I went to buy a helmet during lunch time. After signing in, a guy took me to helmet section. I said it is for motorcycle and which one is good. He said I dont know. He showed me the helmets are on discount. I asked if XS is fit for me as I have no idea about the brand. He said I dont know.I tried a XS but too tight. I asked if S is better? He said I dont know and no S in the discount section. I asked how about M size? He said Maybe loose but I dont know. When I decided to buy a M size, he took me to cashier and another guy was on the phone. He told me to wait for that guy as he is not responsible for helmet and left. Then, I looked around and another lady came out to serve me.After paying, I wanted to leave and found there were 2 lines to block the entrance. I understand it is to stop the customers and they must sign in. However, I think the staffs must help the customers to remove the line when they want to leave. It is the basic customer service. Eventually, I have to cross the line by myself to leave!!During the whole purchasing experience, if the owner thinks it is an acceptable customer service, sorry, not for me!!
Our firm has been servicing and purchasing generators here for over a decade. Long story short, we had two generators, one 2000 and 3000 (Australian generator) that we had trouble starting. We brought them in to be looked at and both times they told us that the the engine has lost compression and were better off purchasing a new one. Based on their advice we purchased a new generator. We then took these junk generators, and fixed both of them in-house. One had a bad spark plug and the other one needed its carb cleaned/adjusted. After we fixed these generators ourselves, we then took them into another Honda dealer, and had them confirm that there is nothing wrong with the generators. What an absolute disappointment Markham Outdoor Power has been, throwing out more than 10 years of customer loyalty over, either a poorly trained technician or just trying to make a quick buck. Short of reimbursing us for the new generator we purchased on their advice and the service fee they charged us for their false diagnosis, they have lost our business. We are choosing to service our equipment an hour away to not have to deal with them.My advice is, if you have to buy parts and this is close to you, knock yourself out. If youre going to do a big purchase or do servicing, do yourself a favour, get back in your vehicle and drive 30-40 minutes in either direction, and find another Honda dealer.Update: I have changed my rating from 1 star to 4 stars, based on the fact that the owner personally reached out to us after this review. He sounded like a genuinely nice individual that cared about his customers satisfaction, and he gave us his personal cell# to contact him if we are ever concerned about the service we are receiving. The gentleman went out of his way to follow-up on our feedback and I believe that deserves a change to my initial rating.
Very friendly staff. Very helpful and accomodating.
DO NOT COME TO HERE, you’re NOT welcome, DO NOT touch anything, they need sanitize them, that’s not their job, DO NOT walk around, DO NOT look anything if you don’t want to buy it. It’s TERRIBLE experience in this store, bye Honda motorcycle, NEVER COME TO HERE.
Great people, great service, amazing prices!
Ive gotten a few parts from this place and was generally happy with the products but the lady that works at the parts desk is extremely rude. Ive read some of the reviews here and see Im not the only one that thinks so.
Gone there with the intention to buy. No customer service what so ever unless they want youre attention, mainly(caucasian) that they treat well. Boiling down to if I would even come back to this Honda is a NO. Thank you for making this experience great. Thanks Markham Honda but you need train your staff including the owner again.Edit. Clearly Im not happy with the service at all. Im ok with waiting for a sales associate if your busy, but not ok with acts of racism. No one was even interested in helping. I also had service done on one of my other bikes(new tires) when finished. Riding it hitting 110km the whole bike starts wobbling. Thats a accident waiting to happen and lucky the rider was not injured. Call you guys back and said its not out problem... Wont even take into consideration that it was a mechanic fault or check up and will not take it in for inspection. Beyond frustrated as there is no words to describe this kind of work.
Great dealership! Excellent customer service!Purchased a 2020 Honda HRN216VYC lawnmower and couldnt be more pleased with it, and the service provided during the purchase. Dan and the staff there are the best!Highly recommend Markham Outdoor Powersports.
This dealer is outstanding! Prompt service, professional and courteous staff. Ive purchased 2 snowblowers and 3 motorcycles from Dan & Chris over the last 15 years and every experience is simply spot on.Parts and Service is also exemplary. I strongly recommend this store to anyone in the market for Honda powersport and power equipment products.Top Notch!!
