First impressions are everything! When I called to schedule an oil change Mr. Bruce was so unbelievably polite over the phone. The day of my oil change Bruce greeted me at the door with a hand shake. It was such a smooth and easy visit. Having such polite and professional employees goes a very long way. I highly recommend them. Thank you guys!!!

VERY ACCOMMODATING! I have needed their help for a variety of things and Bruce and Jose are always willing to figure out a way to help me THAT DAY!! Bruce even took me into the work shop area to show me what was going on UNDERNEATH MY CAR which was really comforting because other shops will come out and tell you you NEED ALL THIS WORK DONE but it can be hard to trust them. But Bruce SHOWS you and then explains a few different options and prices. I love the family feel of the shop also.

Showed up about 9am with no appointment and a very hot truck with no AC! Bruce welcomed me and said they would be able to help. In just about 1 hour, I was on my way with a very COOL AC. Many thank to Bruce and his team for great, fast, professional service.

My sons new trucks tire developed a slow leak. Tire was warranted from Discount Tire, No Discount Tire anywhere near the Keys? No Problem Marathon Tire to the rescue. In and out within 15 minutes, no attempt to sell me a new tire. In fact, had a great conversation with Bruce, the owner. Would highly recommend his business for any repairs, service or tire needs.

These gentlemen where fantastic in helping me with an unexpected flat tire the day before I was suppose to go on vacation! I arrived at the shop just a few minutes before 5 PM. When many people would visibly grumble at such late timing, I was instead greeted with compassion and a helping hand. Absolutely top notch professional service! Went in for a brake job, our hubs were bad they fixed it within less than one day! So friendly and they explained every detail, we were fishing so my mother-in-law and friend took the truck in to be serviced, they didn’t want them driving the truck so they got them a taxi back to the house, and we highly recommend them!!!! Wish we had service like that back home!!!! Very reasonable rates!

My experience here was top notch to be honest.Bruce met me at the front door and shook my hand and introduced himself.I told him I needed an oil change so he took my keys and said he could get me in right away.He said he would let me know if he saw anything of concern under the hood but I guess everything was ok and he didn’t try to up sell me on stuff I didn’t need.I wanted to give a positive review because I felt like I could trust them right away even though I didn’t know them.Nice guys and good prices.

I was told as I left to give them a review online so... here I am. This will be the first and last time I go here. I was a 15 minutes late to my 9am appointment due to not being able to find my wallet. I came in and immediately apologized but no hi, how are you or anything besides where my keys were. Very “cold.” After I took a seat I was offered coffee or a drink which is a appreciated and no smile until I paid and walked out the door. But the reason I won’t be returning is due to my sticker shock when I paid $183 for an oil change, tire rotation, and cabin filter... I have NEVER paid such an outrageous price in my life. The only reason I didn’t go to the Mazda dealership like I usually do is because I didn’t feel like driving to Miami... where I pay like $70-$80 for everything and even when I visit home in Michigan I don’t pay more than $60-$65 at a Chevy dealership. Never again.

I got a new drivers side hub assembly and 2 new tires which Jose found and also matched my back tires(tread and lettering). Might not mean a lot to most but thats the extra stuff that make me come back here. Ive had my truck back for about a week now and everything has held up. Great place and excellent service. Very knowledgeable owner and crew. They always go out of there way to make sure I understand all possibilities and options. MARATHON Tire, lube changed oil & filter of my car. It took approximately 30 minutes. Bruce gave me advise about my tires too. I will definitely go back there.

Goodrich tires are the most trouble free tires I have ever owned. They look great and give good service. The folks at Marathon Tire are courteous, efficent and kind. Give them a try the next time you need tires.

Made an appointment and got in right away for an oil change. Oil changed happened while I waited in air conditioned lobby with soft drinks. What’s not to like?

Bruce was great and super helpful! We had a nail in our tire, and were looking for a quick fix. Him and his team were able to check the tire, remove the nail and plug it in less than 30 minutes. Had SUV towed into Marathon tire, lube and more, after brake down while towing boat on vacation. It was Saturday and they were closed, so we left vehicle to call Monday morning for service . The owner called me at 7am to let me know he was on it . The Nissan Armada had blown a transmission oil cooler line and was repaired and ready for pick up by 1030am. I was very happy and the price was right 👍👍👍 If your in the Keys and you need help, come here first 😀😀😀

Needed a new trailer tire for return trip home. Mounted and installed in 15 minutes, cant do any better than that. Highly recommend, great service...even offered coffee.

