I have been buying my daughter’s pointe shoes here for several years. They have a wide selection of brands and styles, and a very knowledgeable and helpful staff. They offer discounts for students dancing with a company and for buying multiple pairs of shoes. Recently, my daughter needed to try a larger size while attending an out-of-town intensive. A store associate was able to arrange for quick shipping, so she received her shoes within two days.

My experience at DanceMax was great! The clerk fitted my daughter her with ballet shoes. Very nice and helpful. Good selection of everything.

I cant say enough great things about DanceMax. We live in Johns Creek and it is worth the drive. The staff are attentive, happy and listen to what you want. They have a great selection and I love searching their sales rack. Most recently they helped me get pointe shoes after a 28 year hiatus from pointe. There was no judgement and the fitter knew everything that needed to be checked with the shoes. After I sewed the elastics and ribbon on I was having some issues so I came back and they talked me through suggestions on how to improve on what I had done. Both of my daughters dance as well and they take time fitting their feet and listening instead of acting like they know more than you do (like another dance store closer to us). I love coming to the store where my 37 years of ballet experience isnt ignored and the staff dont try to dumb me down (like I have experienced at the other store). I also love that they have a bin of $5 pointe shoes. Great for decorating!! Id give 10 stars if I could!

Helpful employees. There is a list of clothing requirements per dance studio that the employees can refer to. If you are aware of a sale or discount posted in an email or text, you must remind the employees. Only customers aware of sales receive the sale price per my conversation with employees at my last visit.

Best place for a pointe shoes fitting.

DanceMax is always willing to help their customers. They do their best to ensure proper fitting and have lists of studios in the surronding areas to help parents and dancers get the correct attire. I love that they fit children for dance shoes and ask them questions about comfort to figure out if the shoe is the correct fit. The staff is always friendly, helpful and full of smiles.

This was our 1st time in dance max. The store was stocked with everything dance you could imagine. Prices seemed fair. Help was offered to us twice. Checkout was a bit slow with only one register open but other than that everything was great.

I have a small daughter who is growing out of dance shoes as quick as we buy them. I appreciate the staff taking the time to try everything on and make sure it fits correctly so that shes not injured. Most of the staff are former dancers. They are extremely knowledgeable. They do a lot to support the local dance Community. They give discounts, they advertise, they have beautiful photographs of local dancers.

I got the 5 start treatment and they are very helpful. Called ahead to select dance uniforms for the kids, not only did they have everything I needed but it was waiting for me by the register when I got there to check out! I sincerely love this place! It will definitely go back to get more.

I enjoyed shopping for both of my daughters dance gear needs at this store until I saw my trademarked brand / company name being sold on tees and water bottles in the store. After reaching out to the owner to discuss the issue, I never received a response, which was extremely disappointing. From one small business owner to the next, I thought the owner would try to make the issue right, but that was not the case. Needless to say, I will NEVER shop here again and my lawyers will be in touch with the manufacturers of the products to issue a cease and desist.

Great place for purchasing dance wear. Knowledgeable and helpful staff. They won’t look at you weird if you go in and say, “I need the cheapest pair of taps you have.” Knocking off 1 star because it seems to take forever to get through the checkout line.

Visited the store for the second time today. I have four girls who required shoe fittings. We were immediately assisted when we entered the store. Several sales associates immediately went to work helping us. The sales associates were very knowledgeable in fitting pointe shoes and ballet slippers. The worked quickly but very efficiently. We were in and out very quickly. The discounts offered when purchasing multiple pairs of pointe shoes is amazing! We will definitely be returning for our future dance needs.

This place is AMAZING..... Everything you need and more. I came with my sister who is a Art & Dance teacher for Anderson Boys & Girls Club. She was picking up some items for an up coming performance, customer service was great. All the staff that we came in contact was very nice especially Devan & Lora. Devan she was so awesome she is my sister go to person if Lora is busy. Devan made sure my sisters needs were met and she took her time to find solutions to items that were not available. So in the end it all worked out. They even offered to promote my sister students upcoming performance on there page KUDOS DANCEMAX👍👋 GREAT EXPERIENCE. check them out for all your competition, ballet, point, church, gymnastics, jazz, tap etc needs.

Just spent an hour in line with only about 6 people in front of us. 1 cashier with about 10 people working. Everything about this store is slow and inefficient. I guess since they are only one of a few shops in town, they get away with awful service. I won’t shop here again and neither should you. This store is the reason brick and mortar stores are dying.

The store os much bigger than ot looks from the outside. Huge selection of all dance essentialls and lots of fashion leotards, wide variety of sizes. Very helpful, knowledgeable stuff - the woman who was fitting me asked me to do a few moves, looked at my feet and came back with three pairs of shoes, one of which fitted perfectly. It was totally worth a drive from Tallahassee.
