Robert (in Marshfield) offers great customer service and the facility is clean and secure. Unfortunately, after only 4 months corporate increased my rate over 15%!! Definitely was not expecting that. If you’re given the option to get the first month free, DO IT because your rate will increase significantly after 4 months anyway. But honestly, if you’re looking for long term storage, I would recommend NOT going with Extra Space at all.

Im writing a review after having been a customer at this facility over a year ago. Why? Because I just came across some correspondence that I exchanged with the manager, Bob and realized that I needed to make sure that he received the credit that he is due.I had a very harrowing move from CO to MA in mid December with what turned out to be a nightmare of a moving company. They changed the delivery date multiple times and at the end, it was touch and go if I was actually ever going to receive my belongings. Bob not only had the patience of a saint with all of my changes but on the morning of my delivery when the company notified me that they would arrive before business hours, Bob said that he would watch out for me to make sure that everything went smoothly if I needed him to. Fortunately I didnt as of course they arrived hours later but with Bobs reassurance I could finally breathe!Bob always was beyond kind and courteous and in truth, treated me like a family member. He kept me safe, my belongings safe and helped me to renew my faith in the world when I was feeling anxious about it all. I also observed him treating everyone who came into his office with this same respect and caring, professionalism and helpfulness that is so outstanding.As for the facility, it is spotlessly clean, safe, easy to access and frankly, the best I have ever used!Thank you for everything you did to help me Bob!

Best rates I found in the area with a very friendly staff that goes out of their way to get you the space you need. Rob is so friendly and knowledgeable. There are multiple floors with multiple elevators and hand carts available, also larger spaces with ground level exterior roll up doors. Very secure property that requires a code to enter and the manager lives on site. No long term contract or lease, I only needed my space for a few weeks and had no problems when I moved out.

I have used Extra Space Storage in Marshfield for a number of years. The staff is very professional and courteous. They take care of their customers..Most certainly would recommend Extra Space Storage to others.

Im giving them 1 star only because 0 is not an option. Do not use this facility unless you dont mind having your rates increase dramatically and quickly and if youre OK with sub-par security. We rented a storage unit with them 2 years ago, and, in the past 2 years, they raised our monthly rate 5 times, from around $300/month to over $400/month for a 10 x 15 climate controlled unit. This equates to a 31% increase in under two years. The last increase occurred at the same time that the facility notified us (on the day it happened) that the security gate was being removed to allow access for construction vehicles. Knowing that, once someone gained access to the property, it was simple to also gain access to the inside of the building (just wait in a vehicle until another tenant raises one of the loading doors, then walk right in-Ive done this unintentionally several times over the last 2 years), I asked to speak to the property manager to address my security concerns. When he did not return my call, I went to the office to convey in person my concerns about property security and also my displeasure that my rates were once again going upat the same time that security was being compromised. Not only did the manager, Rob, totally dismiss my concerns, he was rude and unprofessional.The hallways and property are poorly lit, and the security cameras are a joke. Now that the gates are down, anyone can access the building, and there are plenty of hiding spaces inside. Once your unit is open, theres no one around to monitor the safety of either your person or your property. When I was conveying this to one of the office employees, another customer who was also in the office agreed that the place was creepy and expressed concern that the gates were down as well. Given this companys exorbitant rate increases (classic bait and switch-bringing in customers at a reasonable rate, then repeatedly raising the rent once the customers have moved all of their belongings), the poor security, and unprofessional staff, I strongly urge you to look elsewhere to address your storage needs.