We got a flat tire on the way to the beach. Were on vacation here, 1,200 miles from home, we pull in, Bruce ( the owner ) comes out, sees what we have going on, gets us RIGHT in. What a great shop. We werent there 30 minutes, got a very good price and had a good talk with Bruce. It was great to deal with a place that knows what theyre doing and does it well.

Had a flat tire while passing through Marathon Key on vacation.  Changed to the “donut” spare and within a few minutes spotted Marathon Tire. They had the right tire in stock (at a reasonable price) and had it mounted, balanced, installed and the spare and jack properly stowed in LESS THAN 20 MINUTES! I was on vacation and my ford f150 truck would not start. These guys got me right in, found the problem (fuel pump relay) and got it fixed fast. Saved the vacation! Happy to recommend them. Very friendly, fast and nice.

Amazing shop with the best customer service! Bruce and Cindy, and the entire staff, went completely above and beyond (and about 60 miles out of their way) to help us when we were in a pinch recently. We were on vacation with our young children when our truck just turned off while we were driving (right after we crossed the 7-mile bridge). It was about 5pm and they stayed after closing to ensure we could tow our vehicle there, hand off our keys, organize a rental car, and actually drove us to pick up the rental car so that we didnt have to take our young kids in a Lyft without their car seats. As soon as they opened the next day they got to work fixing the electrical issue for a fair price. I cant recommend them enough!

Best customer service ever! Bruce and Cindy are the best. They ordered a replacement tire for our camper and had it available when we arrived. They went above and beyond and worked with the company that made the tire. The tire was defective and it was replaced free of charge. Thank you!

I had a concern with my truck, facing a 12 hour trip home pulling a camper. I came in requesting a service, but they discussed the issue and possible outcomes. Instead of taking my money, they educated me on transmissions and sent me on my way. Definitely recommend them as they have demonstrated honesty and expertise.

We got a flat tire and needed to patch it or get a New one. The Store owner was super friendly and suggested us that could order a new one or Patch it. We Went for the patching and were ready to go in 30 min. The repair work was super cheap and in the waiting time we were offered soda, cola and coffee. Exzellent service!!!

Great family owned business. No reason to leave the Keys for routine maintenance on your car. Oil changes while you wait. All fluids, filters and tire pressures checked and topped off. Prices are fair and up front before the work was preformed. Id recommend Marathon Tire and Lube to all locals.

The people are incompetent. They were told that my car requires synthetic oil only and they put regular oil in it. Now my engine is blown. Needless to say Im Suing the pants off of them. 70,000.00 car and their incompetence has now caused me to get a rental till it can be fixed. Feeling very frustrated! Dont go to this place.Id like to retract my previous review of Marathon tire and lube and offer my deepest apologies as I was wrong in ussuming that they were at fault for my engine blowing up. By no means were they at fault. I came to find out today that it was a defect in the engine that caused it to blow. So I apologize for my previous review. This business and their staff are very polite courteous helpful and punctual. They even offer coffee and sodas for free while you wait. Its also very clean and the bathroom is immaculate. This place is worth visiting. Im giving it 5 stars.

After waiting an hour (vehicle taken back immediately) for my $104 synthetic oil change... I was informed WHILE PAYING that they did not change my filter. I now have a six hour drive ahead of me and will have to pay for another oil change. 100% waste of time and money.

Bruce the owner and his wife are amazing people. Even if you are just from out of town, they do all they can to ensure your expectations are exceeded. They offer oil changes while you wait and a variety of tire replacement options. They even have high tech balancing equipment in the back, not what you would expect from a Keys company. You wont be disappointed in this place. I dont think they are open on Saturdays though, just fyi.

Out of town for vacation. Major car troubles near closing time. Really thoughtful people, called and checked with rental cars in the area to make sure we have a ride for the night. Did everything they could to make life a little bit easier.

Just had a great experience at MTL! My rental needed a minor repair. I walked in with no appointment. Bruce, the owner, greeted me and had a mechanic on the job in minutes. Problem solved in short order at a reasonable price. Now I can continue on my vacation with no worries. Thanks!

Wish I had read these reviews before taking my car there for an oil change. Its on me for waiting too long and needing to get the change done that day for scheduling reasons, but when I was told it would be more than $80 to change the oil, and that doesnt include a filter, my jaw hit the floor. Bruce, the owner, was nice enough but due to the price I will never go back.

Today, I brought my car to Marathon Tire within five minutes of their established closing time. I expected just to leave it and pick it up the next day, but after explaining my battery issue, they didn’t hesitate to take a look and replace it-even though they could have been closing. Thank you to all three of the people who helped me- this was a HUGE relief. I would give more stars if I could!