Took my 2012 Honda cbr125 to get it safety certificate. They took a look and told me what I needed. Next thing you know my motorcycle ran better when I first got it. Friendly service, knowledge and thanks to the crew at markham outdoor power for putting new tires brake pads and clutch plates. and special thanks to Corey hope to ride with you in the future. Ride safe
Super friendly staff, clean, and the best Honda dealer in town. Highly recommend if you are looking for a Honda product or service you owe it to yourself to come check it out.
I purchased my first motorcycle at this Dealership and have regretted it ever since, people that are employed here are comfortable, unmotivated, lazy and afraid to work.I drove my motorcycle over this morning to speak with a mechanic because Ive been hearing odd noises from the engine. After explaining this to one of their senior employees he says to me: mechanics are busy, so I replied: you cant tell me anything? he then says: no, which I followed with thank you and left the store. So thank you again to whoever you are because youve encouraged me to research this concern and handle it myself.Im never stepping foot in this dealership again.Cheers!
Not a single person was smiling in the entire dealership. The lady in parts is extremely rude. Overall experience in the dealership was brief but miserable. Not going back there again.
SHELLY in service was AWSOME!! Very experienced and great customer service skills!! Great place for all your motorcycle needs! THANK YOU 👍🏾
I used to use a cheap small mower for my lawn and finally decided to step up to not only something better, but the best. The sales folks at Markham Outdoor Power were no only friendly, but also very helpful and knowledgeable. I was able to place a deposit over the phone this morning and my mower was all setup and ready for pickup shortly after. I ended up getting the Honda HRN216VKC mower and am so happy with it. I highly recommend this store for both the sales and services they provide!
Excellent products and customer services
Maybe the worst RIP off place in Canada......they tell u need new parts when the part was replaced a month ago etc stay away
Spoke to parts person and wanted head gasket and piston/pin/clips and ring and side left cover. So she calls the rocker/valve cover the head gasket called and spoke to her she says it’s call the base gasket not a head gasket . So I said why would you not get me the gasket kit when I’m doing the piston and ring she replied and said I did not asked for base gasket . Just wondering why would they keep a person like that to serve if she has no clue about part .
The Honda team can’t even change of Grom tire properly......They’ve lost me and my friends business. The hole shop Amateurs :::
The service was great !Even through these trying timesMike P was very helpful answered all the questions I had ... and I bought my bike !Keep up the great work !
Purchased a pair of Michelin tires for my Kawasaki Ninja last year. Great service from Mr. Lawrence and the price was very reasonable.
Glens an awesome guy. Even when he knew he didnt have what I was looking for he did his best to help me out. I mustve called 30 places before getting some real help. 10/10 would give this shop my business any time I could.
Super friendly, very knowledgeable, and 100% genuine. Great selection of all things Honda, and good, old fashioned customer service. Once you become a customer at MOP, youll stay one because youll remember what it feels like to be treated like your business is actually appreciated.
Bad service and no smile. Very bad shopping experience. We spend money here, but we don’t get the professional and patient service. We will not recommend friends to come.
This place is great. Everyone says hello, you can look around without harassment, and the staff are always willing to help. I had a safety inspection done there recently. I was told before hand that all the schedule slots were taken up for about a week but they would try to fit it in. I got a call a couple days later that it was done. Appreciate the effort and up front honesty about how long it could take worst case. Its also good to note that the bike I brought in passed safety as expected and I wasnt asked to frivolously change out a tire or something to make it pass. I had a previous experience where I took a 70s CB350 to them to get it running. It was going to be a project for me but I wanted a head start. The mechanics were really up front and honest with how much work they thought it might need, and the potential for surprises. Id definitely go back here. Esp if I had a Honda.
Nice people. Very knowledgeable
My husband brought my Honda motorcycle to get safety done (about 2-ish months ago) and not only did the bike not pass the safety because of a loud exhaust and something else so unreasonable, the spare key they gave me doesnt even work properly after a few uses. To pass the safety was another $500+ fix up. $150 went down the drain for nothing (spare key is now useless as well) and I paid another $120 to have someone else pass the safety. My suggestion is ask around first before bringing it to the actual dealership; labor, the fact that its being done at Honda etc really adds up to the cost. Just pure frustration.
I bought 2 honda dirt bikes for the kids as well as head to toe protective gear. Dan (I believe hes the owner) was great to deal with. Offered suggestions on how to save a few bucks on the gear and knew his stuff inside and out. Great place for anything Honda.
