The best experience. I have constructed my entire home with Gilbert and Cole from the nails, wood, siding, doors, windows and everything in between. The staff are experts, the delivery team is fantastic. We are lucky to have a local lumber yard and showroom in our town. Shop local!

Great local Lumber yard. Much better quality than the big box stores. You dont have to pick through piles of wood to get a straight board. Plenty of other building products and hardware, too. Knowledgeable staff.

I was so surprised to see a bad review of Gilbert & Cole, I had to write my own review. Ive gone here for several home improvement projects and was always shocked at how good the customer service was. Theyve taken the time to talk with me about the best materials to buy and educated me on the proper way to complete my projects. Each time, Ive gotten better materials than I would have found at a big box store, at a really good price. I was just recently in there several times while rebuilding my deck and Brendan spent time each time I came in, addressing any questions I had and making sure I had the right materials. I cant recommend Gilbert & Cole enough. Ive never had anything less than an excellent experience here.

You might think these guys deal only in lumber and hardware but do not be deluded; their advice and suggestions have been invaluable to me as an artist. They always come up with a solution to some artistic delimma I am having. They are the best!Sandra Winter

These guys are stellar. I think I know what I need but leverage their experience and talk through the design and come to a consensus together. they have great recommendations and know building, not just building materials, but also the application. I wouldnt go anywhere else to save a couple bucks.

Ive been slowly DIY finishing my basement over the past months (OK, almost a year) and every time I walk out of the store or hang up the phone with Brendan or Bill I am more confident in the quality and timeliness of the project and typically surprised at the price, which often beats big orange. Ask them to show you around and take particular note of the stack of 2x4s - every one Ive gotten from them (a few hundred total) is dead straight and defect free. Delivery and returns have been as easy as pie. I get quality goods, advice I couldnt get anywhere else, and a thank you for my business. Even if it was far away, Id still use Gilbert and Cole for all of my building projects.

Terrible on the phone. Better customer attention if you go into the store. They have a shop dog who greets people when they enter, appeared friendly enough, excited to see kids.
