I am happy to have found a great local auto mechanic! The owner was very professional, friendly, and informative. I brought my daughters car here on the recommendation of a friend after having gone to a different repair shop in the area. The other repair shop, which is a franchise/chain, gave me a much higher estimate. Jerry at Y & F was able to complete the same work at a much lower cost. His customer service is excellent! The area is quite busy but I was able to get the car back very quickly. I highly recommend this auto repair shop!

I could not be happier! I finally found my trusted neighborhood mechanic! My family owned an auto repair shop my whole life but when I moved to Broward, I didnt really have anyone here that I trusted. Jerry is a honest and great mechanic. I am a Dade county native moved here in the summer and Jerry is my new mechanic. They will care for you and your car as they would theres. Have been going to this place for over 10 years, service is great and honest. Jerry is always helpful and friendly. Never had an issue with any repairs done here. All my family comes here since it was owned by the previous owner, but once Jerry took over service has improved a lot. You can tell this is a family business since he makes you feel at home and you never feel pressure for buying services you really dont need. This is the reason I keep on going to y & f. Its really hard to find a good honest mechanic but Jerry somehow always hires really good ones and not to mention his own skills. Its always nice to know you wont get screwed by your mechanic or the dealer. Give Jerry a chance guaranteed you will go back.

I recently moved to Coconut Creek, Florida, and I needed some help with a simple car problem. I read some good reviews of Y & F Auto Specialists online, so I took my car to them. I met Jerry, the owner, and I was very pleased with his approach to auto repairs. He explained everything carefully and did not try to take advantage of my limited knowledge of auto mechanics. I trusted his judgment, and he took care of the repairs. I think that Jerry and his staff are dependable and reasonable, and I plan to take my car back to his shop when necessary.

Just like going to the dentist and having him explain the operation to you before he starts, answering any questions or doubts you may have before hand...I went in to Y&F couple weeks ago for oil change and to check my brakes pads. Oil change was very reasonable priced. They then put my car on their lift inspecting the entire vehicle. Jerry said that that my brakes pad still had a length of time before it wears out and gave me a printed out estimate of what the cost is to change the brakes pad when Im ready...not just telling me one thing then changing it when I go back like my previous mechanic. I liked that. Great environment, family operated, PROFESSIONAL service and goes out of their way to please customers.

A year ago, I would have probably written this place a recommendable review. Today, not so much. I had work done with them in the past and although their communication was always rushed and subpar, they did good work at a good price. I had to have my fiances car towed this morning after overheating -- took it to a recommended shop that was close by and received a quote from that shop. I remembered Y & F auto and decided to call them to see if I could get a rough estimate -- as I would rather give them my business as a repeat customer. The owner, Jerry, answered the phone and I explained the cars issue and that it had been towed to another shop, but that I wanted to get an estimate from them before making any decisions. His exact, very rushed, words, We need to see the car before giving an estimate -- click. He literally, hung up on me in the exact moment he uttered his last word, not even giving me a chance to reply or say, Sure, when can I bring the car in? It felt extremely disrespectful to just abruptly end the conversation and hang up on a potential repeat customer. Im disappointment with the treatment I received.

Finding a decent, honest mechanic can be very stressful. Fortunately, in my case I happened to run into Jerry many many years ago (8 or 9), since then I have been taking all my cars (about 5) to his shop for regular maintenance and repairs. The reasons are very simple, Jerry is a person you can trust he will do, or recommend to you what you really need to do to your vehicle, he is never trying to sale you parts or services are not required or indispensable for the well performance or your automobile, besides he always takes the time to explain to you why something needs to be done and looks for your best option, therefore having to fix your car does not become another problem for you. Next time you experience a problem with your car and have no idea where to take it, go to Jerrys shop and I assure you, you will be the next person writing a good review about him.

My first experience here was when I wanted a second opinion on a repair that my wifes favorite mechanic indicated she needed. Jerry took her car, inspected the issues and found she was not going to need to have her entire AC system replaced and only the condenser was leaking. Her saved us over $900.00 and my wifes guy had been taking care of her car for years and insisted she needed a major repair job. Who ever wrote the bad post cant even spell so maybe its a jealous competitor....

My parents and I have been getting auto service here for what feels like forever. Went to high school with the owners kids. I moved away, but my parents and little brother still utilize his services.