I went today for my CB1000R 2018 oil change and service. Chris, service manager was very helpful and professional. Also part and accessories sales person, he was very kind and helped me on purchasing few items. In general Im very satisfied of my today visit.
It is awesome to be able to make an appointment that gets your work all done in one day! The staff is all very nice and knowledgeable! The offering of while you wait oil changes on Wednesdays and Thursdays is also really great.
Dropped by last Saturday to look at some helmets. Ended up buying a Honda t-shirt instead. Knowledgeable staff, great products, thanks again!
Thanks Al :) Thanks for taking me under your wing and putting up with my ****. I still aspire to be as sharp as you and will continue to do the best I can be. You set my standards.People: THERE IS NO SUBSTITUTE FOR EXPERIENCE!
I bought my CBR1000RR at this dealership years ago. And the process was painless. I was given a great price, too. I always treat people with respect. And Ive gotten that back 10-fold from the staff at Markham Outdoor Power. Mechanics Adam and Al are pros, too.
I bought a Honda Africa Twin from Markham Outdoor Power.Sales people were absolutely fantastic, friendly and helpful.I also dealth were service department and they were really friendly and gave me good advice on how to maintain my bike.
Went for my 1st service on my cb300f here. The gentleman helping me at the service department was really nice and helpful. The place has a decent collection of Honda bikes. At least one of each model. They have a decent selection of apparel as well. It just feels a little tight on the space. They have a nice outdoor seating area but I also wish they have seats inside if the weather is not so kind or I really dont want to be out in the sun.
Knowledgeable, friendly, helpful folks. I ordered my bike and they brought it in exactly when they said they would. Definitely not hard sell kind of place. Infact, as a newbie, I could have used more advice at times.
The service staff is great but asked the manager a question regarding different motorcycle models and couldn’t even get off his butt to help and was rude with his response as well (if you don’t know the answer having a sarcastic response isn’t the answer). You work in a service industry, key word being service.
Definitely one of the ruder retailers Ive dealt with. Seems like all these family owned and operated businesses have forgotten that the one thing they have that big online retailers dont is the ability to provide personalized and friendly experiences. Many other powersports dealers are getting that and offering great customer service...
Place is convenient and a good amount of product. I went here to purchase 2 motorcycle helmets, a jacket, and some other accessories. they have a large selection of Honda products and staff are knowledgeable. not bad of a place. alot of products needs to be ordered in.
The owner is the worst, doesnt know what hes talking about and rude on top of it all... Will never be back here again, Snow City is way better and only about 15 min away definitely worth the drive. Incompetence at its finest over here.
Chris and the whole service team worked diligently to ensure my concern was resolved quickly and without drama. Excellent experience and definitely recommended.
Awesome. Took the bike in for first service and everything was solid. They were finished under the projected time and hanging out chatting with the other riders and checking out the showroom bikes was a good way to kill the time. Doesnt hurt that they have the deck chairs out front! Great experience, will be back.
Absolutely love this place. Their customer service is on point. They really take the time and listen. I will always be buying my Honda motorcycles from these guys!!!
Ive only ever deal with their parts people, but they have been awesome. Im personally into older hondas and the also make me feel welcome and want to help.
Great place to get Honda products, honest and friendly staff. Excellent stock of motorcycles and power equipment so you rarely have to wait for them to order it in.
Good service and sales
Well friendly staff, impressed with products and services Ive received.
Very bad service! We bought a lawn mower and a set of versAttach, so we need two Nippon oil. Spoke to the parts person, She is so so so unfriendly and rude. No patience at all!
Nice showroom. Knowledgeable staff. Prices about the same as anywhere else. Cant complain.
Exceptional customer service! The sales team has incredible product knowledge and there was absolutely no pressure tactics. This is the way buying a motorcycle should be!
Was a great experience, staff knowledgeable and friendly. Was a great transaction and will be looking forward to doing future business with them.
Best staff and service I have seen and experienced anywhere within the GTA. Theyve always gone the extra mile to ensure excellent service, given needed advice and helped me. I highly recommend them. Have bought my bikes, accessories, gotten service and gear without any issues. Thank you Chris and Dan for all your help and advice.
Been coming here for over five years to get product, parts, and service on my bike. Great service, great people. Couldnt ask for more in a shop. Their on-floor accessory lineup is good for the size of shop, but thats not their main gig so its fine.
