Marshalltown, IA, most of the shoppers here were not wearing masks, check with hospital, most beds are full due to covid complications of unvaccinated people. Wake up!

I waited 20 minutes AFTER a page was sent out for customer service at the jewelry counter. No one showed up to help. I guess my $$$ isnt wanted.

Over on my shopping experience went pretty well. It would have went swell if I could have gotten help in the automotive department. I was needing a bulb for my license plate light. I decided that was okay I had one light it was lighting up my plate, so the drive home from Marshalltown to Cedar Rapids would go okay as long as it was lit. I had a safe trip.

Typically cant find the products I need. Usually stuff involving self-care or just decent goods.

No aisles open just the self check outs. WTH??? The merchandise is bare bones. The associates out in the various departments are minimal. Time for management to step up to the register when the line at the self check out is 6 deep.I have to think this is not Sam Waltons vision and he is spinning in his grave.

The one in Ankey has almost bare shelves. I know its been a rush shopping for the back-to-school folks, but this is ridiculous. On top of that, there are ZERO registers open. Only self-checkout. Asked someone and they said they didnt have enough people. So that probably means management failed to properly staff for this time of year. They hire plenty to do the online shopping, but cant get enough to do other stuff?

Not crowded and I was able to find all my needs. Everyone had on a mask.

Maybe if they weren’t so understaffed and stock things they will help people and help their customers my fiancé and Mother In Law where standing there in a asle for a good 20 minutes and no one decided to help them which is unbelievable but no all like to do is sit on their phones

Very very long lines at the check out. You want that kind of business then take care of your customers and your employees

Lousy there is hardly anything on the shelves to buy. Why is it other stores seem to have full shelves but Marshalltown doesnt have anything? The city wants us to spend our money here in our own town but there is nothing to buy.

Best time to go is early morning till 9 otherwise busy

You can find almost anything here. By almost I mean if youre looking for something specific and you dont know if its here, it might be good to check out the website/app beforehand to see if its in stock or not. I also like how theres a self check out so if your antisocial you dont have to talk to people lol.

Open till 11pm. It would be great if they were open 24 hrs, but store is good overall for Wally World

Its Walmart. Store looked clean just not stocked. Prolly cuz of covid n not getting supplies from vendors.

Bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. I feel awful for the employees NOT cleaning that up. Not a lot of pokemon in either.

Negative stars. The customer service is non- existent. Dalton Casper the manager on duty is argumentative, dismissive, and rude, as well as the customer service managers Wendy and cierra who would not take my phone call. This store and the employees are a disgrace to our community and I will not be back. I can get anything I need at menards, theisens, or Hyvee. As a matter fact, I will go out of my way to avoid this store. Let’s work on having a target come to town. Anything would be better that this place.

Staff is usually helpful. Store is usually stocked pretty good.

Been to numerous walmarts in IowaMost are pretty good but Newtons Walmart is one of the worst. Very under trained staff and some of the staff are downright rude. Newton is my home town and I think Walmart can do better than they are.

Need more self checkouts. Like every other store I guess. Lol

Was able to go in get wanted items. Went to jewelry last, asked about checking out there and was able. Skipped the self checkouts and slow checkout lines.

Marshalltown Iowa Walmart has become a store I wish I could avoid. They are constantly out of essentials and then to top off your disappointment, the lines are 5 or 6 at least deep at the checkouts. Never enough cashiers up front but you can sure find them walking around talking or stacking pallets in the isles. Wish they would open a store that would give them a run for their money!

People knock Walmart but the truth is its definately the best bargain and the best selection.

One of my favorite Wal-Marts, Great staff in this store compared to others that I visit. Electronics department is run well in this store and when you are looking for something they usually know where it is.

Id give this store 0 stars if I could. The only one thing I encountered during my visit was good was they were not busy. No customer service associate in hardware. No customer service associate in electronics even after (2) request to get help. Terrible all around. They cant help you with check out but they have a employee to search yourSack before you can get out of the door. Plus the restroom was disgusting!

