Come here frequently with my boyfriend Dezeron & legit love this place! Never disappointed when we leave, everytime we come, even when we don’t make a purchase we enjoy going in and talking with them all! They truly care about every visitor and make you feel welcome and comfortable. I usually get intimidated when going in gun stores but not here, would choose this place over every gun and ammo store any day! Highly recommend to everyone to check it out

One of the Best Gun stores in Iowa. I live bout 1-1/2hr away..but frequently make the trip to Black Dog for one of the Best selection of guns & fair pricing. Tons of accessories. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable!! Highly recommended shopping here!!

Super nice, Super helpful, Carry shooter lube which is nice. Its the only store that does. Selection is better than most other even bigger stores, which is funny to me. OH AND YOU CAN NOT FORGET THE DOGGO. They have a beautiful newfie that just loves to say hi. My go to for FFL transfers.

Have you ever gone into a gun store and felt out of place? I have, at 2 other local shops. When I first got my permit to carry I was looking for a reliable, dependable gun that was affordable because I work outside for a living and sweat a lot. I went into another shop in Marion and felt out of place right away, and I was told that I should buy a Glock because Glocks are the best. So I walked out without buying a gun because I didnt have $550 on me that day. Thats when I found Black Dog Guns. From the moment I walked in the door I felt welcome and right at home. Marcy asked what I was looking for and pointed me towards a Ruger LC9s. It worked perfect for what I wanted, and I walked out with it that day. Since that first day last year, Ive purchased 9 other firearms from her and have sent everyone I know to black dog. And since that first day, you wont see me without my Black Dog hat on. No matter what you are looking for, Black Dog has something for everyone, from a reliable G2C budget gun to a Cz Shadow race gun, to a .22 single shot for your kids first gun, they have it.

Ive made a number of purchases here (several pistols, upper, ammo, etc.) and have always had a great experience. Ownership is absolutely wonderful and provides honest and mostly unbiased feedback (their preference matters too!) Selection maybe a tad small since theyre still a relatively new company, but they never really disappoint. My only complaint is that in the time I have been in the shop, I have not met their Black Dog.

I even found a really unique mace that is more functional than the cheap ones at the store and it still wasnt that expensive. A really nice gun shop. They have various assortment of quality new firearms that other dealers in the vicinity do not carry. Plus, they do firearms transfers from other FFL dealers in other states (I.e. GunBroker, Palmetto State Armory, Classic Firearms, etc.,) The transfer fee is only $20. If you have a ammunition requests, they will order it in as well. The owners are very pleasant and are a pleasure to do business with.