I went to Markham Outdoor Power with my motorcycle which has been in an accident. They received it, and I requested a quote on how much will the repairs cost... this of course all payed with lots of money just to look at it. When they called me to take the motorcycle back, it had obvious vital parts that were missing. I asked where are the parts and the mechanic looked at me and said that the motorcycle never came with those parts in the shop or I lost them when I crashed. This was a big lie. I dont have any witnesses to prove it, but when I crashed the bike and I brought it to the shop and I remember which parts were where. I cannot believe a Honda Motorcycle Dealer decides this kind of actions. I was disgusted. I will never set foot in that dealership again.
Visited MOP Aug 2019. Took my Honda Fury wheels to get new tires mounted and balanced. This is a no brainer 4 me as Ive known the owner for well over 20 years and I know what good service is.... As usual a great job and I wanted the OEM factory weighs Installed for looks as well as wheel centering line mounting. Perfect balance at any speed including WOT. You have experience and youth plus in between at this dealer thats what its all about. Ride on Dudes & Dudetts!
Great service but small location, limited options in all categories
Moderate selection and uninteresting sales people who appear to be equally uninterested in their jobs. Its OK but other than used bikes its only Honda and theyve been going down hill for a while now. If youre looking for better selection and service look no further than Snow City Cycle.
Bought a all Honda lawnmower here. amazing customer service. Lawnmower came fully assembled already with gas and oil “good to go” lawnmower operates with ease 1 pull start up. They sell honda weed wackers, atv, motorcycles and much more
Nice, friendly staff who seem to be sincere. I started coming here with my BMW, even though they are Honda dealers. Now that I have a Goldwing, I trust them.
Ive bought 5 bikes at MOP since 2004 and every time I was dealt with in a courteous and professional manner. Same goes for their service department and the experienced and competent mechanics that have serviced my bikes over the years. If youre looking for a Honda, MOP is a no brainer!
Poor customer service. On the other hand, parts staff very friendly and helpful.
Honda dealership but not helpful salespeople. Service is helpful but technicians are not. If you have to buy Honda parts they are a source, otherwise, go elsewhere ☹️
Solid dealership. Everytime I walk in someone always asks if I need help with anything. Keep in mind they are a Honda specific dealership, so dont bring your Yamaha expecting something to happen on the spot. If you need a brand-new mower, timmer, boat motor, ATV or motorcycle cant go wrong here.
Did a fantastic job on my 12k service! Its not often you find a dealer you can trust, but I feel no problem giving them my keys.
I highly recommend the staff at Markham Outdoor Power. They are honest, straightforward and a pleasure to deal with. The salesperson I dealt with was Chris & he went above and beyond.
I have bought 2 new hondas from Markham outdoor in the past 2 years. going for my third this year, and I must say, what a pleasurable relationship these people offer their customers. everyone there, no exceptions, is the best at what they do..thanks
Great selection of Honda motorcycles and gear in general. The staff are also friendly and eager to help, I enjoyed my weekend shopping experience.
Super fast service and relaxed employees. No one pushes for any sales commission and I even got a discount once for a service.
Very friendly and helpful staff, did a service here on my bike, was done quickly. Staff also helped me choose my helmet and gloves. Pretty cool shop with tons of Honda bikes, dirtbikes, scooters, jackets, boots etc.
Service is disgusting I have dealt with them plenty of times. Manager is not knowledgeable or polite. He instructed me on which part I needed, once I had the ATV taken apart. I realized he had given me the wrong part I hadn’t even opened it yet it was still in original Honda package he wouldn’t allow me to return or exchange for proper part. So I got stuck paying $60 and another $60 for the right part which I ended up finding myself. Bottom line the employees are not knowledgeable or helpful! On top of that have had them give me the wrong oil filters and washers multiple times and have had to drive back. There are only a few Honda ATV filters In the first place and with the vin really no excuse for multiple mistakes...Update: Owner called me to discuss my review, I expressed what my concerns were with the staff I had encountered. As soon as he learnt is was his son who treated me poorly and wouldn’t except the un-opened part in exchange for the right one he had no interest in talking and actually hung up the phone on me!
Staff are very helpful, and the prices are very reasonable for OEM and aftermarket parts or accessories. Ive come here for several years now and have never been disappointed!
