Just bough a car there this past weekend and received amazing service. Robert and the team were extremely helpful in getting me the exact car I needed. Everyone at the dealership was very friendly and it was even Hawaiian t-shirt day. Financing was quick and they offered me a fair trade in value on my old vehicle. The most pushy of salesman I’ve ever had the displeasure of meeting. Made me feel like a minnow being surrounded by 4 teeth bearing sharks. 1st time car buyers BEWARE. They hear it’s your first time buying a car and they’ll throw in 4,000 dollars in “fees and processing”. Ran my credit without my approval and had a loan ready to go after 10 minutes of meeting and every third sentence was sign right here. Military recruiters are not as desperate and predatory as the staff at Marysville NW motor.These people embody the “sleazy used car-salesman” stereotypes to the entirety. I’ve also heard loads of lemons being sold through this lot after I shared my experience with friends from the area. There’s plenty of other car lots, let this one close down. Also take a look at the better business bureau. They’ve had 60 claims in three years, long track record of shady actions and lawsuits.

Recently I bought a new truck & I have had nothing but issues from 30 minutes after I drove it off the lot. This was the worst car buying experience I have ever had hands down. Before I left I asked if the 7 prong plug connector worked because I was going camping & towing a trailer. I was told, yeah it works we check all those things youll be fine. The truck had less than 1/4 tank in it. After spending 38k on the truck, salesman Robert put a whole $20 in the truck. On my way home the check engine light came on. I was told it was because we put fuel in the truck. Turns out it was due to the recall on the truck. Why wouldnt they handle it prior to having it on the lot. I drop it off on Tuesday evening so they can work on it. They fixed the trailer plug & sent the truck to Dodge to have the check engine light handled. I had an appointment scheduled the next morning to get air bags installed, I had to pick it up. On my way to drop it off Thursday morning I get a warning to service my ABS & trailer brake. Turns out the lift they had put on was not inspected & caused the ABS line to be broken. This should have been inspected prior to being sold. The work that had to be done cost my fiancé a day of work & our vacation to be delayed. Friday morning Dodge calls asking where the lug nut key is. The lug nut key was not in the truck. No one at NWMS knew what happened to it. How do you not make sure the lug nut key is in it? I get the run around & blame game that Les Schwab must have it or didnt give it to them. Les Schwab came out & broke off the lug nut. After I returned from camping, the check engine light came on again. I went to the DMV to talk about transferring my specialized plates because Cole informed me they don’t do the transfer & I need to do it online. The DMV tells me that’s not possible, the dealership should have done it at the time of the sale. I contacted Cole, Finance Manager, about returning the truck. He said he would help me get into a new truck. He told me to pick out a couple trucks. He informed me he had structured a deal to get me into a new truck & asked when I could come in. I informed him first thing Friday morning. He said that would work. Guess who wasn’t available that morning so I got passed back to Robert. Robert had no idea what was going on & come to find out there was no deal structured. Robert told me they wouldn’t have to run my credit again since it was within the 30 day mark. That ended up being a lie. When I called him on it he got defensive saying he wasn’t a liar, obviously you are. After going back & forth on trucks, they ended up showing me an offer that would basically trade me out of the truck I bought & back into my original truck at a higher amount than what I owed when I traded it in. They said they would take the refund from my warranty & gap to help cover the negative balance. I asked why the deal couldn’t be canceled. According to the bank it was possible, they would just have to send the bank the request. I was told that was not possible by the sales manager. I’m tired of the run around & games. I had been at work all night, I was tired & just wanted to get out of there. Long story short, I got my truck back w/new tires, owing about $2k more than when I traded it in, lost my down payment. I called about getting a refund for the theft protection I bought, I was told that was rolled into my down payment. The down payment amount reflected $4400. The refunds of the warranty, gap and theft equaled about $4958 which was more than the down payment. Looking at my truck, I remembered there was rust on the running boards, they just painted over it. Who paints over rust? How is that Honesty & Integrity? Nothing about this buying experience reflects the Honesty, Integrity, Loyalty, Trust model they live by. Be aware theyre tricky, slick, lie & then back track when you call them on it. Look at the vehicle, check for painted over rust. I did the survey they sent, got that follow up call apologizing that I had a bad experience & they lost my business. They don’t give a damn about you.

Recently purchased a $45000 vehicle here. Saleman was great. The finance manager was very rude and unprofessional. He was heavy handedly pushing an expensive warranty when he made the comment that we had already made the mistake of buying the vehicle. This was minutes after signing the purchasing agreement. He smoozed us until the moment we signed and literally taunted us with the mistake we just made I have never experienced this level of unprofessionalism.

