Found what I needed, through a pile of clothes. Literally. There was a pile of shirts just laying on a table. Unfolded. Unhung (if thats even a word). The fitting rooms were closed, so I tried on the clothes by putting them on over my clothes to try them out.

Bought some jeans online. Had an online coupon we used. Took them back and got a different pair. Both were priced the same. Wouldnt give us the deal since they were different jeans. Had to talk to a supervisor that gave the ok. All did work out but caused some tension.

Only one dressing room with two rooms. People standing in line to get in. Not cool. my teen daughter needed bras and no one to help measure her to figure out sizing. Frustrating for my first in store shopping experience.

This is the worst store I have been to in a long time. It was filthy, trash everywhere, clothes were a mess. Only sizes available in most girls clothing were large and xlarge.

Its been a while since I was last in a JCPENNEYS store and I was not impressed with this one. There was a lot of empty shelves and very little choices.

For a large department store, it has a good amount of selection for people of all ages. Thier Levis section is really good and has the latest trends.

I used curbside pickup but had issues; there is upper and lower level parking but directions to upper, where curbside is located, was not clear in the instructions. I went to the lower level first but a call to customer service helped. Thanks

Well that was disappointing.Ordered an item for curbside pickup, but also needed to enter the store to find a pair of dress pants. It seems you have to be obese in order to fit in any of the sizes they have in store. I purchased a few other items and told the woman at the register that I had an online pickup and she mentioned I had to do that at the other end of the building, second floor. Drive around, parked in the designated curb pickup spot and hit the Im here link in the email. Waited 15 minutes and then I just went in thinking they must be swamped and just couldnt get anyone to run out. Nope, not a single custom at the checkout. There two associates there said their system didnt let them know someone was out there. What about looking out the glass doors and seeing someone parked in the pickup spot? At least the were very polite about it. Not the greatest experience my any means.

Short on selection and expensive for boys clothing. $25 for a plain white t-shirt. No thanks.

I love the customer service here! The color I decided that I wanted to go must be popular because they ran out in the salon. Instead of saying sorry but you have to pick another color, the manager, Leslie, ran to the supplier to grab it! Shes awesome and Jeannette worked with me every step of the way and explained each process and even price. They are smaller than some other locations but very nice and quiet. Great place for self care day!

We were welcomed with a big smile and hello! Never got that before. We shopped in here because we had such a nice welcome, due to that we spent over $200. I never shop here because if the service but thus day was a good day for me.

Store is messy. Can’t even find a person who works here to ask for help. Finally found someone to ask a question, I think she was a Sephora worker, as her outfit didn’t blend in with their products. Very nice gal. She directed me to the area that I was looking for. Personally, would not come back here. The mall that this store is at is so empty too.

I have never given a negative review in my entire life, but everyone who is considering coming to thins JCPenney needs to know what is going on in this place.I watched a manager shame an employee in front of guests and the employees rightfully seem unhappy. This was about a month ago. I came back today and saw a girl leaving and crying. What kind of establishment are they running? Management is reflected in the happiness of your employees. I’ve been a manager for three years and it’s clear they have a management issue. We are in the 21st century and treating people with basic respect is not a difficult thing to do. JCPenney has a financial problem right now and it’s not difficult to see why.I will NEVER step foot in a place who treats their employees like this.Shame. On. You.

Once I finally found a check out station (of apparently only 2 for a two floor dept store), there were only 2 checkers that were VERY old and VERY slow, helping two customers that had issues of there own... With seven more waiting in line.Locating the other registers / checkers was slightly better, but still VERY INADEQUATE for customer service needs.There was an employee who seemed to be in authority, but offered nothing but apologies for the situation.I hope the join the ranks of Sears and K-Mart soon.

Good deals for Christmas shopping

Ive been going to JCPenney for years & have enjoyed the services they offer. This particular salon, in the Maplewood mall, has been mine & now my husbands, go to for a while. Were seeing a second Master stylist & her prices are fair, in comparison to other salons. She does great work & we are pleased. However, the last year, Ive noticed a significant decline in the regular confirmation calls clients are supposed to receive prior to their appointment time. And I dont mean the day of, minutes before my appointment begins as were on our way to the salon. When I spoke to the manager, April, about it, she signed me up for text confirmations & Ive never received one. So, my suggestion is, ask for an appointment reminder card.Overall, I love this salon & will continue to be a regular customer for many years to come.

