9/14/21 around 10:00 a.m. Hwy 36 & 61 St Paul . First went to garden area the 3 gentleman behind counter were very helpful & directed us to the paint department regarding sealant to leaking basement walls. In paint area, Allison helped us get the right product & was so helpful. Very knowledgeable of their products. Kudos to you Allison, Menards on 36 & 61 St Paul should be very proud of you as a great employee. 👏

I got excellent help fulfilling a called in order from pick up service when I arrived early for order.

Wow this store is a dump. Ive been to a lot of Menards, but this one is easily the worst. Weird arrangement, hard to find stuff, hard to get around with a cart.

I had a very large order and had to place the order in the Oakdale store. They originally did not want to take the order, but they finally did. I was told all the items were there except 10 brackets.I went to the Maplewood store for those 10. Went home and waited for a call for the rest of my order. They called to say the order was ready except they are short two items. I was put on hold, hung up on, then told to go to Maplewood for the two missing items. I was not offered a discount for my inconvenience.Brittany, should not be manager of the Oakdale order pick up department, no customer service. Just go to the Maplewood store, they have what you need in stock, and they have good customer service!!!

Has everything you need laid out in a different way than the rest.

Smaller selection then the larger menards but it has your basic home owner selection of tools, materials, and knik nacks.

Great customer service me and my friend are both underage and they let us buy multiple machetes on several different occasions we have like 5 now

This Menards location never fails to disappoint. Just an unorganized mess. Every once in a while I’ll go there to get something and am reminded why I always go out of my way to avoid this particular store.

Confusing online purchase and pickup situation. Bought and paid for my items online, went to the store to pick up—had to walk all the way to the back of the store—and the man got my items quickly. He said to bring the sheet to checkout. I did and the checkout person tried to charge me for the items, not understanding the store’s online purchase process I guess. So I explained I already paid online. She then asked me if these items were recalled. I asked her what she meant and apparently that means whether they were already paid for. She used the recall term again as if expecting me to know what it means. It got figured out but was needlessly complicated. Anyway, I’ll be buying stuff online at their competitor’s store next time. Over there, I like that it’s quick and easy and you can pick the items up right in front of the store at customer service.

Staff helped me find what I needed. Large parking lot. Most employees were wearing masks, along with a few customers.

Love this store employees are always willing to help and they always have what I need.

One of the biggest Menards I have ever seen. You can take a car inside for the outdoor section. Service is nice, too. We are very impressed.

My wife and I visited this store to purchase three doors and hardware. The contractor that will install the doors, gave us the measurements. We worked with Josh in Millwork. Josh was amazing. He carefully asked us what we wanted and patiently explained the fine details. He ordered the doors, while we viewed his computer screen and ordered exactly what we wanted. The person in the delivery area and the cashier were also extremely professional and kind. We had an incredible experience, at Menards! An A+ experience all around. Wow, yes we will continue shopping here.

Always end up leaving with MORE than we came for. Have some pretty good deals if you look. Friendly staff.

Great hardware store, big, huge. The young men and women who helped were friendly and so willing to help. Beware the parking lot though. I almost got backed up into, lots of close calls in that lot over the years. I caught them on an 11% rebate on everything too. Woo-hoo.

They didnt give any instructions for picking up my online order, and it wasnt ready when they said it would be. Their prices are good, but this was just a lackluster visit.

Life changing the sercurity staff should talk with the US government and take over our jails and prisons and run them like that crew runs that store in Maplewood and I think we could have World Peace. Thank you gracias Asante shukriya and however you say thank you in Somalian.

This store is great. The staff is helpful, the product options are ample, and the atmosphere is more like a big hardware store than a converted warehouse. Much better than the remodeled locations and competitors.

They always have what I need.Salespeople for the most part are very helpful and know their departments.

There was a young curly-red-haired man working by the windows who was very helpful, and not condescending at all (which sometimes happens at home improvement stores). I wish I had gotten his name. Never had a bad experience here!

Good picked up couple things needed..checked for a small 22-24 wide shovel to replace my beat-up one..nothing out there like it...have to check out Fleet Farm. Hardware Hank..After them Ive run out options. Looking for aluminum..Ive got all I need in plastic.

Menards in Maplewood is great !!WATCH OUT for some of the specials they have in-between the aisles. They have deals on almost everything & the 11% rebate promo they run once in a while is good too. I just bought a bunch of chocolates they have at some Amazing prices (yes, they have Cholates too 😋).Lots of parking right outside the store.Located right off of Hwy 61 & by Hwy 36.

Horable management, this store had manager and associates follow me and called police cause I have asthma and dont where the mask. Most rediculus place Ive ever been. I would hope they all get fired and develope asthma.