I just purchased a 2019 Ford Ranger from Bryan Gutierrez at the Marysville location. I couldnt be happier! It was such a nice change from the usual stress environment of other dealers. Bryan and I had been corresponding thru text and I decided to look at 2 vehicles. When I arrived the vehicles were waiting for me to look at. After test driving, I decided which vehicle I wanted and began the process. So easy and laid back-no pressure at all. They even lowered my payments from the previous vehicle. Went there Wednesday 8/26/2020 to look at a 2010 black Santa Fe. Mike Preston helped me, after taking it for a test drive I notice oiling leaking from drain plug. They had to no tools to tighten the plug. Throughout the whole process oil was slowing leaking. Didnt seem like anyone cared. I was already approved by my bank, but Mike told me to fill out a credit app, which was not my intent. About 8 hard inquiries hit my credit back to back. Mike didnt care about the customer he cared for numbers and sales. Worst experience ever, cancel the purchase. Will never go back to northwest motorsports. Sokha Son

I was able to arrange a car transfer to a store local to my home. This was done quickly and I was able to test drive the following day. Car was in very good shape, as described and clean. Salesperson was professional and contacted me quickly. No pressure from the salesperson who was available to answer questions and set up the deal without too much back and forth.

I was very interested in buying a jeep and I thought to stop by here since my dad referred me bc he does a lot of business with them. So I stopped by one day and I told them I’ve never bought a car from a dealer nor have I actually done anything through a loan or a credit app. I felt very pushed when I was looking through Jeep’s and they pushed me into looking into a older jeep which wasn’t what I was thinking about getting. And they kept on saying take it for a joy ride and blah blah. Then we went inside and I cleared with them that I’m deaf and it takes me longer to under stand a lot of things. So I took my time reading through things. I felt rushed to sign things I wasn’t even understanding what was going on. I don’t remember what the names were, this was almost a year ago and I’ve been scared to talk or go to a dealer ship since. So I told them to wait so I can text my dad and see if he can come by and look at the jeep. They kept on asking for a down payment to take it to the shop my dad works at and I told them no, and that they can have my id or they can come with while my dad looks at it. They kept on saying that they have “professionals” to look at everything before they sell. But the thing is they were so worried about me buying a warranty to go with the jeep. If they have such a good professionals to look at everything then why are you asking for more money to make me get a warranty? They screwed up my credit and they didn’t even explain what they were doing. My dad fully explained everything to me and now he has no trust in this dealer. I’m just sad that I gave my first try into a business that my dad first had good guts about then just ended up being a bunch of people just making you pay for nothing.

I bought an Excursion from NWMS from the Puyallup location because I needed 1 for a road trip I had planned. There were some little issues which the salesman tried to blame on fuses (those components dont have fuses). So hopefully you know something about cars because they dont. It looked really good, even the undercarriage looked good, did not see any significant leaks. Test drove well. Only real issue is the ac was not working. We worked out a deal that NWMS would fix it, because they said it is a safety issue. NWMS also said if something came up they would try to make it right because I asked if they would help out if I broke down after buying it. On the 2 hour drive home we started getting a strong exhaust and fuel smell in the cab, got home and significant amount of smoke is rolling out of the engine. Oil is dripping on the exhaust, which can be a fire hazard. I start by calling the salesman, who is now not returning any calls. Sales mangers were blowing me off because i did not finance it. Tried to contact customer support, got an email from a sales manager asking what kind of car they can sell me. I get it into the Lynnwood location, they cannot locate the oil leak and add dye (leak is coming from intake and head). Blamed fuel smell on recent injector work, said it should go away soon. They charged the ac but did not even look at how much my system needs so they did not put enough and I had to take it back. Start my road trip and the ac stops working and the engine starts overheating on day 1, at this point I am halfway across the state though and have to start limping along trying to find parts because it is now a Friday evening. Had to replace water pump and compressor. Ac makes it almost a full day then the condensor blows. Then the expansion valve goes bad. I have charged my ac 5 times now. For a company that specifically sells used cars, they definitely did not look at this one very well. The repair bills have been stacking up and I am not done fixing everything yet. I waited to post this review so they would have a chance to help me out, but here we are.

