Literally just finished eating, and Im wishing I waited to go someplace better.Food quality - mid at bestService - okay, everyone is nice, but we didnt get straws until out second drink and the straws came wet. Orders were messed up, but not too badly. Asked for a specific fries but didnt get them.Overall, this place is okay at best. There are better places to eat and worse places to eat. Everyone was extremely nice and friendly tho
The food was okay nothing special, a bit bland but was edible. The pickles were bitter and the coleslaw wasnt that great. The onion soup was too salty for my taste. A very oldschool restaurant feel that made me feel comfortable.
This restaurant is my preferable site. Of all restaurants I know I favor it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to visit this place. Whenever I feel like having a good meal, this restaurant comes immediately to my head. exeptionalgorgeous and food and a large menu.well mannered staff members, and nice ambience. Not less important, the cost is affordable. I sent my friends to this spot with no doubt.
The service and food was good. The waitress did not ask what type of toast I preferred wheat or white. The restaurant is clean both outside the bldg and the eating area. Also, they have good salads.
This place is terrible!!! So we left!!!They had nothing that I originally wanted to order from the menu, it took them forever to make something simple like two eggs over easy with turkey sausage and hash browns, as I waited at least in half an hour at the table, I went to use the ladies room and my shoes were sticking to the floor. We left and we will never go back. It was disgusting!!!
Our waitresses was very inattentive was watching the TV more than seeing if the customers needed anything. By the time we got the food, it was already cold. The restaurant wasnt even busy for not to see that we were trying to get her attention. She didnt even have a pleasant attitude when it came to helping me and my friend. The hostess had way better energy.

When i first arrived i wasnt sure Id like it. After settling in our server was really polite, she came back to check on our table more then once and i appreciated that. The food was good however, i ordered a side of blueberry pancakes and notice the blueberries were imitation. Please add fresh blueberries and Ill come back every sunday! Lol.
Weve been waiting over a year for a diner experience and this hit every need of ours. Classic Jersey Diner foods, great service, out waitress was amazing and made sure to take care of us no matter how busy she was. We will be back for those Disco Fries.

Ordered pickup at this restaurant last evening and was given a pick time frame 6:25 - 6:35. Went to pick up @6:30, stood at the door and waited a few minutes to be acknowledged. I was asked by a waitress from behind the counter if I was being help, I gave her my name and said I was there to pick up my order. No response was given. I waited another five minutes, still no word on my order. I decided to go sit in my car for about another five minutes... went back into the restaurant, stood at the very same stop where I spoke with the waitress before, saw two bags that I assumed was my order, asked the same waitress who was in the same area where we first exchanged conversation, if my order was ready, at that point I was yelled at by another waitress from across the dining room that I should not shout across her restaurant because I was disturbing her customers.... I stated that was simply asking for my order, the time was 6:47... she came over to me and began yelling in my face to which I yelled back at her to get out of my face, the other waitress then came over put her finger in my face, began yelling at me also stating that I should not speak to her coworker like that..., the other waitress then said she was going to call the cops.... all because I asked if my order was ready.... I left without my order.... I’m not telling anyone not to patronize this restaurant but I will never return to that place. It’s the most horrible experience I’ve ever had at any service establishment....
Well I purchased a Caesar salad and they do not use Caesar salad dressing... Whatever dressing they use is not enjoyable... I also ordered expensive crab cakes.... Dont even think there is seafood in these crab cakes... Dont even know how to describe this cake ...👎 Ps... Just remember to tell them theres no soap in the bathroom 🥴 SMH

Great food, amazing staff. Theres one of the chefs, I think he/she work the afternoon. That chef can throw down. Very few places can make a goood mac-n-cheese, and my son is very picky about it. Every time we have that chef. My son eat ALL of it. Its amazing. Also the 2 teachers that work there during the summer as servers, are phenomenal. I highly recommend this place.
I just want to say that the food is awesome and the waitress are very great, and they practice social distancing. And are 😷 up when serving. Going a again.