Less than 10% of the checkout capacity is available for customer use. Its a crisis!

This store is always messy....I know customers make the mess on racks and shelves. Both bathrooms need serious scrubbing.

Use this business on a regular basis. Easy order and pick-up. Polite and efficient pick-up delivery staff.

Didnt have a big selection of clothes and always out of things. All that you have for shorts shorts was for big fat people.

The store itself is decent, the bathrooms need to be cleaned better.

After spending some time shopping in Walmart. I came out to a car tire that was almost on flat. I drove back to the Walmart Service Center to see if they could switch my spare for me. Even though it was 50 minutes before they closed, the young lady who greeted me at the door advised me No, and explained they are not accepting any more customer cars. That is some awesome customer service you guys have.

They must just train like 2 ppl for registers and the rest to stand and stare all crabby.. Not sure why we do our own checkouts now and they have tine to snarl at ppl not ok w thus set up.. Need good training on real cust service!! .. Ill stick w target.No rwason to have 5 ppl standing around and 1 register besides self check open.

Bad, bad, bad. Clerks non-gelpful, store a mess, leaves a lot to be desired. Guess nobody cares about good salesmanship any more.

Great state park. Under utilized and under developed by the state. Ripe with more potential for camping canoing fishing and hiking. Iowa DNR has no vision for tourism and hasnt since the late 70s. So many state parks that could offer nicer tourism destinations that are being left stale.

Only shop here if desperate. Have changed from customer based to using customers as unpaid labor. 2 registers open forcing use of self service. Took me over 30 minutes too make puchase.

They allow overnight truck parking, but tractor only, no tractor-trailer. Quiet parking. Though Im not sure if they have parking lot security, I didnt see any. Just please, keep the garbage in the bin, not the lot.

Customer service and even the people shopping I have no manners whatsoever and tend to like to stare a lot

2 live checker aisles open, probably a dozen self check. Wonderful waiting in line 30 minutes while people scan 600 items and bag them on their own because the alternative is waiting an hour for an experienced checker to do it. I avoid Walmart at all costs because it is such a pain trying to pay and leave if its not 3am

Great store overall, but even with the pandemic, it was real busy!! Yes, it was 6 days til Christmas, but tho all were wearing masks, ppl were in line packed too close to each other. I was worried and did my shopping quickly to leave the situation!!

I went to the electronics department and a gentleman named Will helped me. He was so very polite and knowledgeable. Got me out in minutes. Thank you Will in electronics at marshalltown iowa walmart.

Good store, everything is organized nicely, the staff is nice and polite, only bad thing was they moved the clearance isle and I couldnt find it.

Waste of customers time. I came to get a $10 family meal, ask the guy at the deli and he seemed to not know the prices for the meals but assured me that I would be raining out correctly went to the cashier and the cashier didnt know how to ring me out and said they would call their supervisor for assistance about 15 minutes later no supervisor show up and Im told to go to a different cashier waited in line for another 45 minutes and by the time I get to that new cashier she walked off her position and never came back. At that point I said screw it the food is cold and Soggy so I left

People in Electronics need to be a little more attentive.

Bathrooms were dirty and the employees were following me and my husband like we was going to steal or something.. we have plenty of money to buy whatever we wanted.

Easily accessible, new parking lot, very clean and good service.

Though there were more check out lanes open there were still lines. Its Walmart for cripes sake,you cant tell me they cant afford more staff!

We did the online order and touchless pickup. What a disaster. We waited 45 mins to get groceries. Had 3 different people approach the truck with someone else order? What the hell? We had checked into the #6 stall should be pretty self explanetory. But we watched as every single time employees went to the wrong car. We watched 1 employee go to 8 different cars and still never found the right one???!! How is this contact less pickup? Unbelievable and unacceptable. We will never use this store or setup again.
