Saw an ad online and it look interesting so I thought to look here. If the vicious and Karen-esque replies to anything critical didn’t set off the alarms the ‘vigorously figuring out who dared to leave bad feedback and let’s air out all the laundry’ content from the owner sure did. Note to the owner: if you’re gonna have paid ads, probably don’t create a bad pr image here. The reply validates the aforementioned review
Not a good experience. The lady is high maintenance, lacks focus and structure, and to top it off she is passive aggressive. If you ask a question or seem unsure about something she thinks you should know, she gives you unprofessional attitude. The place is a mess. She has a dog and that is cute and all until its not. Dog barks a lot, when people walk into the class and then calms down eventually. She rammbles on and on about stuff that is not even pertinent sometimes. I actually found myself excited about not going. I only went to 2 of the classes and then I blissfully didnt return to that fiasco! I DO NOT recommend this! Especially if you are a beginner.
Very disappointed in owner and services. I called for some information on something I wanted done. Owner was extremely rude and versus trying to assist me or offer suggestions she stated what I was looking for was something I should learn to do myself! I think this is a great business to offer to the area, however I will never support this business. There is no reason to be rude, rush someone off the phone. She should have used this opportunity to talk about services/classes she offers and see if that was something I was interested in. Like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman...Big Mistake, Hugh!!!!.
Just wrapped up an 8 week Beginning Metalsmithing course & absolutely LOVED it! Not only is Dana (pronounced Dan-ah) a fantastic instructor, shes also really entertaining (not that she goes out of her way to be, its just part of her charming personality). She has a knack for making technical instructions easy to understand & fun to learn. I had the privilege of taking the class with 5 other ladies & 1 guy (all from really different backgrounds who had different motivations for being there) who I really enjoyed working side-by-side with every week. We learned how to fabricate a pair of dangle earrings & ear wires, a cuff bracelet that involved sawing/piercing a design into the metal, a bangle bracelet, & everyones favorite, a ring with stone setting. The studio is located near the Big Chicken off Cobb Pkwy in a really cool artist community youd never know was even there. I went back & forth for a year before deciding to take this class & now I cant wait to go back for another 8 weeks to build upon the fundamentals I just learned. Thanks Dana, Ill see you & Ollie (the studio dog) again soon!
High-energy and knowledgeable; a well-used jewelers studio. Any true creatives would feel right at home walking through the door.
Their phone has been off for over a week. I emailed them to confirm a spot in a course I have been very excited to take. I asked for them to confirm their address (since I wasn’t able to get into contact with them) and I received a very rude email back.
I took the beginners class earlier this year. Dana is super sweet and I learned a lot in the course. She definitely knows her stuff. However, there were many times in the class where she would get distracted and talk to people about their personal lives or something off topic when I and others had questions and needed help with our projects, especially when it involved the gas torches or dangerous machinery. I didn’t feel welcome to ask questions.
My fiancé and I took a wedding band workshop today, and it was so awesome!!!! Dana was such a patient and informative teacher. I learned so much, and we came away with two beautiful rings!
Ms. Dana is so much fun! Took the beginners class in Oct and truly learned so much. She will teach you great skills to build off of. Making the bezel ring was my favorite. Totally worth it.
Ring making class was interesting but overcrowded, unfortunately instructor really struggled with communication and appropriate language skills. Would not recommend.