Despite outward appearances, this somewhat recently renovated diner leaves much to be desired. I have never had so much go wrong in a single order than my first visit to this diner, and with so lackluster of a response!Our server, Tiffany, was pleasant and started us off fine, and we ordered normally. However, the problems arose once we got our meals. I had ordered a Body Builder Wrap, with regular egg instead of egg white, and a side salad with no onions. There were onions on the salad, of course, and I had it sent back and it was fixed. But when a place gets something as simple as onions wrong, it makes you wonder whether they got the rest wrong, so I asked if it was made with regular egg. It wasnt... the order was sent back again and I waited another 15 min for my order to be made correctly.In the meantime, my father noted that his Nicoise Salmon Salad, which was supposed to come with anchovies, did not come with said anchovies. It was one of the reasons he ordered the salad. When our server finally returned with my fixed order, he inquired about it, and she went to the kitchen to find out. Apparently, they ran out...that would have been nice to know beforehand. So, there was no communication about which items were 86ed on the day.Also, in the meantime, my mom found two - yes two! - hairs in her salad, which was otherwise made correctly.When I got my wrap back, I noticed that it was made without spinach and in a regular wrap instead of a whole grain wrap, as described in the menu. At this point, I was too tied of sending my food back, and too hungry to wait for yet another remake.Throughout this ordeal, Tiffany offered us a discount for the food, and although she said, sorry for that, her apology lacked sincerity. To add insult to injury, when we mentioned our issues with the manager, he was less than sympathetic. Tiffany had given us $10 off our order, but in light of the circumstances, we asked for a steeper discount from him. He gave us an additional 10% off our order. (Equalling a pitiful $3.70 off...)The food was tasty. The salmon on my dads salad was cooked and seasoned to perfection and my wrap was good tasting even without the spinach and whole grain wrap. And even the decorum and atmosphere was pleasant... But that doesnt make up for all of the problems, and the lack of willingness to accommodate us properly for them. We will not be returning there, at the least, not under the current management.

Went for lunch today at Maplewood diner. Was very impressed with the food, it was not only delicious, the quantity of food was such that i had leftovers for dinner. The people serving, were very friendly and accomodating of my requests. I sat near the entrance and overheard a few conversations btwn the manager and people coming in to pick up their take out orders. The people are super friendly and I have a feeling that this place has a terrific future!

The waiter was pleasant but the food was a disaster. The only thing that was fairly okay was the mashed potatoes. I took someone with me and I was embarrassed that their experience was a horrible one. The meat tasted old for both our dishes. With all due respect. I would say, take the reviews as messages on how to do better. Otherwise, thumbs up for cleanliness of your establishment.
Friendly, fast, courteous service from the moment we were seated until we asked for the bill. I had a blackjack burger with fries which was delicious.I think they have the best tasting coffee also! Its newly renovated and has booth section, stools around counter, and a very large dining section; tables and chairs.I plan to go back soon, and they are on doordash as well. I grabbed a takeout menu.

Service was poor. They were out of many items, but the server didnt seem to know much if anything. Nobody finished their very underwhelming food, except for the toddler who had buttered toast and my friend who had home fries. Some peoples food came out wrong, also. Ive been here in the past and everything was so good, which is why I brought my out of state friends back to experience a diner, but now Im just embarrassed. Not sure if Ill be back.
Service was mediocre( took for ever to get the check and parts of my order came out separate not all together) if you order a wrap it comes with coleslaw and a pickle I had to request it, nice clean place. Next time I go I would definitely choose a different meal I had the buffalo chicken wrap the fresh blue cheese was a little bit overwhelming for me.
I like this diner a lot. It’s local and pretty easy to access. It is open late and early, which is very convenient. Parking is decent. The wait staff is friendly and the food is good. They do give you quite a bit of food. My only complaint was the lack of napkins and condiments .
I ordered sauteed veges with home fries. Im glad the chef was able to make it even though it wasnt exactly on the menu. I appreciate the care he/she took in making my meal. Thanks to CiCi for being a great server.
The diner was outstanding the service could not have been better. OMG, the bathroom was really clean and smelled so fresh .....made it to the top of my list. The meal was good. I only had a sandwich and it was nice and fresh, . Will return to have a full course meal

