First time eating here. Decided to give it a go since I’m always looking for a good catfish house. I really enjoyed the catfish and the appetizers I tried were great as well. Really good place! I highly recommend it!

Weve been to Catfish Hox multiple times and absolutely love it! Best catfish around! Very flavorful and seasoned to perfection! We also love the fact that the catfish plates come with hush puppies (with corn inside) and fried okra. And you cannot go wrong with their mac and cheese!!! Its so good!

This place is fantastic. The food is wonderful and the staff is friendly. My only regret is that I lived nearby for over a year before I tried it. I got the red beans & rice with blackened catfish and am still thinking about how much I loved it. My husband got the fried catfish and it was delicious too. Also, if youre not sure whether or not to get the fried green tomatoes, do yourself a favor and get them. They are delicious.

The environment here was inviting and comfortable. We were a family of 12 and our food was ordered and on our tables less than 20 minutes. Friendly staff with bright smiles!! Our family had great time here.The food was well seasoned and delicious!!🥰🥰We are coming back!

This place is my new favorite. The fried green tomatoes are some of the best I have had and the aioli served with them elevated the flavor. We also had pork cracklins, which I normally do not like, but the peppered vinegar served with them made the taste awesome. The blackened catfish with Red beans and rice was really good and the cornbread that came with it was a great side. I also got to taste the fried catfish which comes with a flavored sauce and it is some of the best I have had. I was told the brisket was also very good as was the shrimp po boy.

Veteran owned and operated. The Catfish was seasoned just right. The red beans and rice was out of this world. The staff really seemed to care for the customer and the business. This place is definitely a diamond in the rough as its on the corner of a small shopping plaza. Dont let that fool you! Will definitely be back!

Came for the catfish. However, the fried okra and macaroni and cheese were the best Ive had. The catfish, while perfectly prepared, was a little salty for my taste. They have a broad menu and I would return to explore the other offerings on that menu. The service was very attentive and professional. This is a veteran operated restaurant that serves the local neighborhood.

Absolutely love Catfish Hox. Whenever Im close to the area, this is my go to. Their brisket and catfish is amazing and their sides are so good too. Highly highly recommend.

Fantastic food and wonderful service! They have a drive thru and pick up. We are dinner inside and couldnt be more pleased with the environment, savory food, and love put into this little place. One of our new faves!

I’ve never been to a restaurant that closes at a certain time and when I arrive 5 minutes before close I can’t order. I’m a restaurant manager myself and when I have guest arrive 1 minute before close I still have to take care of them. Poor customer service and I will never return.

Tastes like homemade! Solid, straightforward, Southern-inspired comfort food just like your Mama (or in this case, your Daddy) makes. The mac n’ cheese is the sleeper surprise & the hush puppies have a twinge of sweetness just like I like. I wish they had other types of fish regularly, as I’m not a fan of catfish (but my family says the catfish here is very tasty!) so I often opt for the chicken dishes. Sometimes the chicken can run a touch dry but nothing their BBQ mustard can’t fix. Alex, who runs the front of house, is very friendly & personable. Happy to support a family-owned business in the neighborhood.

Catfish was great. Quantity of sides was tiny (and not full), and after re-checking with the young lady at the drive through window to ensure they included tarter sauce - there was none. The roasted half chicken was petite. Hushpuppies were very good.

It was good. Both the Cajun crispy and blackened catfish were delicious.

Great food, justifies the higher price point. Green beans did NOT come out of a can which was nice. Mac-n-cheese a bit cheesier and less creamy than Chick-fil-A, 10/10. Will not disappoint.

Good Southern eats.Stopped in for a weekday lunch. We started with the fried green tomatoes, which were battered heavily with corn meal, making them tasty but very gritty. The catfish lunch platter was large, with very light, moist sweet catfish from the farm raised fish -- not the darker, oily fish you occasionally get. The accompanying hush puppies had a sweet flavor, and we enjoyed them greatly.We also had a barbeque platter, which had a great smokey flavor even if it was just a bit dry for my taste. Solved that problem with a little extra sauce, which also was tasty.

We tried Catfish Hox for the first time this evening and placed an order online. We were told the order was rejected. When we called, the woman on the phone confused us with another order. That order had several items that were apparently sold out. When we straightened out the misunderstanding, our order was only missing green beans. Then the response was Look, we are just really busy not How can I help you with a replacement item? or How can I help you?, period. I doubt well be giving Catfish Hox a second chance. I can understand if you cook things fresh to order and then run out for the day, but that doesnt preclude decent customer service and having a kind attitude.

