Visited the place a few years ago and the gentleman behind the counter was just a delight.... that was then. We needed sensors cleaned on several camera bodies quickly so I thought we’d give them a try instead of mailing them to Canon. The sensors were quite dirty and they were returned dirty after paying $200. I wondered if they were accidentally put in the wrong pile and I even asked but the woman insisted they were inspected and cleaned. The woman also offered to have them recleaned for no additional charge but it just felt too risky. Alas, the nice man behind the counter was gone and it just wasn’t the same. People do business with people. We sent the cameras to Canon where they do a reliable job cleaning sensors.

This place has earned its reputation. Glad I came here!

Handled inspection of my damaged camera for an insurance claim. Provided a written statement for the insurance company stating that the camera would cost as much as a new camera to repair. A dishonest repair shop would have likely used this as a money-maker, but PCR showed their honesty.

Amazing service and assistance with some of my other questions related to my camera body.Bonus is easy parking lot. Only thing is limited weekday and weekend hours for people who work during the week and live kind of far away, but I was able to make Saturday hours work.

I took my Nikon 70-200 f2.8II into another big repair shop a few months ago in Smyrna because it had a AF Squeak and they told me it needed a new AF motor and said it had to go to Nikon. I didnt want to wait 4+ weeks and I heard Peachtree Camera was authorized on Nikon equipment so I thought maybe theyd be a able to turn it around faster. Not only were they fast but it didnt even need a part. They were able to fix the old motor and they did it lightning fast and for a reasonable price. Theyll be doing all my repairs from here on out!

This place is absolutely the best! It is one of those rare businesses that cares about customer service as well as the actual service they provide. Super knowledgeable, especially about Nikon (and, apparently, Hasselblad). And Alan is a great guy and a wealth of info on all things photography!

The owner patiently walked me through my options and advised that I was probably better off buying a different used lens from someone else. Amazing place! Our camera quit on us a couple weeks before our camping trip in the very photo worthy SW. I did some searches, read reviews on camera shops and pinned my hopes here. Estimated repair time was 2 weeks, not quite fast enough. We dropped the camera off early on a Tuesday morning while up in the area. Amazingly, they had the part for our 13 yr old camera in stock and gave us a call later that afternoon to pick up our repaired camera! They cleaned it, too. Our pics came out great!

I wanted to be able to leave a perfect review, but simply, my camera still has the same issue it had after I sent it in. The staff members I spoke with were all friendly, and helpful. The turn around time was very quick considering the holiday. I sent my camera body in due to a slow shutter release. I was told that the camera checked out, and it only needed a cleaning. I agreed to have that done and was excited to get my camera back, especially since it shipped in a day instead of two. However, the camera is still performing the exact same as it was before I sent it in. Money spent, problem not solved.

Stopped by because I had a problem with glass. Received fast & great customer service! Was treated like family. Would recommend anyone who has any problems with their cameras, glass, etc.

I could not trust anyone more with my camera. They were able to take a look at my camera and identify the problem within an hour! They said one to two business days but the problem with my camera was more obvious because I was the one who broke it and knew the part that broke. They are honest, fair and very knowledgeable with cameras! Hopefully I wont break my camera again but I will be using their service and suggesting them to all my friends! Great business!

Although Nashville TN has a ton of unique cool stuff...we do not have a full service repair shop. Luckily our local best camera shop Durys advised me to send my camera to Peachtree... So I set it up and sent my camera. Let me tell you how amazing Peachtree was. Kept me updated on the progress. I am very satisfied with pricing. Very happy with my camera... They cleaned EVERYthing! Had a problem with my Nikon flash, couldn’t get it off camera hotshoe. Took camera in on Monday morning and was shipped out that afternoon already repaired. We live about 3.5 hours away but should the need arise, will drive it again. Rather talk face to face when dealing with things of this nature. They are professional and provide excellent customer service. They called back within an hour with a quote. Camera and flash were well packaged for shipment. Can’t say enough good things about this shop

They were going to charge me for a lens microadjustment on my 50mm. Turns out they were planning on using the built-in AF Fine Tune setting in most camera bodies. You can do that at home. So I drove all the way from Decatur to discover this.I know that my camera body doesnt feature AF Fine Tune. They made it seem like my fault for not telling them the model I was bringing when they didnt even ask.Also, the pros didnt even bother to come out from the back and speak to me directly. Just sent someone back and forth to relay messages. I just think thats pretty old-school.Ill change this review if I ever have a good experience here in the future. I hate leaving bad reviews.

