Didn’t deliver the right amount of gravel the first time called and they sent someone to deliver more and it still wasn’t the right amount. I Will not use their service again. was going to buy my flowers and stuff there this year but due to their lack of gravel delivery capabilities I will not be using their services or facility again. PLEASE DO NOY GET GRAVEL DELIVERED FROM HERE IT IS A RIP OFF AND TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! Mr. Townsend I believe was his name emailed me said he’d make it right and did not. Thank you for this awful experience and the lack of gravel in my drive way.

1 star at best!!!My girlfriend and I went in April and she purchased a Coral Bark Japanese Maple tree. She purchased delivery and planting of tree and was told 3 weeks for delivery. Call before you dig came and marked yard within two weeks and then nothing. She called back and asked about it and they told her they could not give her a new date before summer so she choose to wait until fall. She has called a couple more times to check on the tree. I called today October 15, and was going to go get it and surprise her for her birthday. They told me they had sold it and she would have to wait on next shipment. Who sells something has already been sold. Not good business in my opinion.

Outstanding job! We have had our front yard landscaped twice in the past 18 years by small landscape companies, both times we told them we wanted low maintenance, both times we ended up with cheap shrubs and bushes planted in places they weren’t suited for. I wish we had gone to Out of Eden to begin with.Mike amazed us with his knowledge. He saw what we were struggling with before we said anything. Mike created a design that has taken our yard from hodgepodge to a showcase. His crew was awesome, friendly and hardworking. Everything was cleaned up before they left each day. We highly recommend Out of Eden!

Yes went to place of business..lined up a appointment to go over my property with the designer Kenny...everything went well except one thing..He never show for appointment nor did he even call..you make the decision..not good businessOk so received a call back from Kenny. Reset a appointment for later in week. Things went very good ..went over property and came up with a game plan. Will call back for future business. YES

We’ve worked with Out of Eden for a number of years, continually calling on Liz’s expertise from a landscaping perspective and Brandon’s knowledge in the Garden Center. After 5 years of doing at least one larger scale project annually, I continue to be amazed at the teams professionalism and knowledge. Liz ensures the work is done as outlined and is always very involved through each phase of the project. I would recommend this company based simply on the knowledgeable, customer centric and professional staff they employ. We’ve never been disappointed when teaming with Out of Eden for our projects from the yard, to the porch, to inside the home around the holidays.

Liz and her team provided great design options to help us in redesigning our front yard. The work was begun when promised and completed ahead of schedule. The team really took pride in their workmanship. The project was exactly on budget as presented in their proposal.Many of our neighbors have stopped to praise the new design.We have asked Liz and her team to now do additional work in other parts of the property. Can’t wait for those projects to be completed.

Out of Eden landscape professionals did an outstanding job for me. I had them prepare a design for my new home and they worked with me throughout the process. Liz Goodman, Brian and Emmanuel worked hard before and during the installation. I have had numerous comments from neighbors on how great everything looks. These folks were professional and exceptionally friendly. Great job and highly recommended.

If I could give a negative rating, I would! We called to schedule a landscaping appointment. The woman on the phone said there was a $250 charge that would be credited back to us when time to pay for new landscaping. An extremely nice and knowledgeable young woman came to the house and walked the yard and went over the scope of work. I asked her for a ballpark estimate for what I wanted done. We are new to the area and have never had this type of work done before. She said somewhere between $10,000 - $20,000 would be a good guess for us. When she was leaving she asked for the payment. It had jumped from $250 to $1000 now....I explained that when I made the appointment two weeks before they said it was $250. She explained that the new amount took effect yesterday. We agreed that the ten to twenty thousand budget worked for us, and we would get the $1000 credit when we paid our final bill. She left with the understanding that she and her intern would be back to take exact measurements to begin work on our plan. I need to tell you that we have a very small yard, we live in a zero lot line villa community in the area. A few days later I get a call asking if she can come back with her supervisor. They came and he did what he called an “interview” so she could learn from him. My plans did not change, what I asked for did not change, the scope of work did not change - only the supervisors presence. A few weeks later they both come back, he does all the talking...after an hour listening to him we get to the final price - $63,000! In his interview he asked if I wanted large rocks in the yard - I said NO...yet they are now part of the plan. I was in shock and basically speechless. My husband showed them to the door. We are now the proud owners of a $1000 professionally drawn landscaping plan - worthless. I should have sent them on their way when the price went from $250 to$1000...live and learn. If you are looking for a landscape plan - I have one I will give you for free! Just stay away from this place!!! There is A LOT of new construction happening here in our neighborhood - I have made it my mission to share my experience with everyone I possibly can.