I am a southern girl from MS and I know good fried catfish when I taste it! I was quite impressed of how flavorable and how well seasoned their catfish was cooked! On the way home, getting off from work, passed by and thought to myself this would be the best time to try their food bc had planned on going a while back but never went. I ordered the catfish platter which came with 2 pcs of fish, fried okra and hushpuppies and I added the mac and cheese. I asked can I get the blackened catfish and other piece fried just so I can sample both. The cashier asked the cook (which I believe was the owner) and he agreed! It was sooo good yall. Think it averaged about $17 for everything. The portion size was satisfying.

Catfish always perfect sides are al a carte (at least when I went) didn’t like that, but the food is amazing and always fresh. Drive through only, lines move fast.

Catfish outstanding. Peach pie to die for. Sweat tea takes your breath away.red beans and rice without the sausage felt like home to me. Now here goes the issue that Mac and cheese was comparable to Memphis bbq Mac and cheese not good and not bad but need to be revised not enough cheese taste like salt only. I’m a big fan of Mac and cheese so it was a deal breaker for I expected Moore from them. I probably would try their food again maybe in 6 month. Hopefully they can improve on the Mac and cheese ( I take my Mac and cheese serious) even my 9 year old can do way better then that. But the rest was A1

The food was tasty the first time. However, the last two times I have been, the Catfish has been undercooked. The most recent time it was so undercooked everyone in our house had diarrhea and stomach pains.I wont be back because I dont trust the foid but I hope you get you situation figured out because the first time really was great.

I was hesitant to even post this review, for fear of contributing to one of my all-time favorite restaurants becoming too busy for me. This is, without hesitation, the best catfish Ive ever had, and one of my absolute favorite meals in years. The PoBoy is absolutely perfect. Cripsy, flavorful, tangy, delicious. The fries are wonderful. The remoulade sauce is heaven. I would enthusiastically lick that remoulade out of a rusty paint can. There is literally nothing I would change about this restaurant except for moving it into my subdivision. Catfish Hox deserves all the success they can stand. Definitely go try it out as soon as possible, but please dont fall in love the way I have. Im terribly jealous.

My husband brought me this restaurants food once and it is amazing however when I for the first time came to place an order I was not sure if they were closed after all I see people inside obviously working the ignorant immature high schooler with the bad attitude and Wendys restaurant bright red braids is costing you your business. Poor customer service horrible additude 🤡🤡. I wanted to ask a question and she asked why is someon at the drive thru loudly over and over to coworkers and gossiping as if she were clocked out. Minimum wage personalities and uneducated workers ruin good businesses!

I ordered the BBQ pork plate to go (as pictured). It didnt initially seem like a lot of food for a BBQ place. I think the tiny slaw and half piece of bread is what throws it off. After finishing it, Im full and the taste was pretty good. No sauce needed on the pork. There might be too much pepper for some folks though. Overall, easily 5 stars. Ill be back.

Tonight was my 3rd attempt at buying food here. 3 times in 6 weeks.. tonight- no wings, no fried green tomatoes, last time- no corn, no catfish, first time- no fries, no mac & chz. Then Im stuck in a drive thru with no order bc they dont have what they promote. Waste of 30 minutes & still hungry. I wont be trying again.They didnt send me a message. Just saying.

Did a call for takeout, and they had my food ready within 15 minutes. Im a first-timer and I am blown away. Best tangy slaw. Best tangy pork bbq. Amazing blackened catfish.Theyre letting excellent food be food, without a gimmick. And it was dirt cheap. New fave.

This place was awful! I’m from Tennessee and was excited to try this spot, but let me tell you, OVER RATED! It was bland, no seasonings at all, the catfish was undercooked and bland and so was the okra. The only thing I enjoyed was the hush puppies. Don’t waste your money or time! Captain D’s is better than this place.

The food here is amazing! I had the catfish po boy with fried okra on the side. The okra was phenomenal, perfectly seasoned and cooked to a delicious golden brown. The service was outstanding and the environment was warm, friendly, and inviting. I will definitely be back to eat at this location again as soon as I get the chance! I got the hushpuppies, fish tacos and smoked wings. There was no taste to the fish in the tacos which was fried far too hard and chewy like it had been microwaved, someone forgot to put the corn tortillas on the fire to warm them and the wings were burnt with no seasoning other than the taste of the grill. Now the hushpuppy were good. They serve better fish tacos at 3dollar cafe. The tacos here at catfish box can use a zesty sauce and a grilled or blackened fish option because the fried is not good. Just my experience.

