Just went to the new location in Marion and I have to say, the new building is fantastic! I loved the old location and they somehow made the new one even nicer. The drinks they serve have been and still are always delicious. I also just bought a bag of beans (Guatemala roast) from them to make at home, and it is without a doubt the best cup of coffee I have ever made. One of, if not the best coffee shop in the area!

Great ambience. Really great coffee and Lattes. I had a sugar free dark chocolate latte and it was great.Prices are a tiny bit high but its also an independent coffee shop with high end drinks so... Not complaining there.

Best place in the region for coffee. Their pour-over is jet fuel.

WoW! I have found a new favorite place. So sad that it is an hour away from my home, but that wont stop me from coming back.I love the atmosphere and the coffee was DELICIOUS. She brewed and blended my special request and it did not disappoint. Love finding little gems like this.

My husband and I travel the country for our business and always try to find good coffee on our route. We cannot love this place more! The coffee is good, the baristas are very experienced, the environment is warm and friendly, the building is gorgeous, and the location is fantastic. Marion is a beautiful small town and this coffee company is the perfect business for this up and coming spot on the map.

While my wife and I lived in IL, this was our favorite coffee place. Much better than any Starbucks or chain coffee bar. My wife and I would often come in just to sit and read while basking in the coffee shop ambiance, and sip on a mocha (or two). The staff were always kind, and a few of them knew my face, name, and order. Whenever we end up back in the area, this will be one of our first stops.The mug in the picture is the only piece of crown brew I was able to take with me. By far my favorite mug!

Crown Brew is like a page out of a book, its unique, the atmosphere is soft and friendly, the glass lighting bulbs seem to float like in a fairytale.First off in the review that I want to address, is that the staff are incredible. They are more than just some friendly faces to greet you and take your card, they are authentic and genuinely want to know how your day went and will spend time talking with you if you give them the chance. They talk, sing along to the music, clean their space, dont hover. They are trained in the art of coffee + tea and compassion. Thank you Crown Brew team for making real talk, its changed my day for the better and I leave the place with a smile on my face behind the mask.Onto the rest, the location is great, a bit of a drive for me since I reside in Carbondale. The place is spotless and clean, the staff clean up each table after someone leaves, there are two a unisex washrooms with good lighting and lots of space. The music is tasteful and a bit loud but they turned it down for me when it was less busy. They have good hours and are closed on Sunday just like Chick-fil-A... sadly.The coffee and loose leaf tea is delicious. They are very accommodating and will tweak the drink to your perfection. They have alternatives for the milk. They recently started selling scones and other baked goods. There is a detailed menu that is on a clipboard! So you dont have to squint your eyes to a wall. There is merchandise and they sell the coffee in packaging.The con in my opinion is that I miss the artwork on the walls. It was pleasant to look at when you are waiting on the coffee to be made or didnt want to catch someones eye awkwardly.The most important part of this review is that they keep up with covid regulations and inforce masks. They have spread out seating and have hand-sanitizer at the register.They keep up with their news and social media, if you ask for a pen to borrow or want a water to go with your super strong coffee, they give it. This is a local shop that I always tip to when I am financially able to. I hope that this review helps others to understand what Crown Brew strives for. They have a strong community for a reason.

I try to make a stop in Marion (from Carbondale) at LEAST once a week for an oat milk latte and a blueberry scone, it’s my favorite breakfast in the region!

A local coffee shop with a big community impact. These guys find a way to be a part of almost any event or space they can. Outside of the shop itself they can be found at the farmers market and local college which makes them very accessible. The pourover only approach means you will not be able to get quick coffee but it is worth it. Single origin roasts are flavorful and hit the right profiles you expect for where they are from. That said only of their popular options is the most questionable.People here love their coldbrew but it is not a proper coldbrew. They use their Guatemala roast for the coldbrew which as a light to medium roast accentuates the naturally sour flavors of that bean. In a hot coffee the acidity can lift that sourness to create a bright note that balances the smokiness of Guatemalan beans and imitates an almost chocolate like flavor. In cold brew it loses that acidity and underextracts that key flavor leading to a sour and slightly smoky brew. Since most people will use the cold brew as essentially a replacement for espresso here and mix it with milk and flavored syrups there are few who would care. If youre here for a black iced coffee or clean cold brew youll be best served elsewhere until they switch to a darker roast or opt for an alternative light bean like a Costa Rican.TL;DR - Stick to hot coffee and enjoy the atmosphere. The cold brew isnt perfected yet.

Does not exist. Drove to location and there is no signage or sign of business. The interior windows are covered in plastic sheeting. Wish I would have known before exiting interstate in search of it.

Rivals coffee shops in Portland and Nashville!I love the flight option. Try all the things you want to without hurting your stomach or your wallet. Wonderful music, comfy seating, clean restrooms, and delightful and knowledgeable baristas. Worth your time!

I love Crown Brew and its team a lot! You feel like you are in your second home there. Lovely place and atmosphere and wonderful coffee. I drive 3 hours every two weeks only to go there and have some quality time, coffee and company!

I am not sure how this place exists in such a small town. This is by far the greatest coffee shop Ive ever been to.Great decor and atmosphere, calm music exposed brick, tall ceilings, shiplap accent walls.Coffee is pour over which is ground and made in front of you. You cant get more fresh than that. Service is quick and friendly.Its worth going out of the way to see.

An insane diamond in the rough found in downtown Carterville. First, the coffee and other drinks are delicious. The ambiance is great and is a great use of an old industrial style building. The other businesses attached to Crown (Irons in the Fire and Live Simply Boutiques) are an added bonus.

Great Place, Open & welcoming inside. Service is excellent. You have to wait a little since each cup in brewed individually but it is worth the wait. Great Coffee. If you want to go have a cup of coffee with a friend and relax and enjoy the experience this is a good choice.

Super friendly staff that is happy to help you choose the perfect drink. Keep in mind that this is not Starbucks and you have to ask for a SWEET drink if thats what you want. Very trendy shop to sit and drink your coffee or browse the stores next door for unique items.

The people are friendly and always willing to help me when Im indecisive about my drink choices. The seasonal tumeric rosemary lattes is one of my favorites along with the year-round honey drop lattes. They have MORE THAN COFFEE! They also offer loose leaf teas and lemonades.

Crowon Brew Coffee moved to Marion! They just broke up the partnership between them, the place is completely different, the owner of the building in Carterville is now the one who runs the shop under a new name and with the help of her daughter and son. The decor has no innovation or anything special, rather than more causual tables and the chairs are as if you are in an old shop from 80s and there is no feeling of consiness or warmth. There are not enough electricity plugs, Charming paintings disappeared from the place! I understand that it is a new store and it has an error rate from young employees, but even the coffee was cold and I asked for other one again, I hope the owner of the coffee shop is to repair the shop as soon as possible before losing many of the shops customers! Especially since she owns an antique shop, she just needs better décor, better chairs and of course the best coffee! Just redo as Crowon Brew Coffee decore did! As much as I love Crown Brew coffee, I wont go to Marion as I am from Carbondale.In general: I feel very disappointed!

My wife is from Carterville and she had been following Crown Brew on Instagram for awhile so we decided to stop in when we were in town. It was fantastic. I had a vanilla latte and my wife had the turtle latte. We browsed the shop, and the shop next door... and I snuck back to try an espresso crafted on the manual press. It also was amazing.My wife was impressed enough that she stalked them all the way to the Marion Farmers Market before a work trip to buy a drink and a growler to take home.Stop in and support these people. Theyre doing great things, and making great coffee.