My heart was broken when I thought my camera was demolished. On referral from a friend, I visited your camera repair shop. I can say nothing except that I am SO HIGHLY IMPRESSED with not only the outstanding job you did saving one of prize possessions, but also the professionalism and courtesy I received was immaculate. It is a 2 hour drive one way for me....but I will DEFINITELY drive it again if needed!!!

I sent in my fathers film camera that I use professionally for repairs on the recommendation of another company. I spoke to their representatives on the phone and they assured me they could fix the problem. They then told me they could not fix it, but would ship it back in broken condition for twice the amount I paid to ship it to them originally. Now they have not responded to my emails for two weeks and refuse to send back my camera. I feel completely robbed of a camera that has been in my family for decades. Very disappointed in the service and honesty of this store.

I just picked up a vintage Nikkor 105mm f2.8 macro lens which I took to get repaired as its focus ring was stiff. The focus ring is now super smooth. I can definitely tell a big difference. All the glass elements are also now clean and completely free of dust. The price was very reasonable and slightly more affordable than KEH. I will absolutely go back to peachtree camera for any other lens pairs I may need.

When my brand new f2.8 lens hit the concrete and broke into two pieces, I felt sick to my stomach! When I got the repair estimate, it was so much less than I was anticipating. Lens was repaired quickly and good as new in no time. Thanks guys!

I had a very poor experience with Peachtree Camera Repair and would not recommend them to anyone.I took my camera in for a quote to repair the pop-up flash mechanism and a lens repair. Since they offered sensor cleaning at a reasonable price, I decided to go for that as well.A family member in the area was picking up my camera, and called in to see if it was ready. They informed him that the camera was repaired and ready to go. They gave a quote for the complete repair.When I went to pick up the camera, the associate who helped me was extremely rude and informed me that my lens was not repaired, and was not included in the cost. I explained that I never received this information, and she responded that she had called me and told me this, which was completely untrue. My family member called her, and she had never made an attempt to contact or speak to me at any point in time. When I tried to explain the situation, she was extremely rude, said well thats what it costs and would not acknowledge that a mistake (or at least a MAJOR mis-communication) had taken place. The associate was insulting and acting like I was trying to take advantage of the situation. She was unprofessional and only worried about taking my credit card and pushing me out the store.I did not want to pay $250 for a fix to an occasional spring/pop-up flash problem, when I could buy a nice flash for that amount. I believed my lens would be repaired as well. Now, I have to pay another shop in Duluth to perform the repair and wait 2 additional weeks for a working camera.Absolutely awful. Poor customer service. Poor communication. Very disappointed with the associate, although the owner seemed extremely knowledgeable.

Peachtree Camera Repair is great! I went in not knowing how much it would take to fix my Canon SLR but with just a few seconds, they fixed it for no charge (the lens was stuck)! I highly recommend and would go back there with any problems that I had.

I was ready to give up on my 18-200vr on my new d7000 as the images were just not sharp. These guys fine-tuned/micro adjusted my camera (which I had tried to do myself unsuccessfully) and then adjusted the lens to match the camera. Problems solved! And their adjustments were drastically different than what I had tried myself using various online tutorials. Plus they were affordable, fast, and great to deal with. Highly recommend!

