking out my dress with Nicole to going back twice and trying it on for my sister and my dad.The owner is so nice and all the staff.Great selection of dresses and accessories. They also have a seamstress that works there and also can store your dress for you and steam it for your big day!

I have bought many dresses from Meg! From prom dresses to bridesmaid dresses and this year I finally get to shop for my own wedding dress! Meg and her girls are always very welcoming and make you feel comfortable. The staff was very knowledgeable and able to help with anything I needed! For all of us that work in the wedding industry there are always two sides to a story. There is something to be said about customer service-the customer is always right. With that being said, as a bridal consultant we work with a lot of brides that are going through a lot of emotions and end up taking it out on us. They only see their side and forget that we are also human. We take pride in making your experience one to remember. As a bride, you may think that this may be an easy job. As a bridal consultant it takes knowledge, patience, kindness and mutual respect from one another. Please take this review into consideration before making your next appointment anywhere.

I’ve been here twice now and both times my experience was awful. I only came back a second time because they had the bridesmaids dresses I wanted to check out. The staff is rude and very unfriendly. I went to over 7 shops trying to find my perfect wedding dress and every bridal shop was a 1000 times more friendly than this one. I was so incredibly disappointed. I wish I had gone literally anywhere else, even David’s bridal. This is the worst bridal shop ever. Just don’t go here, it’s not worth it.

I had a wonderful experience at the Wedding Connection! Marissa was my attendant and she was very helpful, knowledgable, patient, and fun! The store is smaller but cozy and they use their space well. They have a nice selection and good prices. And on top of all that...I found my dress which I still love to this day a year later!

I didnt end up purchasing a dress from here because the bride found a style she preferred more online. However in terms of variety and service this was the best place I visited out of the five places I went to try on MOH dresses. In comparison to the Wedding Shoppe, Davids Bridal, and a few others the staff here was the best!

I had an appointment here today, and it was a great experience. I called pretty last minute, as it was my first time trying on bridal gowns, and silly me didnt realize pretty much everywhere requires you to make an appointment to guarantee a dressing room. The store sounded busy when I called, and they were booked for the day, but said they could squeeze me in. I arrived a few minutes early, and was greeted immediately by 2 friendly staff at the entrance. I filled out some info, and they took me back and let me to pick out a few I wanted to try on. Once my consultant got a feel for what kind of dress I wanted, she pulled a few for me, and since it was my first time trying stuff on, she pulled a few in other styles so I could get a better feel for what I liked on me. All the time being very friendly and informative, and giving us lots of information on things to help us get the right style, and narrow it down. They may have fit me in on a busy Saturday, but they never made it seem like an inconvenience, and they did not rush me at all.Overall, this was a great experience, with wonderful, helpful staff, and I would recommend it to everyone.

The only positive note I will give this store is Cathy, she was so very helpful to me and every experience I had with her was great. She truly knew how to treat a customer! On the other hand, the owner Meg made the whole experience a negative one. I purchased my bridal gown and 5 bridesmaid dresses thru her store. All of the bridesmaid dresses had to be returned and one of them even a third time. My bridesmaid was told my an employee that her account would be credited after having to return it the third time. When she went in to pick it up, the owner Meg told her that they would never do that and that I told her we just wanted the dresses. This conversation between Meg and myself never even took place. She lied and was extremely rude to my bridesmaid. She never once offered to take any money of the other dresses after all the girls had to make multiple trips to her store to try on the dresses over and over again. I was very disappointed in how she treated people and how she runs her store. I will never recommend her store to anyone

I guess my experience is what I get when I dont read reviews before going somewhere. One star is being kind. We used the phrases a nightmare and the Walmart of dress shopping. That should give you a pretty good visual.I NEVER leave bad reviews but this place warrants one.

Bought the 2nd wedding dress I tried on. Bailey was awesome! I plan on bringing my bridesmaids and groomsmen there in a few months!

What a GREAT experience! I bought my wedding dress and all of my bridesmaid dresses here. Meg was so awesome in helping me fine exactly what I wanted for me and all my girls. They had the color I was looking, which I was having a hard time finding anywhere else. Meg didnt rush me and helped me find the perfect dress and I tried on ALOT of dresses. She was very knowledgeable and helpful with everything I needed. Thank you so much for making what I thought was going to be a stressful ordeal into something very enjoyable. I would recommend Meg and her store to everyone.

I went to the Wedding Connection as a last resort to buy a dress for a Military Christmas party. I had ordered a dress and it has not arrived on time. I walked in and Nikki was my life saver! She went above and beyond to help me out. She brough in dresses, looked high and low and was able to find the perfect dress! She and another worker were able to help me find a store that carried jewlery that was stunning and reasonably priced. My boyfriend was pleased with the dress and stated I was the classiest dressed women at the party. the compliments on the dress were well deserved as it was stunning! thank you for making my night more then memorable!

I LOVE their dresses. This is the only store that we could find SPARKLE! So if that is what you are looking for-this is your store. The staff was fine-but dont expect anything exceptional. Also be careful on the promises they make. I had to check on what color I wanted to order my dress in and wasnt able to come back in until the next day but they still promised to give me the 10% discount. However when I came back the next day they stated that they could no longer accommodate that deal. When push came to shove I did end up getting it-but just be aware and make sure you get things in writing from them.