I wish I could give zero stars! Their employees dont know how to drive and tried to run me off the road after almost rear ending me at a light around the corner from them when i slowed down for a yellow light. My daughter went in since she witnessed it and the sales person lied to her and told her that it was a customer who just purchased the truck from Puyallup and didnt have all the paperwork? The truck sitting on their lot has the same wheels, there was no temp tag on the vehicle like it was just purchased, and the one that tried to hit me still had all the papers in the windshield!I had my grandson in the car. Avoid these con artists at all costs and watch out for them on the road!Also to top it off, none of them were wearing a mask when my daughter went to ask them about it lol

We have purchased many vehicles in the past and some of them were relatively good experiences while others were anything but pleasant. Purchasing from NWMS, though, was by far the quickest, easiest and most enjoyable experience we have had buying a vehicle. We never felt like we were being pushed, we got a great value on our trade in and everyone was very friendly and made us feel comfortable through the whole process (which took less than 2 hours from start to finish). My wife and I have been looking for a Ram 3500 dually for about 6 months. We came across a listing of theirs that was an almost new truck at a GREAT price. They took a trade on a truck that was underpowered (we needed to haul horses) and a BMW convertible that my wife never used. Ken, our sales guy, and the sales manager were low pressure and HONEST. The closest thing to pressure was they asked if they could make the numbers work, if we would buy the truck right then and there (which we did). The finance manager did not try to sell us stuff that we did not want. Normally I would be hesitant to go to a non dealer lot to buy a truck like this, but these guys are AWESOME. Thank you!

My sister was interested in purchasing a truck from here, the salesman said it would be easier to get her a loan if I was a co-applicant. They told her she was approved, took her down payment, and ordered the truck. She ended up not going through with the purchase, they were trying really hard to sell her a truck that hadnt had all its maintenance and had really high miles for the year (and tried convincing her many times that it had a normal amount of miles on it.) They argued every reason she gave for not wanting it. When she told them she wanted her down payment back, they tried to give her a receipt for 1/4 of the down payment addressed to me! Now I just got a bunch of letters of application denial in the mail, saying they were being sent in MY name and she was the CO-APPLICANT? Thats absolutely ridiculous.

They have nice vehicles but a large majority of them come out of Canada. They tried to tell me that coming out of Canada does not change the value. That is incorrect but Im not going to argue with someone when it is not worth my time. Im a cash buyer and I will just go elsewhere. They are not the only ones selling vehicles in WA.

Watch out for what they pay for your trade!!! And they push a lot of expensive add on costs that you might not want on your contract. My good friend just bought here. I looked at the deal...... I wish I had been here before he signed, sad but to late.Seem nice enough people here, but they didnt do him any favors☹️His salesperson Kevin was a good guy, the price of the truck was fair enough......just a lot of add ons, about $6000 extra he didnt need.

My parents recently stopped in at my recommendation to look at a lower mileage Trailblazer. They were put in contact with Shane who was awesome the whole way through. He didnt try to upsell them at all and helped them through the process, even knowing they were paying cash. He is the only reason this review is a 5 star right now.The trouble came once they got into the finance office. They didnt even get the guys name because he was moving so fast to get them to sign everything and get them out. Pretty typical for a lower priced cash deal. However, they were never offered Etch and never had it explained to them. Once they got home and looked at the paperwork the next day, the finance person had added Etch in without telling them and covered it up as a discount to their taxes and licensing fees. Initially it was upwards of $900 but then he reduced it to around $300 and added the $500 Etch so it looked like a $100 discount on the total price, which is the only real number he actually gave them.My parents are on a fixed income and simply cant afford to lose $500 without so much as an explanation. Having worked for NWMS previously, I know this is not the norm so I wanted to bring it to light. I still refer people to NWMS because of my experience working there and the people. This kind of shady sales tactic on the finance persons part is completely unacceptable though.Again, Shane is awesome and the only reason this review is 5 stars. I cant say the next one will be if more of my referrals have a similar experience in Marysville once they hit the finance office though.