Been coming here since I was a kid. I enjoy coming here a lot and they usually have a wide variety of various products to choose from. Always decent prices and can usually find coupons to save a good chunk of money here. I like when they do the Kohls cash

5 stars because of the person, Ala, that rang my mother and I up. Super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The store almost looks like theyre getting ready to go out of business, but it could just be summer clearance stuff.

2 years ago for Christmas I went there to buy some jewelry that was on sale. I couldnt decide between necklaces so I bought both. This earned me $30 bonus dollars which I later applied to a pair of earrings. After comparing styles these earrings didnt match so I returned them and selected another. They credited the cash I paid but not the bonus cash ($30). I complained that the total value should have been applied to the new purchase. I asked to speak to the jewelry dept manager, she got snippy and said she was the manager. We discussed this for over 30 minutes and there was no budging on her part. It took a long time to make the initial purchases, but I really should have returned everything.I have now gone out of my way to never buy from them again, and suggest others should too if this is how bad they treat customers. Theyve lost my patronage hopefully for forever. I use to like this store, but no more. These large department stores are dropping away. Sorry to say; this one should too.

I originally wanted to leave one star just because of my experience with Leslie/Lesley(spelling?) That works in the Salon Department on Thanksgiving. The only reason I went with 4 stars is because Jennifer was extremely kind, helpfully, and definitely compassionate. My experience with Leslie was dreadful. After standing in line for over an hour, we were rudely told to get out of the line because a Nike sweatshirt didnt have a tag on it. Lesley responded saying she works in salon and they cant ring it up. We asked if we could go get the tag on a different sweatshirt and she said no. We then asked if we could go get the woman that told us the price and told us they could ring it up. She told my fiance yes to grab her. As he was walking away to grab the woman, she looked at me and said no, bud thats not going to work Im in salon. Get out of line I have people to ring up. I asked why she told him he could get the woman that worked there that helped us if she still wasnt going to ring us up. She responded with an even bigger, stuck up, rude attitude and told me its not her problem. This was completely uncalled for. We went back to the woman that told us the price of the sweatshirt and was in the middle of explaining what had happened and Jennifer over heard us and brought us to a register by the window curtains close to the salon and told us she was really sorry for how Lesley was acting and that Lesley knew all Nike hoodies have the barcode inside on the tag and could of easily done it. We were extremely greatful for Jennifers help. As we were leaving the store we over heard another family that had a problem with Lesley and how rude she was. Im not sure what made Lesley think her behavior was acceptable, but I do know there were other people making complaints against her and she should be talked to at the very least. Jennifer was great and is the reason my review went from 1 star to 4. Thanks again Jennifer!

Went to buy skinny Jeans for my grandson.This JCP (Mplwd Mall) has a sign where the Jeans were kept that said 519 Skinny jeans (which were also in ad I have), however, did NOT have 1 pair of 519 Jeans. Not one. Not any size. Then wanted to buy boys leggings that they wear under their shorts they had ZERO! Then wanted to buy girls unicorn onesie NO size 10. JCP selection of children clothes is NOT a selection at all.Why I went there I have no idea!

The associate working in the online pickup area didnt know how to do it. After waiting for 7+ minutes, a lead came over and resolved the pickup in 30 seconds. No acknowledgment or apology for the issue.

Great place to shop for clothes for many varieties. Some clothes are on the ground though.

They have a good selection of items. The big drawback is its severally understaffed and the shopping experience suffers from it. They do have some staff thats good if you can find them.

If I could give the salon 0 stars I would. My friend went in there the first time, was there for 5 hours getting her dyed and they told her to come back to finish it, so she had to pay $150 and then come back the next day, where they made her pay another $120, just for her hair to not turn out the color she wanted, purple. No! She had green, blue and gold hair now. So she has to go to another hair styling salon to get it fixed. Y’all should be out of business because I had a bad experience at the one in Roseville. Horrible!!

I loved my shopping experience at the Maplewood JCP location. Today, I was clearance shopping and bargain hunting for end of the season items. I found some great deals and prices on activewear. The original price for the pants was $44 that were on sale for half price( $22). On the JCP website that had coupons in various discount ranging from 15% non creditcard. Jcp card members got 20% off the order plus were about to use reward dollars. With the combined saving it I got 2 pairs of pants for $15 dollars. Im happy🤗

This place is known for terrible customer service. You got kid coworkers playing Rock Paper Scissors and literally running around. I should of recorded. Next time. Also, don’t order online and get it shipped here. It takes weeks!