I was traveling when I had low pressure in one of my tires (which turned out to be a sheet metal screw). I was also towing a boat. The shop was extremely accommodating and had me in and out with a tire repair in under 30 minutes.

Getting a flat tire while traveling can be really stressful. Marathon tire made it painless when I got in. Wish I would have gotten the owners name, but we had a brief friendly conversation and offered me a cold drive on a hot day. Ultimately, after inspecting my tire and testing that it holds air, it was fine and he sent me on my way. Thank you for making a stressful situation a pair less easy one!

I went to this place for the first time by myself and was kinda scared to be honest. It was my first time getting my oil changed by myself as well. As soon as I came in, I was greeted by a gentleman named Jose. He checked what needed to be done, talked to me about getting the tires rotated, and even talked to me after about trips and things he has done in life. He made my first experience very good and I hope the person who checks the reviews, shows him this one.

Amazing and honest service. Drove overnight from Orlando to Marathon only to discover a screw in my tire in the morning. Headed to the nearest place to get a plug in my tire. The incredibly honest staff informed me it was a short screw and no plug was needed... and there was no charge! Any other place would have not been this honest. I highly recommend these honest businessmen.

I came because the reviews said the staff was friendly but left completely disappointed. Sold me two new batteries for an outrageous price telling me the old ones were dead and when in the end the problem wasnt even the batteries, I passed by Advanced Auto Parts and guess what? The old batteries were fine. Gave Bruce a call about this asking if it was possible to return them since I had just bought them like an hour ago and he tells me No, I wont play your little game. Completely rude and unprofessional. Save your time and go somewhere where they dont think of your money as a game.

Had an appointment to have tires balanced and they said they where worn. They are bran new way less then 10000 miles. Scam scam scam!!!!

They do the job and will fix any problems you may have, but will force you to buy things you dont need. Told me my batteries were bad and although the batteries they were selling were overpriced, I said sure go ahead. Passed by an Advanced Auto Parts after and they checked my old batteries and said they were perfectly fine. Wont be coming to this shop ever again.Looks like I am not the first one this happens to based on older reviews.

I went there to get my bmw fixed for fuel pump. They fixed it and charged me $1200. But when i drove and put the gas to gas station, whole gas started leaking from bottom of gas tank. Clearly the work was not done properly and this is negligence. I called the garage owner immediately and explained whole situation. He agreed to get that fixed again. But he said his staff is not available and shop is closed now. I have to drove to dallas that evening but due to this i have stay for night at marathon.Though garage owner paid my hotel bill, but the work he had done was not proper and due to which some major accident could have done at gas station or with my car like a fire. Total bad experience.Secondly he took almost 5 hours just to check that fuel pump is not working and i was sitting in his office since morning 7.30 till whole evening when i got my car.Pathetic experience.

Bruce and his team completely rebuilt the front end of my truck, we were on vacation 1300 miles from home when trouble developed. He got my truck into the shop and back out the very next day. Many thanks.

I had issues with the spark plugs.Just needed the car looked at and quoted. The person who took my info had no idea what I was saying and the guy he asked for help from was incredibly rude and walked away from me.Awful experience, never coming back.I ended up going to Sunny Motors up the road and they got me in and out really fast and cheap.

My experience was over the top helpful. Chris and the guys go well out of their way to lend a helping hand. Even when the task is out of their job description they didnt hesitate to jump on it! Thanks again for everything again!

Simply put, Bruce and his team saved our long weekend to Key West. We got a flat going onto the Homestead TP extension. Once the tire was changed, we called several places throughout the Keys and Bruce was the only one who had the tire. Once we got to Marathon, I was in and out of the shop within a 1/2 hr and we were on our way. MTLM is also very responsibly priced.

Always scary to have vehicle issues on vacation so far from home. I was referred to Bruce at Marsthon Tire & Lube by a local when my brakes started to make a squeaking noise. I was afraid that the wear indicator was rubbing telling me that my brake pads were shot. Having only one vehicle here, I was “stuck”, and could see myself missing a vacation day at a shop. 20 minutes after arriving, Bruce took me in the back to show me that my brake pads were fine, and the rotors were a little glazed. He very honestly told me that it wouldn’t hurt to do a brake job, but that it wasn’t imminent. Thank you so much for your honesty. Now my son and I can do the planned fishing charter without worrying about getting brakes on vacation. The cost to check it out was fair and expected.
