The Candy Kitchen is a wonderful & family friendly place to go and have some delicious treats with a warming atmosphere. I personally want to thank them for having us yesterday to do my daughter & her boyfriends Prom Photos, and being so welcoming, because it made for some gorgeous photos. Near or far this place is worth the visit, and you wont be disappointed, and you wont leave without wanting some of their amazing chocolates, warm Cashews, or even one of their fantastic Milkshakes. Thanks again for letting us make beautiful memories there yesterday that well cherish for a lifetime!
This was on Easter. They always have the Easter bunny. And all the candy is to die for.. I also love the hot chocolate..
Took our nieces and nephews for the first time this past weekend.The gentleman that runs the shop was so sweet and engaging with the children! (He was sort of a hybrid Santa/Willy Wonka.) My husband loved his marshmallow ice cream in his banana split. We will definitely make this a go-to stop! Love.
The cutest little candy shop I’ve ever been to. They have a large variety of options including a great assortment of ice cream. My 6 year old daughter loved it. She had the cotton candy and said it was “the best ice cream she ever had”. :) they have the cutest little pin ball machine in the back where you put in a quarter and a gumball comes out. Highly recommended place to visit!

Super cute candy shop! And they have ice cream. We went for the first time today. Excited for some candy from a local shop. Well this place has been around for 100 years and they know exactly how to treat customers to keep them coming back. We had a scoop of ice cream each and sat in the quaint shop. Our candy enthusiast helped me pick a sweet treat as well as sample a couple ice creams before we decided on our favorite. My only regret is that I didn’t get a candy cane but we will return another day. The staff made this experience exceptional and will be back on our next adventure!!

I love stopping at the Candy Kitchen after having dinner in downtown Martinsville. I tried the homemade Derby pie with a scoop of butter pecan icecream. Both were delicious! 💜
I was gifted chocolate dipped pretzels for Christmas from here. I ate the package in 20 minutes! This place is amazing! They also make the best candy canes and you can watch!

Wanted to see the candy canes being made but couldn’t stay due to tons of people packed into a tiny space with very little people wearing masks (they weren’t enforcing masks). on top of that, the workers making the candy didn’t have masks or gloves on which is actually SUPER disgusting. have they heard we’re in a pandemic??? i absolutely will never come back here again. so gross.

The Candy Kitchen has all things sweet! My go to treat is the Tiger bark. They are known for hand pulling their candy canes, you can watch the process through the big window in the back of the shop. Also a great place to stop for some ice cream for a special treat.

Awesome little candy shop, they make several of their own candies in house. There claim to fame is their candy canes which is one of the items they make in house. I tried the turtles and the carmels, both of which were delicious. I am not even that big of a candy guy, but they were so good.

This little place was awesome! We traveled here with a large group of students from Missouri and the owner and employees were extremely accommodating and welcoming. The told our group a history about their shop and provided some very delicious treats at a reasonable price. I hope to make it back this way again!

Candy lovers paradise!! This hometown treasure has been satisfying my sweet tooth for MANY years. My current favorites are the chocolate covered coffee beans, the black cherry ice cream and, surprisingly, the pumpkin flavored ice cream! I stole a taste of Livis and it was AMAZING!!! Like the mom and pop atmosphere. My son loved the candy cane that was made fresh there. But, we waited in a line of 4 people for about 15 minutes. There were 5 people working behind the counter that seemed to be just kind of blankly staring into the abyss. They definitely could work on their customer service.

Very nostalgic! I didnt know about this place but it is a wonderful little shop with a variety of candy. Lots of homemade goodies and you can watch things being made in the back. I am looking forward to going when they make candy canes next year! Prices were very reasonable too.

I LOVE THE CANDY KITCHEN! Its one of my first and favorite childhood memories! My DAD used to take me there and Id watch Ken make candy canes and taffy. Every now and then he would let me help pull the taffy for him. My Dad had a store a few doors down from the Candy Kitchen so I spent alot of time there in the summer!
A must to visit! The flavored sodas are our favorite but you cant go wrong with anything there!

Oh my goodness, we walked in and it smelled so good. First time I went and they was doing a candy cane demonstration. I bought 12 candy canes, chocolate rocks, chocolate covered sunflower seeds, chocolate covered marshmallows, chocolate on a stick, chocolate covered pretzel rods and twinkies dipped in chocolate. Everything was so good and I cant wait to go back. Great place for stocking stuffers for the kids and great candy for the adults to hide from the kids 😂😉

The best candy canes ever! The rest of the candy is good, and a wide variety. The candy canes are made there and you can even get them warm while they are rolling them out. The owners really care and go out of their way to help the customer.

Very personal place. Mom and pop candy place. Watched family make the candy hearts and the lollipops. They gave us free candy to try. As they were making the candy the owner told my kids the history of the building. We watched the stretching of the candy to make the candy canes.

We love the Candy Kitchen. We just picked up our homemade candy canes. Delicious! Just make sure if you wamt flavors other than cinnamon or peppermint that you order before Dec. 14th. We missed ot by a day this year. If you love chocolate you should also stop by!
