I love this place. I have recently learned that they carry a different brand of hardware than traditional hardware stores. They actually had the screws I needed were other stores did not. The also have a decent RV section.

The store is in Martinsville, VA next to FoodLion in Ridgeway and across the way from Planet Fitness.Excellent store with great variety. Best price around on a 24 pack of water - $1.99. Good general farm, hobby farm store.However, the store does not always have some items in stock particularly in way of hardware. Dog food, cattle feed, chicken feed and supplies are generally always in stock.Parking lot is a nightmare, at least for me. While there is generally ample parking, the aisles are narrow and if you have a large wheel base vehicle it is not always easy to get in and out.But for the parking and at times limited supply on some items, would be 5 stars.

Love this store. It has a TON of selection for pretty much anything you could need around the house. Store is clean and well layed out. Plenty of in-stock items. My only issue was some of the clothing items tended to trend towards XL, XXL and up (very few S or M) but still much more to choose from than other similar stores.

Mistook this place for a Burger King. Very misleading name. Not a whopper in sight. Honestly, its more of a Chick-fil-A kinda deal, but even at that at least Chick-fil-A actually cooks their food. Of course, they dont actually call it Chick-fil-A though. Instead they use an offbrand name called Chick Days. The chicken was not only raw and covered in feathers, but still moving too. Much too small to be filling as well. On top of all of that, the food made an awful noise when I bit into it. Also, I cant believe I have to say this, but nobody wants to have to lean over and reach into a big bucket to get their food. I think some serious restructuring might be needed. That being said, though, I did enjoy the free popcorn, so all of your sins are forgiven. 10/10.

Great place/selection. I used to shop at Tractor Supply until I went here. Rural King offers much much more than any TS and has slightly better prices as well.

Too hot inside... Had just eat lunch, almost got sick. Someone working there said it was always like that. If you go, GO EARLY AND know what you are going to get. We stayed to long to look at all the prettys. I dont need anyway. Comfort over snacks any day. Yes the popcorn is back.

I drove over an hour one way to go see them and pick up some chicks that I wanted. I never found anyone to help me, I went up front and talk to them, I went in back and talk to them, nobody would help me even after i waited a 1/2 hour. So I crawled over the little fence and had to get my own. I emptied product out of a box and put my new chicks in but I could only reach 6 of them. I didnt know if they were straight run or not. I probably would not make the two-hour round-trip to do this again

Always spend too much money here but great store for rural living. Friendly and helpful staff.

This was my first visit here. They have everything! Its like a Lowes and a Tractor Supply all in one! I loved it. We made sure we had plenty on time and we used every minute. There were so many things to look at, many things were priced comparable to other stores. Some things had much better prices, it varied between items. They even had such cute baby chickens!! And a few rabbits too! I would highly recommend everyone checkbout this store!

Rural King has been a Go To store for me for a while now. Great selections for my needs, and very reasonable prices. As they used to say to Mikey, Try it, youll like it.

Customer service is terrible. I ordered a 6 ft King Kutter tiller that was shipped damaged. Customer service girls just kicked the can down the road to Zendesk. It was all email- no phone call as I requested. I had to send in pictures twice as they couldn’t find the first set, but Zendesk had them. Three weeks later got the parts in, with no communication. Now I have to paint them a color which is not the same. So I have a brand new $2,600 multi color tiller. They even canceled the customer service review because I didn’t respond quickly, so that their owners would not find out how terrible that department is.

Excellent staff and clean store. Wide selection of stock that is clearly labelled as to where major groups are located.

This place is awesome...till you need help. I waited over 30 minutes for an associate that never showed. Maybe you can find him.

I travel from Danville to come to here. I absolutely love this place. For me, it has everything I need for what projects I need done. It’s worth the drive for me. Downside, it’s hard to get anyone there to help you or to find someone who knows anything. But overall the place is a great place to go.

Pretty awsome place. They give you free popcorn and coffee. A big selection of outdoor stuff. Clothes, toys, boots and food also in supply here. decent prices on everything..huge hunting selection fornthe hunters. Guns, ammo, towers, camo gear, everything you need for hunting . Animal feed for pets and other animals such as chickens for a very cheap price. Can also buy chicks and turkeys.

My go to place for farm needs. An excellent non-woke business.

The store is a fantastic place to shop but the inventory on their brand of work pants is almost non existent. On this day there was not enough cashiers and the store was crowded. It was unpleasant to get around inside and out in the parking lot.

This store will eventually put Tractor Supply out of business! I know theyre strong in the midwest, but now theyve opened up a few stores in VA & it will take off very soon as they have EVERYTHING that Tractor Supply stopped carrying in their stores. (Example, hardware dept is superior: they sell individual sockets and wrenches!)The fact that you can get free popcorn at the front of the store while walking around shopping is awesome. This place would do very well if they opened in Powhatan VA! (Wink, Wink! Nudge-Nudge!!!!)

Amazing! They have baby chicks that you can adopt, along with animal supplys (food) and car supplys! It is amazing and I recommend going, they also have bunnies! Perfect! And your dog is allowed. Any breed.please consider going!oh! And they have gardening tools along with lawn mowers! They have EVERYTHING you need here!

LOVE THE STORE!!!!! But....Saturday afternoon and only one cashier?? No manager in sight??? I was there for BBs..but Im not waiting in line for 10 mins for something I can go to TSC or Wlamart for and be in and out in less time than standing in your line. Cant find help? Pay more. Afraid that will dip into your yearly revenues? Me not shopping there for all the other stuff besides BBs will do that too..

Id like to rate higher, but their covid game is weak. Staff and customers dont seem to be taking it very seriously. Its a shame since selection is good, pricing is fair and they actually have tractor and farm goods unlike the tractor store down the road. More American made products would be appreciated.

I love going to Rural King for bird feeds and looking at chicks and the bunnies.

Their prices are much better than Tractor Supply, however, they arent as local. So, with gas prices being 50% higher than they used to be, I take this into consideration when deciding where to purchase the items that I need.
