Extraordinarily unfriendly staff in the store but especially at the pharmacy. One rather strange pharmacy-tech told us we couldnt pick up our birth control for our daughter - we called later and the pharmacist told us its been there for two days. Evidently we were victims of someone elses moral convictions: Unacceptable. Recently my doctor called in 2 different RX and when we compared prices with other pharmacies, we had that particular two RX transferred. In anger or pettiness, the Dorsett Rd. Walgreens cleared all of our RX. We had to go to our family doctors to get them called into a different location, all over again - some were even long-term management RX. Thats just plain dangerous and petty.
This establishment has the medication I need, yet EXPLICITLY refuses to fill a medication my doctor prescribed. They would rather that I spread my seasonal illness in-store with the other patrons, than let me have a medication (confirmed in-stock), which has been safely used for OVER 40 YEARS. It’s also pertinent to point out that my *breakthrough* case underscores the hypocrisy of what is transpiring.
After reviewing prices on GoodRx, Ive come to understand that Walgreens has the worst prices. Ive never had as many problems getting prescriptions filled as Ive had with Walgreens, few if any with all other pharmacies. They dont take the initiative to tell you about Prior Authorization issues getting prescriptions filled, nor do they take the initiative to start that paperwork with the prescribing doctor. Even when you take the initiative to call and follow up on this information (even though the website says theyll call you if they need to), and they say theyve faxed the prior authorization to your doctor, they havent (this happened twice, years apart). All this pharmacy has collectively done to justify not filling my prescriptions over the years leaves me with the impression that the pharmacy workers get paid whether they fill prescriptions or not, and that they genuinely prefer not to, since that would require more effort.Reading all the other reviews for this location, its clear this is a systemic issue the pharmacist and Walgreens does not care to fix.
Respectful service on a timely manner!
I have been using Walgreens many years to get my prescriptions filled. Today was one of the most exceptional experiences I have had with them.I am legally blind and unable to drive to pick up my prescriptions, Most of the time I have my prescriptions delivered through a service they use but was unable to set that service up. A very sweet lady called me and told me they were going to deliver it!!!Thank you so much Walgreens pharmacy staff❤️
I used to patronize this store a lot. They have a fairly new male store manager. Twice while shopping there, the store manager followed me around the store. The last time he followed me. I stopped and asked him were they hiring. He said no, and walked around me. I wanted him to know I knew what he was doing. Now, I have four master degrees, and he’s following me around the store.
This is a perfectly fine walgreens! I dont know why it has such a low rating
Sale associate was not wearing their mask properly. Please cover your nose and not just your mouth.
I loved my experience at Walgreens on both occasions that I visited the store.I was greeted on entering, asked if I needed to find anything in particular and when I did, staff could not have been any more helpful.Everything is so well laid out and aisles are clearly labelled. Its very easy to find what you need very fast. Shelves are also well stocked and there is a very clear labelling of items out of stock.Staff here are a friendly bunch who work well together, led by a lovely manager who isnt afraid to get stuck in himself and help out.Well done, guys. Irish pharmacies have a bit to go to reach your standards.
I usually like the clinics, but ImStill not well. Was seen last week
This Walgreens is one of the worst pharmacies I have ever visited. Very bad customer service. Curt and rude behavior. They lack basic customer service skills. They make you wait under one pretext or the other and serve other customers who came after you. When I tried to speak to the Pharmacist who lacks listening skills supports his staff without even understanding what I am trying to explain. Every week I have been giving them 100s of dollars worth business. I am seriously planning to take it to their competitors.
I edited my initial review of this store after receiving an email from the President of Pharmacy and Retail Operations. I really appreciate them reaching out to me. They recognized their mistakes and apologized for them. I would like to keep using this pharmacy, as it is conveniently located and has great hours. I hope that the issues I have been experiencing are resolved. Overall, the Walgreens location is great. The staff is friendly, its open 24 hours, they have a wide variety of products, and the balance rewards program is fantastic!**Update**I changed my 4 star review to a 5 star review because after the last edit I made to my initial review over a year ago the pharmacy at this Walgreens has changed so much for the better. The issues I had with customer service as well as with a specific medication have been resolved 100%. Picking up my monthly prescription from this pharmacy went from a chore I dreaded to a very pleasant experience each visit. The staff has changed and is far more attentive and courteous. The overall look and atmosphere of the pharmacy has changed positively as well. This is now my favorite Walgreens pharmacy.
