Place is getting better and better. Staff is friendly and understanding. They help out the common person and it shows for sure. GREAT JOB GUYS!!

What can you say the people running this place are great. I cant believe they dont have a sushi machine on the property.

Go there quite often, has everything from any kind of liquor you want, good variety of beers, pizza, snacks, Western Union, checks cashed etc. Good service owners are always polite !

They have reasonable prices and MANY options for alcohol that cover two walls of the shop. They sell vaporizers and vape juice, which is always on sale. The only problem with that is none of the employees seem to have any knowledge of the vape products. The restroom is always out of order, unfortunately. The clientele isnt usually kind or well-groomed, but thats not the shops fault. The owner is extremely nice and always has a smile on his face! He only charges $2 to cash the checks my clients bring in every week. He gives one of my clients a high five every time we come in and he is kind and patient with all of my clients; for example, each week when one of my clients tries to greet the owner or say a few words to him in Spanish--because she doesnt understand that although he has brown skin, he is not Latino--the owner doesnt take offense or try to correct her, but greets her back in Spanish and asks her how shes doing or about her day. Often times people in the community are not kind to people with disabilities or ignore their presence all together. But not the owner of The Depot. He treats them with dignity and respect like every human deserves. And thats a huge reason why we keep coming back every week. The other employees working usually arent very patient or nice, unfortunately.

Sketchy as heck. There are usually strange people outside sometimes asking for change or a cigarette. The staff are okay and the liquor selection aint bad

I like it that the guys there are mellow yet friendly. They have great customer service and do there best to deal with anything that comes up.

Its pretty convenient place to pickup your forgotten items from the larger stores. Many types of liquor and beer and wine. They sell cigarettes at a low price as well. Some soda pops, ice cream, and a few candies.

I have always had very good and polite service. I would recommend anyone to go there, very nice employees.

It is maybe the last of the Mom `n Pop stores in the area. Definately the one of the last in Marshalltown. Everything you wuold expect from a Mom `n Pop`s store. The staff know the people of the neibhorhood the service is great.