I believe I had a Kathleen or Cathy for my consultant and she was so extremely patient with me. I was absolutely clueless on what I wanted and this was my first of three appts so I was in no rush. Well, I ended up loving the last dress I tried on and didnt even wanna take it off! My consultant helped me narrow my search down and it was so below my budget that I ended up getting all my accessories and veil here as well. This place is a true hidden gem with lovely staff and stunning designer dresses that wont break the bank. My mom and I had a great experience, and still cant believe I found my dress on my first shopping appt. I cant wait to wear it in 6mths!

BY FAR THE WORST EXPERIENCE.I went to the Wedding Connection to look at prom dresses. When I walked in the woman that was helping me was extremely rude and inconsiderate. She treated me as if I had no interest in buying a dress that day and that she was wasting her time. She made several offensive rude remarks to me and gave her unwanted opinions. If it wasnt for the gorgeous dress that I did find there, I would have walked right out. My dates tux took forever to come in and my dress alterations as well. HORRIBLE experience, DONT waste your time here, It is a unwanted stressful experience

Did not enjoy the facility at all, my fiance walked in just looking to get a feel for wedding dresses, etc. And was treated extremely rudely. It was 10:15 and she wasnt allowed to try anything on because there was an 11:00 appointment..? Also, the woman walked around and asked us many questions but did not kindly offer any answers. Overall, it was a disappointing experience where we left feeling dejected and hopeless.

Worst possible customer service experience I have ever had when dealing with any purchases. I stopped in to purchase a single dress for a wedding. It was marked up $50 for shipping and another $50 any size above a 12. I went to the Wedding Shoppe on Grand the same day. Same designers, no extra for shipping and no extra for any size varation. My purchase would have been an easy one, I was ready to buy it and I didnt need to try it on but from the minute I walked in the door the woman behind the counter was rude, short with me and irritated that I was even in the store. I would ABSOLUTELY NEVER EVER reccomend this place. It is not the wedding experience.

I found a beautiful dress and a fantastic price!

I went in yesterday to pick up my fiancé’s maid of honors dress to take some stuff off her plate. I got home and my fiancé says they must have grabbed the wrong one because that’s not the color they ordered. I went back in to get the dress swapped out and it turns out my fiancé and her maid of honor were given the wrong color palette for the brand they ordered and thus got the wrong color. The lady at the desk couldn’t do anything so I went there this morning to talk with the owner and she was willing to allow us to order a new dress at the rate they purchase the dress at, but we would have to pay $70 to get the dress shipped here in time for our wedding, the cost of the dress, and we won’t get the $240 back for the dress with the incorrect color because they are not willing to take a financial hit because we were given the incorrect information. We are trying to move our finances around to make this happen so we at least have a dress that’s matches our wedding colors.. The point is... There are a lot of places to buy dresses in the area at the same cost, I would recommend checking those ones out before deciding to purchase here.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER I LEFT CRYING!!! I made an appointment for a Tuesday morning to look at bridesmaids dresses with my mom. Upon arrival a morbidly obese woman greeted me very impolitely. After sitting down for a minute and letting her know that my wedding is about a year from now, she said, “I wouldn’t pick out a bridesmaid dress until next year’s styles are out.” My jaw almost hit the floor, because this is one of the first things she said to me after her “oh so kind” greeting and asking a few questions, I wanted to turn and leave right then. Why would you say that to someone who made an appointment and gave you all the information ahead of time; wouldn’t she have told me that over the phone? I ignored her and my mother and I continued to pull several dresses off the rack to try on; as we were doing so the same lady was sitting in her chair across the salon yelling information about the dresses to my mother and me instead of interacting and helping us find what we were looking for. I went there with a specific dress by a specific designer in my mind (which they carry) and my mom asked her THREE times for the price of the dress I have been very interested in. Instead of actually getting out of her chair to look she just continuously kept saying, “They are all relatively the same price no matter where you go.” She finally threw out a rough estimate that was $30 more than the previous place I had found the dress. She kept cutting us off, interrupting my mother and I while decision making, by yelling across the room. She had an excuse and an opinion for everything, and I lost it when she said I had picked out enough dresses (about 10 to try on), and there was no one else in the store. After this rude remark, my mother and I left the dresses hanging in the fitting room and walked out of the store. She was very offensive and inconsiderate and provided absolutely no customer service. I will NEVER go back and I would NEVER recommend going here. I was very disappointed with my service here also because it was recommended to me by someone in my bridal party that knows someone who works there, and said we would receive a discount and when we got there and told the lady that was supposedly “helping us” about knowing an employee, she pretended as if she didn’t even know that person. I have been bridesmaid’s dress shopping at about 10 different places so far, and everywhere else wasn’t absolutely great customer service, but I didn’t leave the store crying because the saleswoman didn’t want to get out of her chair or shut her mouth. Angelique’s in Blaine has outstanding customer service and all of their employees are genuinely interested in listening to the bride and what she wants. I haven’t purchased anything from there but I did stop in there once to try on bridal gowns and twice to try on bridesmaid’s dresses without an appointment. They were without a doubt the most helpful, respectful, and most customer service friendly place I have gone to look. I would recommend Angelique’s to anyone that wants to have an enjoyable experience.

Everything about this place is rediculous! Priced way too high. Shipping is extra and takes months to get unless you pay an extra $50 to get it in 2 months. Alterations are extra and your responsibility to get done yourself. Ive been in more weddings than I would like to admit, and NEVER had so much BS.