Fried catfish is great, as is the pulled pork. Remoulade served with catfish excellent. Pimento cheese (on toast) seemed a bit heavy on the cream cheese. Hush puppies on the small side, but delicious. The service was top-notch.

Love the food, its awesome southern cooking, all homemade with great sauces too. Clearly the owner takes pride in his craft. Love that the food is fresh and not too heavy, which southern food can have a tendency of. Great stuff, well deserving of the reviews.

The food was delicious the catfish with seasoned very well I went with my father on September 11th 2020 and we sat outside as they have the doors locked due to covid-19. The staff was very very friendly

Cozy place, great coffee, wonderful service. We had catfish and waffle with coffee, and a daily special trio of catfish/BBQ/wings. The specials are always great! The okra was perfect and the catfish crispy. They were cooking chicken outside in their big green egg and it smelled amazing. There are a couple of tables outside that we love.

I had planned to go to the Sushi place next door but accidentally entered this one. The food is very delicious and service so good! Love the gumbo and catfish. Chicken soup is hot and tasty too, though I would prefer low sodium version of Chicken soup for my parents. Highly recommended!

Best catfish I have ever tasted! Im stuffed... kept eating anyway because it was so good! Also Shared the Pork Rind Nachos and an order of Fried Green Tomatoes.. super yummy! The pork rinds are prepared fresh for your order... still crackling when they reach your table.I dont know why it took me so long to eat there but it wont be long before we go back.

The food was excellent some of the best cat fish Ive had in a long time, but the waiting staff sucked. I asked 4 different staff members for a glass of water before I finally got it. Improve your staff and I would gladly rate 5 *👍.

Love this place! Discovered them during COVID-19 on GrubHub and have been obsessed since. The catfish is delicious! I’ve ordered it blackened and fried and both are so good! Their hush puppies are my absolute favorite that I’ve tried anywhere. I can’t stop eating them. Also love the Mac & Cheese and sweet tea and creme brûlée when they have it. The remoulade they serve with the catfish is amazing too. Highly recommend giving this place a try. Look forward to dining in once the COVID situation is over.

Extremely attentive, friendly service. Clean, low-key decor inside; surprisingly nice outdoor seating. Prices are on the higher end for a casual/family restaurant, but for the quality & portion size, not unreasonable. The catfish is good, but the smoked chicken is SPECTACULAR! Many different dessert offerings. Very good red velvet cake, but the cheesecake is too sweet. I would definitely go back.

Fantastic experience! We were greeted by a friendly and professional hostess who knew the menu well. We ordered our food, sat down, and enjoyed our drinks while engaged in a friendly conversation with the hostess. Food came quickly, piping hot, and it was delicious! The burger was perfectly cooked, tender, juicy, and everything you would expect of a great burger. Peach pie made in house was the dessert we chose, and it was also wonderful. We will absolutely be coming back.

Wasnt impressed...catfish had a nice crunch but also had no flavor. For 12 bucks you would think you would get more than a tiny plastic cup of coleslaw to go with your meal. Biggest chunks of cabbage Ive ever seen in a slaw and definitely not the best flavored. Service was good.

Came to the restaurant really excited but was sadly disappointed. The deco was very basic. Service was nice. Had the fried green tomatoes but the corn meal kept falling off. I ordered the half smoked chicken and it was very dry. The skin was crispy but not in a good way. The tater tots were good and so were the hush puppies and fried okra. Which isnt good if your frozen food is better then the meats. The price for it wasnt worth it. Will not go again.

Delicious fried food. Catfish, okra, fried green tomatoes and hush puppies. We dined in on a Friday night, no wait to sit but a little wait for the food to come out correctly. I would recommend getting less fried food, all of it at once was over kill but it was all tasty. Also my son had macaroni and cheese from the kids menu and it was some of the best Ive ever tasted.

FANTASTIC! Stopped on a Thursday and lucky for me they have a special on Thursday’s - “Trio”. You don’t have to decide between Catfish, pulled pork or wings because they have all 3 on a platter with hush puppies and slaw. I give ALL 5 STARS! Highly recommend and I will be back!! Oh and owned by a Veteran (small business owner) ....continued (after I got my bill) and A GREAT VALUE! My TRIO with a TEA was only $13.78. Lots of food for that price. I WILL BE BACK!

Outstanding!! First timer yesterday and the catfish was pure perfection. As were the hush puppies and smoked wings I had to sample. Couldnt be happier to have found this gem. Oh and the customer service OUTSTANDING. Ill be back. Again and again and again.
