This safeway is a great store, but they need these:

Had the BEST Checker ever! Jason was friendly, courteous and helpful. He also made sure my groceries were bagged exactly how I asked them to be bagged. Its refreshing to finally have an attentive Courtesy Clerk!!!

Not unlike other Safeway stores, spacious and plenty of foods that I like. Although I wish they had more variety with salami brands.

Most important, they have great reception to open the Safeway app. You can see your grocery list, coupons, and specials. The employees are always friendly and the prices are right. This is the grocery store to shop in Martinez.

Very disappointed I went in shopping to get some stuff for my husband and for dinner and I find it unacceptable that this store does not enforce mask for customers. When asked why this is not enforced I was told they had to many violations and were being sued as a company.This is totally unacceptable as I am high risk and have a compromised immune system and you as a company cant enforce something that was made mandatory in the state of California.So are we making exceptions now ? And if you let one person not wear a mask then its acceptable for everyone else right ? Are you going to pay my medical bill if I catch this virus and you didnt ensure that safety of your customers that are shopping and abiding by the rules ?

That place seems to be in a slow motion time warp. Id rather patronize the Safeway stores in Pleasant Hill. And they stay open 24hrs. .

Place is horrible. Usually only one or two ckerks. Prepare to wait in a long line.

I never have any problems here. Tried the pork buns in the deli... Theyre amazing.

Great old school Safeway. Has everything Im looking and yet doesnt feel cold & boxy like the one at Sun Valley Mall.

If this is the one Im thinking thenits the sketchy one on Alhambra near the high school and hospital. Staff are great...clientele not always the best.

One recommendation, restrooms say alot about a place, they need to fix and clean them. Also if you go here at 6 a.m., usually there is about 10 employees out front out of uniform being loud and smoking. It is intimidating to me. Bad for business.
