Really cool little place! Surprisingly large selection for such a small space. Filled with local veg and produce with some snacks here and there. Would love to see more plants and a fruit section in the future

Super awesome place to buy local goods. We buy our eggs here (Shady Grove Farms) for our baking with Doozers. Always friendly staff (some of whom play some bomb music!) and tasty things to add to your basket. Love it

All around, I was personally disappointed. In general, its a true shame that eating healthy and buying local, fresh produce is so expensive. $4.99 for blueberries. $5 for raspberries. $4.19 for a dozen fresh eggs. And I got some dried cherries ($4.59) because I wasnt impressed by the offering of fresh cherries. Thats just too expensive for me. But I have been waiting for the opportunity to check Lakeshore Depot out since Ive heard rave reviews from others. They had a very quick response on Facebook messenger to a question I had after hours last evening. I am disabled and asked what the parking situation and handicapped access was like. The answer was that its a gravel parking lot with an easy access. I was welcomed to park on the cement slab near the entrance. And I was given the option of calling the store from wherever I parked, and they could bring items out to the car for me to chose from! That earned an extra star in my review by itself.I ended up parking on the gravel very near the garage door type entrance. No steps. It wasnt busy inside so I determined that I could probably take a quick trip inside relatively easily. Most things are clearly labeled and priced. There are fresh fruits and vegetables, meats and dairy. But lots of pre-packaged, healthy, organic type snacks. I saw gluten free items. The fresh soup/ice cream (Jilberts Dairy) bar looked enticing but I had just had lunch. All in all, I made the purchases that I did for convenience. Ive been craving real FRESH eggs and blueberries and am unable to frequent the local farmers markets. So I paid for the convenience. Probably wont be a frequent shopper unfortunately.

Quality selection of local foods and other wares. Glad there’s a spot this close to the beach to grab an ice cream, cold drink, or some snacks.

This is such a welcome addition to town, providing much that weve missed since we lost Farmer Qs. Its a small space, but large enough to have a good selection of local and Michigan produce, dairy, meats, and baked goods, their own home-made feta (excellent) and some great guilty snacks. They sell a Mackinac Island lemonade I havent seen elsewhere thats the best Ive ever had. Worth seeking it out behind the Lakeshore Bike shop and Freds Rubber Stamps.
