Great course, absolutely love the driving range and club house. The bartender on league night and the greens crew are wonderful. The management SUCKS & so does the slow old man starter. 10/10 recommend the course otherwise. Looking forward to a great 2022 golf season.

Why is this golf facility closing when its normally busy and a good place to practice/ play a 9 hole executive water happy course?Best driving range in Twin Cities east side. Lighted. Good range balls. Great putting green with enough room to have to yourself. Nice clubhouse. Excellent practice area for short game.The course...? Played it once and swore id not return. Too many undulations and water hazards for an executive course. Keep it simple.Too bad Ramsey County is going to close it in order to save Phalen and Goodrich and company. No other range like it and Inverwood is smaller and not lighted.

Probably the best 9 hole golf course I have played. Perfect for beginners and families, but very challenging from the back tees. Good for golfers of any skill level with welcoming staff and a beautiful facility. It would be nice if this course could stay open at the end of the year, have never seen it not packed.

So sad that its closing down for good at the end of September. Its a great challenging course to play especially if you only wanted to play nine holes. The staff is very welcoming and the drink selection is large. They also have heggies pizza and appetizers if youre hungry with a wonderful patio area to hangout after your round.

Decent driving range here with standard prices. I just wish they could have a better system for ball baskets at the range.

Course is in good condition. Excellent golf and excellent service. Employees are awesome. Ponds at Battle Creek lives up its name! Stay out of the ponds!

Love the driving range, with flood lights and nice greens on the practice range, short par 9 course but the fairway and greens are immaculate. Plenty of people will continue to enjoy it as long as it remains open!!

Only used the driving range. No comments really, pretty average for a public course in the middle of the cities.

Course is in good shape. This may be the last year for the Ponds. Get out and play it before it closes.

After paying and being told my son could come with me, some old guy stopped me and said me son could not go with. That he was too young, he just looked at him and didnt bother to ask his age. He then said I should try to get a refund. I didnt get one but was given a voucher instead. Not sure why I would want to come back. There should be a lot more coordination with staff. Maybe dont saybone thing is fine when It really is not.looks like a nice crouse.

The course was well kept and nice. The only issue I had was that they paired me up with another duo without asking or notifying me.

Most challenging 9-hole course in Minnesota! Very friendly staff. My son & I were late but they were able to accommodate us without any hitch. Has one of the better range also! Big greens but not easy at all. Definitely go give it a try.

They deserve to close. Not one worker at this golf course shows an ounce of decorum. Play here if you want stacked tee times, rude service, lawnmowers chomping your ball, and grounds crews running machines while you try to put on every hole.

Great course, Fun, some challenges and great upkeep. To think Ramsey County wants to shut it down is a shame. Only 9 holes but my favorite Metro course. Worth every penny, every time. Nice range and practice area too.

Very challenging 9 hole track. This is a REAL golf course with big undulating greens and is consistently in great shape. It can play long or short with 5 tee boxes for golfers of all skill levels. I never get tired of playing here.

Very challenging nine-hole golf course, you better hit your spots. I love this course but it can be frustrating! The practice area is awesome. I love to just come and hit the range and practice my bunker and around the green shots.

We just used the driving range. It was cheap and in great shape. Covid-19 rules were in affect so no full service at clubhouse.

Good course. Guy at desk in pro shop was a PAIN. Did not appreciate being yelled at after I couldn’t hear his mumbling through his mask.

Very picturesque and well maintained golf course! Challenging 9 holes that will give you a run for your money! Enjoyed the Junior tees so I can bring my kids with and get them interested in the game.

Hands down the best 9 hole golf course in Minnesota. Great design, extremely well maintained and super friendly staff. Glad they joined the Public Country Club program. Wish they would expand this into 18 holes...has potential to be a top 5 course in the East metro with 9 more great holes.

Played here yesterday with a buddy from Seattle. He got off the plane at 4pm and we were playing at 6pm. Food - 5 star Service- 5 star 9 hole course - 5 star Range - 5 star Starter. - 5 star. Cart person - 5 star. Drinks - 5 star. Ill be back for sure. Thanks for being part of PCC

Really nice 9 hole course. Upkeep is very good. Very challenging and takes skill. Can easily ve made into 18 playing multiple tee boxes. Only slight drawback is there are 4 par 3s, 3 par 5s, and only 2 par 4s.There is also a nice driving range and a small practice area.

Nice Driving Range

Very sad to hear that the Ramsey Country might be looking to close this course. I have to say that Ponds at Battle Creek is by far the best 9 hole golf course in the Twin Cities metro and has the best practice facility in the area. I went yesterday at 7:50 PM and the parking lot was full to max capacity. Not many courses can say that during the work week. Its extremely well maintained and easily blows the St.Paul and Minneapolis courses out of the park. The range is open till 10 PM and is a much better subsitute than spending $30 per hr playing #fakegolf aka top golf. under the lights. Do yourself a favor and check out this gem. Ramsey County please reconsider your stance.

This course is a gem. Even if youre a pretty serious golfer, this course is well maintained, greens are true, and everything is a little trickier than it seems.

Ponds is right. Ive sunk more balls in those ponds than I care to admit. Its only 9 holes, but the variety of the holes doesnt leave you wanting. The course is well maintained and rarely too crowded. The drink cart makes the rounds on the weekends and their prices are reasonable. Its a ton of fun.

Went May 12th weekend. Greens and fairways in decent shape considering the spring we have had. Sand bunkers could use some work.

Tough coarse for a 9 hole. Everything was taken care of nicely.

As always, Battle Creek is a great place to go for a walk. Paved paths. Benches if you need a break.

This is a great course with challenges on virtually every hole. The range has lights so you can get in some late practice as well. Lastly the staff has always been great!

Might be the nicest 9 hole course I have ever played...course is in great shape and is a tough track. Greens are fast but true.

To expensive for me but I live right by it and its challenging at parts. Good for a small group and a 2-1 drinks during happy hour

Excellent 9 hole course

Dont assume that just because it says open until 10:00pm that youll be able to hit balls at say 8:45pm. Drove 20 minutes to get there to be told by employee he didnt feel like turning lights on.

As a course it is a fun course to play but before me and a friend got on a staff member which I believe was a manager asked to see our receipts in a rude manner and we had both thrown ours away and of course he didnt believe us just because we are high schoolers and had to waste our time and go inside and ask if we had paid and the lady at the register told him yes and he came back out and said next time dont throw your receipts away very rudely again and I was already frustrated before golfing and you know that doesnt always go well so all in all good course/rude staff