I walked in with my old Nikon D1X, I had recently dropped it and the focusing screen had fell out. I did not know how to place it back in and thought this was going to be a major repair. They took my camera in the back, fixed it and dusted out the camera and told me to have a nice day in less than 3 minutes. They did not charge me. I highly recommend them if you have any camera repairs needed. True professionals and awesome customer service.

If you dont mind waiting and can look past unnecessary delays due to redundant policies, procedures and a slight lack of communication, This is the only place in metro Atlanta to consider for professional Nikon or Canon etc certified camera or lense repairs. Nice family owned business and very good work. My only negative is With no way to pre-authorize or OK any service however, no matter how busy you are and what you instruct at first be prepared for lots of secondary calls regarding your estimate and if you still want them to fix it. Every time Ive used them my gear has sat there idle for days and weeks with not a single part ordered until I called to re-confirm that yes, I still need the repairs and yes, I can pay the estimate they have for the work... Which has always turned out spot on

However, last night while shooting the Wishbone Ash concert for the newspaper my camera died (I figured it was only a dead battery so I didnt put much thought into it until later). Upon further inspection I realized it was not a battery problem and took it there today. The gentleman I dealt with was kind and courteous and put a Pro Rush on its inspection. He assured me that they would look at the camera today and let me know by closing time what the problem seemed to be. Well here is where the service side of the equation comes in. I get a call a 4:56, they close at 5:00, from the lady that handles the front end. She was finally returning a phone call that I had put in about 11am this morning and I explained the above to her and told her that I had already been in and dropped off my body. I asked if she could check and see if they had been able to figure out the problem but she used every pan excuse not to do such as she had other calls to return and Im sure wanted to go home. Well, I finally got her to go in the back and check with the tech and was told that the camera had a broken pin that had probably caused a short to happen by floating around the inside. This again was no problem and I asked them to go ahead and send it off to Canon for repair and was given a 2-3 week return time. If thats what it takes, hey thats what it takes. The main reason I do not give this a five is the conversation with the front end lady on the phone. I have read other reviewers and have seen where they have had problems with her. I was as kind and courteous as I could be but I had told the gentleman I dropped it off with that I needed to know today what the problem was so I could know what to do for my weekend shoots. She happened to walk in 1/2 through our conversation and was helping another gentleman and when I pointed out to her that I had been promised that it would be looked at today and such her response was Thats not what I heard My jaw about hit the ground. I dont care what kind of business youre running. Garbage or Camera. This is not what you say to loyal paying customer that has sent literally dozens of faithful customers to your store. Wow... just wow is all I can say.

I had the most disastrous experience with this repair shop. They diagnosed my lens with the wrong part missing, thus ordering the wrong part, then back ordering. It wasnt until 4 weeks later when I visited, assuming it was ready for pick up, to find out all the wrong they had done. When I asked to take my camera lens back for no fee, the store representative very rudely suggested that I pay for the wrong parts. I was livid. Terrible professionalism, even more terrible customer service. DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE

Took a lens to Peachtree Camera and Video. It was repaired in less than a week and for half the cost I was quoted by another repair shop. Months later it still works well. I dont understand the negative reviews. I experienced excellent service!

Had an older 70-200 VR lense adjusted which was not focusing correctly. Took them only 2days to complete and so far it works just fine. One of the only authorized Nokon shops in the southeast.

LOVE Peachtree Camera Repair! I just received back one of the camera bodies I sent there (one for a blown LCD fuse and one for a shattered LCD screen). The staff were nice and knowledgable, the prices were significantly less than Nikon Professional Services (NPS), and my camera came back completely cleaned inside and out, repair done flawlessly and they even charged the battery. It was packed way better than when I sent it, too. Comparatively, when I had to work with NPS a couple of years ago, the staff people were very difficult to work with and didnt understand cameras, they overcharged me AND they sent my camera back poorly packaged and missing the body cap. Just sayin... Peachtree has won my heart.

This family-owned business is my primary location for professional camera and gear repair. They are a certified Nikon Camera repair center, and would be surprised if they were not Canon Camera certified as well.