Generally a pretty nice location, but today a woman who looked like she might be a manager stopped us and asked if we believed in Jesus and tried to evangelize us while we were shopping. I thought this was extremely inappropriate and unprofessional so I mentioned it to the woman at the register. She then said “You don’t believe in Jesus Christ?” so like, wow. I guess all the employees are in on trying to covert their customers. Like I said this is usually a nice location to shop and I’ve never had problems before, but I don’t think this kind of behavior is acceptable.
I only use this Walgreens for prescriptions and I have never had a good experience. The line outside is always very long and they routinely put a shopping car in one of the lanes so you can only drive through one which creates a traffic jam in the parking lot. The line inside is just as long, and the staff never seem to be in a hurry, despite the long line of visibly frustrated customers. If I need something filled same day, the employees seem very frustrated and act as if it is an impossibility, even if the medicine is explicable very much needed the same day and the doctor issued it just hour earlier. I dropped off a prescription earlier today and they assured me it would be ready today. I just went to pick it up and they said there was no doctors name on the prescription so they could not fill it. They clearly had all of my information, why not give me a call and ask me for the information needed?? But the thing that frustrates me the most is that I always receive an email letting me know when my monthly prescriptions are ready for refill, I promptly refill them, and I receive an email notification letting me know when they are ready (this is standard at all Walgreens Pharmacies). When I receive this email, it gives me the price of the prescriptions. When I show up at this Walgreens to pickup and pay for the prescriptions, they consistently charge me $20 more than what the emails lists the price as. When I catch it, they tell me I have always paid this amount, which I know is not true because I have been through the same thing every month, and then they become extremely rude. There is absolutely NO customer service. I recently moved to the area and have used this Walgreens pharmacy out of convenice but it is worth it to me to go out of my way to another pharmacy because of the lack of communication, organization and service displayed by the pharmacy team here.
The worst Walgreens EVER! extremely rude and I will no longer shop here or get any meds filled here ever again!
I will never visit this place again. You stop by a Walgreens because it’s quick and you can get stuff you need for you or for someone else right. Well that’s fine and dandy til you have employees asking you personal questions that are none of their business and when you tell them it’s non of their business they look at you like your a piece of garbage.
The Walgreens clinic at this location is amazing! Ive never had such thorough care. The nurse practitioner answered my questions, and was very polite.
The manager David is not fit to be manager. True definition of a rookie. He got in my face when I tried to return an item. Since you a manager I’m beneath you? Erase your title and then look at me. It’s human and human. I could of handled it different but I read you and you wasn’t ready. I’ll say more but I’m not due to the fact I don’t want to get flagged but just know. If your in the area and stop here don’t check out with David. He has a predatory demeanor, in the worse way.
For several years this location has been serving the needs of myself and fellow workers. They have proved to be a great benefit to the health of our community. I greatly appreciate the extra efforts of Gayle S. and Allison H.
They are really really slow. Whenever I go there for pick up my prescription, I have to always wait very long time. Better to avoid this one.
Pretty typical Walgreens as far as selection, service offerings, and layout goes. Staff is usually very friendly. This store does get really busy so checkout lines occasionally get pretty long. But the staff tries to work through it as fast as they can. IC3 is commonly heard on the intercom alerting other employees that help is needed for checkouts.
Less than helpful at this SSM Health Express Clinic. Two female nurses on staff sitting in an office. No customers here when I showed up. Both claim to be waiting for ONE scheduled appointment. I said No problem, I can wait. Then the second nurse jumped in to say thats not possible either. Neither were interested in helping at all. Or seeing any patients. Or answering any questions. Both seemed bothered to be at work. Very disappointed by nurses in a public service field.
This is a great pharmacy, they have most of the products anyone would need and the staff is really great and friendly. The only issue is that it is typically crowded and they get quit slow on the service but even so sometimes its just the way it is in this popular places.
If I could give this place 0 stars I would. How do you lose everyones insurance information all the time. The pharmacy is one of the worst in the area. Stop using the excuse of system updates every time people present their insurance cards for information that has been entered numerous times after the upgrade.
No more, I have to switch pharmacies! They never have my prescription ready and today I have came back when they told me to and still not ready. They said we have had a busy day, well me too. I get that things happen, but I came here yesterday, and they could not fill my script as they were out. Came back today, said they had it in, come back at 4. I am here at almost 5, still not ready. This happens slot here and some of the employees are rude at times. I am done.
This Walgreens is well stocked, managed, and has friendly associates. Its open 24 hours and even the photo service for passports is good.
Pharmacy is horrible! Waited for 15-min while they tried to enter my insurance information. Despite my husband being on the same insurance and filled a Rx last week, they could not figure out how to get my insurance applied to my Rx. Had to leave bc the wait for Rx was so long. I couldn’t pay OOP for the antibiotics I needed even if I wanted to! It is now 2.5 hours later and I’m *still* without my Rx and no follow up call!!!