Attempted multiple times throughout the week to call and book an oil change for my motorcycle. Nobody picks up the phone. Arrived before they opened on Friday morning and hoped they could squeeze me in (just an oil change). At 9am when they finally opened, they told me they could maybe get me in around 11am. They then tell me they offer first come first served service on Wednesday and Thursday only. Would have been nice to have that information over the phone or in the website somewhere. I was the only person there and they couldnt just bang off a quick service to keep a customer happy. Now theyve lost a customer for life and I guess Ill have to go all the way to Barrie Honda. Since theres so few Honda powerhouses available and none close to me, Ive wasted 2 hours riding there and back home, still havent serviced my bike and now think Ill just sell it since its so difficult to get an appointment. Thanks for nothing.
We had a great Daytona Days open house. Thanks to everyone who attended. It was wonderful to see old friends and new customers. Thanks to the Goldwing Touring Association for running the charity BBQ. We raised over $ 200.00 for charity.Hope to see everyone at our Come Ride Day on May 7,2016
Good for two wheelers & riding accessories
Great service at competitive prices. Hard to find good Honda service so this is a great resource for motorcycle owners.
I would give a big thumbs up to Chris Lawrence, General Manager at Markham Outdoor Power. I bought my CBR from him, he has always been courteous and was easy to do business with. The post sale follow-up was awesome and he actually called to check if everything was alright with my motorcycle. I live in the west end of GTA, but I dont mind making the ride to Markham for my service. Keep up the good work Chris, Dan and the entire team.
Started with smiles and awesome service, quickly turned into dis-communication and avoideness on behalf of the team as soon as I decided to go with someone else. Had to go in a couple of different times to retrieve my cheque. Literally avoiding emails and EYE CONTACT, very SNOB. Weird experience- worst costumer service.
Great selection and helpful staff. Went in today to pick up an order but got there after closing. One of the staff saw us and was still able to help us out! Will go again!
I found Parts guys very helpful and accommodating. Ordered parts for my 10 year old motorcycle. Even open until 8 on Wednesdays which made it easier to pick up.
The staff is extremely personable, highly knowledgeable, and unhesitatingly helpful. I got a fantastic bike at an unbelievable price, and the after-sale support has been excellent.
Rude, poor service. These folks dont need your business and they arent afraid to let you know by how they treat you. Very poor tone with the person on the phone. Asking for a oil change sometime this week, you would have thought I was asking them for a free motorcycle!!! Ill take my expendable income elsewhere. Thanks guys.
Ive only used them for parts and service. Ive never had anything short of excellent customer service.
Always helpful and get the parts I need quickly.
I always love this shop. The people are so nice and only 30 mins for my booked oil change.
Bought a bike there. Staff not friendly or helpful. I dislike going to that place, but theyre convenient
Great service department. Always do a great job with my bike.
Bought a used motorcycle from them, the whole team there was friendly and helpful, thank-you.
Great service and went above and beyond. Thanks guys
Had an issue that got resolved in a helpful and professional way.
Good service in person. If you try to call though, they wont give you straight answer
Thanks to the staff and great service. The spark plugs solved all my bikes running issues.
Been dealing with them for years. Good people.
I have been a customer of Markham Outdoor Power for over a year now, having serviced my V Star and purchasing product from this dealer. Each time I have visited, I have been treated fairly and received great service and advice. The staff have always been helpful, knowledgable and friendly. I recently traded in my V Star and purchased a Goldwing F6B. Jerry Lawrence who sold me the F6B was knowledgable, patient and easy to deal with. He and Dan answered all my questions and worked out a fair deal. Thanks guys for making this purchase a fun experience!
Limited varieties, but can get bargain on sales item occasionally. Have a good line of Honda motorcycles on display.
Terrible service. Had to ask if anyone was interested in selling a motorcycle as two people sat at thier desks and watched me walk around for 15min (I was the only person in the store at the time). The person who eventually came to help me appeared to be bothered that I interrupted him. He didnt know the price of the motorcycle I wanted to purchase and said he was not allowed to make any decisions on trade-ins. I decided to sell my bike privately and called back once it was sold (1.5 weeks). I called first thing in the morning and asked if bike was still available. It was, so I told them I would be in with a deposit that day. I received an email 3 hours later saying he forgot to tell his brother about our conversation and that bike was now sold to another person. I will never deal with Markham Outdoor Power again.
Bought a few bikes here, always welcomed and treated more than fairly. hats off to the staff!
Meh... Staff were curt and no at so helpful. Ive had multiple bikes over 20 years and they didnt seem to treat me as a solid customer.