I can only comment on the breakfast, which is fresh and delicious. Fast service and courteous friendly servers. I recommend.Updated May 2018:Had breakfast here for Mothers day and was surprised and disappointed. The food was not as good as before. I wonder if they changed chefs or management recently. The bacon was papery and oily, the French toast was too moist, and the pancakes we overdone. The service was not as friendly as before either. I just downgraded them to 3 stars. I need to find out more about the changes they made before I try to go back.
Really nice Mothers Day brunch... in the pouring rain of Spring19! Warm greetings, huge omelets, hot coffee. Reasonable price for a lot of food. Four of us had Spanish omelets and hashbrowns. Good value for money

Thought I would share this experience I’ve eaten here several times and have given them a second time but this was it not sure new cook but it’s old to me now . I had a sandwich egg white cheese beef bacon and home fries, bread was old, potatoes were uncooked! Eggs were burned, never again!! Call the store for a manager she puts me on hold for 5 minutes never came back to line worst service!

Love Love Love the food here. I have to advise you that if you are looking for small portions this is not the place for you. If was a breath of fresh air to have a doggy bag when I left and I love the atmosphere. I will be revisiting very soon.

Great diner for a quick meal at good prices. I have gone several times and it has never been very crowded so service was pretty quick. The food was very good as well for breakfast and dinner.
Im not sure what the issue is with this place but why doesnt anything have flavor, not even the sauces. The cole slaw was the only things flavorful. The buffalo chicken cutlets had watered down hot sauce on it, was soggy and the fries were cold like always. I tried to give the benefit of the doubt one more time but again we werent pleased at all. Ill just spend an hour waiting for quality food at Dons Diner.
In all the times Ive been here I have NEVER been so disappointed in the good or service. as forgiving as I am, I will never return. All it takes is a major screw-up like today to keep me away. Disgusted!

My husband took me and our 2 kids here for a quick snack for my birthday.. There were 3 tables occupied with guests in the entire restaurant . The lady sat us and said someone would be right with us... Unfortunately this was not the case. No one came over to say Ill be right with you! NOTHING! Didnt even offer us a glass of water. We got up and walked out.. FINALLY someone came to the door and said Is something wrong?... ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!.. 🤔🙄
This food was terrible. Im not sure if it was because I had the food delivered but i was HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED! The bacon was undercooked. The ham was watery which got into my eggs. The french toast literally tasted like regular bread dipped in egg. I paid almost $50 and honestly if I didn’t take a bite I would have drive up back myself to ask for my money. Will not order from here again!
Had lunch at the Maplewood Diner today. Just a simple BLT, but the lettuce and tomatoes were fresh, and the bacon was crisp. I opted for a fruit salad instead of fries, and ever piece of fruit was perfectly delightful. Our waitress was friendly and our host checked on us to make sure we were happy - and we were. Give the Maplewood Diner a chance. You wont be disappointed.
Great place to be in the morning for breakfast. Having a company with you will make you feel better. You come around with business partners and do business talk and deals. Better place to cool off your stress.

I have never had a positive experience with this place. My first time ordering, they messed up my order so badly that they had to send me a gift card. Then, I called to place an order today and as I read the entree directly from the menu, the woman asked if I wanted to read the menu and call back. After getting my food, it did not come with any garlic bread, which I asked to be added to the order if it was not complimentary. This place is unorganized and the food is not good enough to make me want to tolerate this.

Great, fresh food. The syrup didnt taste so good but, everything else was delicious. Fresh eggs and good ole Taylor ham.
U can easily tell the meals are pre-made and warmed up. Had a chicken sandwich and buffalo wings that was tasteless. Buffalo wings were still cold in the middle. My date’s meal was even worse.......no flavor whatsoever lol. Nice decor though.
Maplewood diner is decent. Decor has been updated and upgraded. Food and service is fair.

Good sunday afternoon spot for post church or post game family fun time. Its a diner and it is diner food done pretty well. Our large group seemed to sample the whole menu and most plates were clean. That is a good sign!
Lovely new place, I love their milkshakes! Food looks good. However, very immature staff. Waitresses were heard using foul language, while children were in the vicinity. Hair was not in a net. It would have been at least 4 stars if not for the cursing.
Very good local diner. Great diner classics, good service, nice neutral atmosphere. Good for hanging out with friends, or you could discuss business over lunch. Great diner!