Allison, the nurse practioner, was absolutely amazing!!! I forgot the gentlemans name that took my vitals before hand ( gray Greys Anatomy scrubs, darker complexion) he was absolutely superb! As soon as I got in the room I had to handle some at home issues over the phone and he was very patient and told me to do your thing! He waited patiently. When it came time for the strep and flu test, I had told him how years ago doctors had been super rough and made it very uncomfertable when taking samples for these test. He was super gentle and made sure to I was comfertable. Allison is an angel! When checking my ears she had noticed that I had a lot of ear wax clogged in my ear and offered to clean them out for me ( I have suffered with unmanageable ear wax in my left ear my whole life and had never been offered an ear cleaning) Towards the end of my visit I became very light headed and on the brink of passing out so she laid me back and called in the gentleman that had helped me earlier and had asked him to watch over me while she ran and got me some orange juice... that she bought herself! I have never seen this amount of kindness come so natural from anyone before... and to have the two of these people, whom have never met me, be so kind hearted and compassionate... it really touched me! I never leave commemts but I felt I needed to say this... and I am posting this same feedback on every platform for this Walgreens on Dorsett!!! Absolutely incredible!!! Thank you guys so much!
I arrived at the pharmacy at 9:55pm and they were already closed when it clearly shows 10:00pm as a closing time. I was unable to get my medication that I needed. This is the last time I will have my prescription called into this one.
Some of the employees are super rude and dont make you feel very welcome. In fact it makes you feel like you inconvenienced them when you check out. I like that its open 24 hours. And the store is kept nice.
I went there for flu shots. Waited in queue for 15 min. Filled out all forms, waited again for an hour.. 12 customers who came after me were entertained before me.. frustrated, kid and wife sitting on chair for more than an hour. No response from physicist. They didnt tell me wait time, nor they asked me to come next day. Just made me wait.Physicist had been giving wierd response - Go and take seat, we will call you- no one called out for 30 + min. Felt discriminated and walked out.
Extremely unhappy the way they behave with customers
This location is usually busy, but the staff is quick and friendly.
Friendly helpful staff. Very clean and organized.
Very bad customer service and very unprofessional! If there is a choice, I will definitely give them ZERO star! Especially the store in Maryland Heights! Awful photo department!
This walgreens is my pharmacy for 3+ years now. I have witnessed lot of bad things for other customers and had couple of instances where i got frustrated. They should be adding more knowledgeable attenders to pharmacy. We ask to add an insurance to the system. First person will try for 5-10 means and he gives up and brings another person who seems to be knowledgeable and he tries for 5 minutes and he gives up and somebody else needs to come for fixing these. Why are they not adding more knowledgeable people? We will have to wait in the queue until this is sorted out. I have even seen the attender leaving the window while serving a customer and then nobody has any idea where they have gone, I have seen multiple times people walk off from the pharmacy after being frustrated by the customer service. Once I had to wait in the drive thru for almost 10 minutes before being attended. Somebody did tell me that they are going to be with me soon though :). I opt for this walgreens just because it is easily accessible for those who stay in maryland heights. But I should tell that few people in the store are really helpful. I would say this is just an OK walgreens with respect to customer satisfaction.
Will never go to the xspress clinic again they obviously don’t know what they are doing in their second time I’ve been told they can’t help me what’s the point of having one if you can’t help people
The store itself is standard Walgreens. The pharmacy is junk, dont go here for that. Ive been going here for a couple years, and about half the time prescriptions arent ready to be picked up after an hour. Tonight its been over an hour and a half for my son with a fever, done with this. Last time I go here, trying schnucks across the street for a while.
Pharmacy here is terrible. Wait times are ridiculous (45 minutes to get an antibiotic). Customer service is poor. Follow-up on delayed prescriptions is variable and depends on who is working.
Needed to pick up rx.
Worst store ever! Im going to call corporate tomorrow.
Prescription is never ready on time. Always behind, and terrible customer service. Worst Walgreens Ive had the displeasure of expreriencing.
I work for a healthcare office and waited on hold for 26 minutes before being disconnected trying to leave a prescription for a patient.
Take care clinic is a joke my wife was diagnosed wrong . Guess they always say its a virus when they dont know whats going on what a joke!!!!!
Love The place
The pharmacy is extremely slow every single time I have been there.
This is my drug store.
Pathetic service. Stood in line for my turn, they were not ready with pickup and asked to wait while they get it ready.! Once ready to pickup, they want me to stand in line again to get my drugs.! Representative was blank on process.!
Ok
One line