Bought a car a Mazda 3 for our daughter. Our daughter had the best experience with her car salesman David Koch! He was so gracious, and kind. He took the time to answer all of our questions and gave us the perfect down payment and monthly payments! - Called to schedule appt to see vehicle and was given the “I dunno if that vehicle is still available, someone was driving that earlier today and was VERY interested, you’d better get down here quickly” line.- They would not give me blue book value for my trade and claimed “their vehicles are so aggressively priced that they can’t afford to do that”. I asked “well if I didn’t have a trade, that wouldn’t change your list price for your vehicle, so why can’t I get blue book value for my trade”. They kind of hemmed and hawed at this and didn’t give me a straight answer. It was early in our meeting so I chose not to fight this battle and keep things friendly.- Even though I said I was going to pay cash, they insisted in running my credit report. I keep a security freeze on my credit. They decided to “help” me get this lifted so they could run the credit report, even though I protested. Instead of temporarily lifting my credit freeze, they accidently put a fraud alert on my credit that I then had to go through additional steps to fix still they had me lift my credit freeze and ran my credit for no reason. They claimed it was so they would know what interest rate to charge me in case my payments bounced.- 80% of the documents that I had to sign for the paperwork part had errors on them and it took probably twice as long to go through this process than it would have if they had the documents filled out correctly the first time.- They did not complete the work they promised, in the sales contract (“we owe” document), on my vehicle. Seriously, they didn’t do it. I nagged them for a month.- They acted like everything I got as part of the vehicle (two keys, owner’s manual, floor mats, etc) they were doing me a HUGE favor. I came from 100 miles away for this vehicle and when I had spoken to the sales man on the phone the day prior and he had promised to have the truck ready and fueled when I showed up. Conversely, when I go in for the test drive, the tank was on E and the fuel light was on. While negotiating the price, I had to fight to get enough gas in the car in order to drive the truck home. Basically, you’ll be lucky if you get out of there with enough screws to mount your license plates.- False oil change sticker: The dealer had told me the history of the vehicle that they had acquired it from a dealer in Canada and when they imported it to the US it had undergone a full inspection, to include an oil change, and a mandatory time period to be in the US before sale. The oil change sticker on the windshield reflected as much and said the vehicle had almost 4k miles left until the next oil change. When I was going through the features, I noticed the dash said oil life was at 8%. I figured someone must have just forgotten to press the “reset” button during the last oil change. But to better safe than sorry I decided to do an oil change myself. When I drained the existing oil in the vehicle, it was definitely old and could not have been as new as the sticker on the windshield claimed.- bottom line, I don’t intend to deal with them again, and unless they have a vehicle that you specifically want and cannot get anywhere else, I would not recommend wasting your time to deal with this place.

Not a great experience this Fall. I was interested in a used hybrid and planned to sell or trade-in my SUV. The initial low-ball offer on my trade-in I was able to negotiate upward, but I decided to sell it to Carmax for a lot more.Padded fees - The salesman gave me numbers for the car I was interested in, which included $495 “Total Financed Aftermarkets fee that was being rolled into the sales price, and $981.50 for “license and fees”. I challenged the Aftermarkets fee and got it removed. WA License fees are only about $250 for hybrids so I would have had to get the $981 adjusted down too.Deception? – Taking the car for a test drive the engine sounded loud to me so the salesman said assuringly that it was just the CVT transmission used in hybrids that caused the loudness. Not so, I found out after I took it to a mechanic. (Btw, Hyundai hybrids don’t have CVT)Mechanical inspection – I took the car to an experienced local mechanic for pre-purchase inspection and the most offensive issue for me was the log of wood jammed against the muffler to keep it in place (I have the mechanic’s photo showing the log placement and where the missing mounting should be). So that was the loud noise, not the non-existent CVT.When I told them I was not going forward and the log/muffler situation was the biggest turn off, a salesman said via text “it definitely happened after inspecting it (meaning their own safety inspection) and it isn’t something that would make it unsafe either way” and “for all we know that piece of wood was ran over while it was in your possession”. Nice.So Ladies, do your research before you buy a used car – check online for articles about buying a used car, dealership fees, and what your current car is worth as a trade-in (I used Autotrader, CarGurus, Edmunds), expect to be low-balled and stand firm even if they are ungracious towards you. Research what the car you like is actually selling for as best you can (Craigslist, online forums). And if you do nothing else, spend $100-$200 for a pre-purchase mechanical inspection from a reputable mechanic before you sign a purchase contract. It’s a small investment that could save you thousands.

They have a car online that has been sold for over a week, even though some guy on the phone said he saw someone test driving it the day we visited. Then I test drove a car that had a few issues. They were solid with their $3000 over price would not come down. Owners excuse for it being over priced was that this car is not for me. he was also very rude.

I purchased a used car from them in February. Salesperson was great. Finance guy was ok, but what ruined the experience for me was that the car was dirty...and I mean DIRTY. At first glance, car looked clean and great but when I got home and gave it a once over I found a water bottle under the seat, key chains, coins (of course), food, matches...etc. It was trash basically. Its just not what I expected from them. I guess I set my hopes too high. OH! and I found a 10mm socket behind the headlight! Do what you want with this information.