It was a real eye opener! I wanted to get a new shovel matching the broken I have. The blade split right up the middle but still works fine. I had gotten that shovel originally elsewhere. The only full size regular snow shovels were sitting out at the front door for their maintenance workers. They had a bunch of the short collapsible shovels for a car trunk.I love my old shovel, just the right size, I can push or lift heavy snow. Not heavy, no unnecessary metal edge to catch on things/surfaces. As a consolation purchase I bought a couple Jack Links Lil Chubs. Very tasty!

I like how Menards reminds you to wear a mask which is really important today. Menards is spacious and they manage that by being organized. Workers dont seem tired or bored so they put good effort for helping customers.

The extremely helpful lady in the plumbing department went above and beyond helping me! She help me find a much-needed washer that had already caused a few hundred dollars worth of damage in my house ( not Menards fault) So she totally made my day! I love leaving reviews like this because theyre much deserved and great for others to see!!

I asked four different store employees, one young girl in hardware she has sent me in the paint department who have somebody plumbing and then I went and asked the front end Manager and none of them knew what loctite was.

Always love going to Menards. It just feels more personal and local than the other big home improvement stores. I also love the more traditional outdoor lumbar yard.

Staff is usually really good about helping you find things, easy to work with and quick easy access to the store.

After checking with an associate upon entering that I could shop without a mask, due to my asthma, and being allowed in, I was refused service at checkout and asked to leave because my medical exemption (with proof) to mask wearing was not honored. I had a cart full of items and a baby with me. Section 8 of Executive Order 20-81 excuses mask-wearing for respiratory and mental health medical conditions. Despite telling associates that I have asthma and showing them my prescription inhaler, while respectively keeping the recommended 6’ distance between us, I was denied service. If this is a private corporate decision, it should have been enforced up front and is still discriminatory.

The most helpful Menards Ive ever been to! The first person I asked where to find an item (a gentleman maybe, 5 6, earring, short brown hair I believe I didnt catch his name unfortunately!) was unsure of where the item was, but he was able to walk me to the correct department. We were in electrical and instead of leaving me to wander cause I was close enough he took the time and consideration to then direct me to another employee (Chris) that he was sure would know where the item was. Chris then quickly and efficiently found the item for me and double checked it to make sure. This made my Menards trip much less frustrating and so much more efficient. I appreciate the above and beyond service and the very knowledgeable employees! Best Menards experience Ive had in a while and I frequent many! Thanks Maplewood Menards and its team! Youre amazing!

Really good home improvement center. Carry a lot of stuff that you wont find at home depot. I think I think their light and electrical area is better and has more variety. They also carry a lot of specialty stuff.

Went there for retaining wall block, had most of what I needed. Special ordering the balance. Scheduled 2 deliveries because of weight. Sales associate was very helpful. Was very happy with that visit.

I am only shopping at Menards from now on! Because of their “everyone must wear masks” policy, I felt more at ease for the first time shopping in months not having to turn around in an aisle to avoid an unmask shopper! Thank you for this policy and for monitoring it so well. It’s obvious you care about your employees and your customers. Menards you are the best!

I have saved big money here. Theyve catered to my every need for home furnishings and outdoor decor. I now have a grand water fountain and outdoor swing. They are lovely to eat frozen pizzas off of. Mr. S was an especially helpful employee. 4 stars only because Ive never been here in person.

Love this place

I do my best to wear a mask over my mouth and close to my nose, but It causes breathing/anxiety issues when having fully over my nose. I was harassed heavily upon check out and was forced to leave the store. Will not be returning.

Im use to going to different locations. Im not a fan of how that store is laid out. Id rather go out of the way. The staff was helpful when I asked a question.

Pretty much everything I was looking for in one place. Even the most random thing that I needed. I wish the store was more laid out and organized like Home Depot, but not that confusing. The staff was really helpful, even though the ones I asked didnt know where things were lol.

Hard to beat their prices. Lumber quality is just as good as higher prices limber yards, though you do have to pay for delivery. The cheaper prices go hand in hand with a little higher hassle factor.

Reasonable priced products. They have just about everything you need for the home. I found stuff there that Id been looking for weeks!

Very small Menard Compare to my usual spot in Saint Paul. Very limited fans and had no air conditioners.

Love this Menards, clean, accessible, friendly staff, and products are generally if not always available.

Bad service and difficult employees made us show a receipt for the purchase we made online after we already did through the drive thru service area even when the product had a name and receipt on it and still wouldnt give us the product back after we showed our online receipt until they could verify it through their system which took forever and they dont even provide mask at the door they let people come in without them and then make them buy one at checkout which holds up the whole process I suggest either a different Menards or home Depot if I were you

I dont like this Menards. It has a heavy feeling of being in a large warehouse with stuff just put in it. The layout is awful, and the fit and finish is just not there. It is a very hokey pokey operation.