I have purchased from Out of Eden several times and have always been very pleased with my purchase. They have always answered all my questions and even offered advice on how to care for a blue atlas cedar tree that wasn’t doing so well. Most recently I purchased river rock and had it delivered. I am pleased with my rock and can’t wait to finish my flower beds.

Went to Out of Eden to look for plants for new yard project. Was very impressed with Marty as he assisted me in determining if the plants I wanted would work in a very sunny area of my yard. I was leaning towards another landscaper but was so impressed with the knowledge of the employees and after meeting with the owner I decided to use Out of Eden for the whole project. Work was done to perfection and on time. Appreciated the suggestions by the owner as they improved on the overall look and function of the bed.Would not hesitate to recommend their services to family and friends.

Fantastic hard working polite crew. The folks on the ground in the dirt seem to enjoy what they are doing. My design/plan changed a couple of times along the way at the recommendation of Liz, who brought expertise and logic to our project. Our initial design had some plants that would mature to be to big for the space that we were designing, thanks to Lizs eye (review) on the project we were able to change before they got in the ground. Thanks for always answering my many inquiries. Great crew.

2 stars is for the people outside in the plant area. Especially Electra who made finding the right shrubs very easy and pleasant. The prices were a bit higher than other places but we felt we were getting a better quality so we were ok with that.Due to a recent surgery we decided to pay for installation which we were told included compost, soil amendment, bed turnover, and top mulch. We also chose to pay for delivery so the plants would be cared for since installation would be 2 weeks out. All of our vehicles could easily fit the 8 plants, but we wanted them to arrive healthy!Needless to say they all arrived stressed, bone dry, and not in great shape. They were dropped in the holes and covered with dirt! When i asked about it I was told that was what they were told to do. All the rest was a different service.I went back a few days later to express my dissatisfaction. The staff in the shop were very nice and tried to call the landscape manager who was out. She spoke to them, but was apparently too busy to speak with me! They said she would call the next week to address the issue. They did give me a partial refund but there has still been no phone call!!!What a disappointment! There are other places to go in East TN! Their outside is beautifully done! Their staff in the garden area and in the store are very good! The management is horrendous! Follow up is non existent! It seems they customer satisfaction means very little to them!

When I called to place an order of gravel for the driveway I was told 3 tons would cover it. However when they delivered it the amount received barely covered a 1/4 of my driveway. The look of the two small piles were just 3 scoops not 3 tons. The driver would not spread what little gravel I did instead made two dump piles. I tried to call during business hours no one answered plus the voice mail is full. I am angry for being shorted gravel that wont cover the driveway. NEVER WILL I GO TO THIS PLACE FOR GRAVEL. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!!!

Great place- especially if you get the right person to help you. Tyler and Brandon are awesome. Brandon is my go-to guy for dependable advice. Sometimes I pay a little more for products here than at a big-box store, but the quality and the variety are better, and when I am making a purchase where service matters, Out of Eden is the place to go.

I love this place. They have a gorgeous selection of plants that are well cared for. They also have lovely patio and garden decor items (throw pillows, fountains, chimes, planters, etc... If you are looking to do some serious landscaping, or just to brighten your porch with some annuals this is your spot! My only complaint is that items are often times not priced. This is annoying when youre trying to shop and keep aware of your budget. I hate having to hunt someone down to ask about price. This has cost them a few sales from this shopper. Otherwise, I highly recommend Out of Eden. You wont be disappointed with their selection.

I have dealt with Out of Eden three times in past two months.First my landscaping needed to be trimmed and mulched for spring. After contacting OOE, I met with Kenny and he gave me different options and prices. In short order the job was done and the debris from the trimming was completely cleaned up.Last week I bought ferns and flowers for planters on my deck from their extensive inventory.Finally due to the Covid 19 virus my daughter’s wedding was moved from our church to our home. I needed some landscaping done in a hurry so I met with Kenny again on Monday and the job was finished 3 days later.I have used OOE in the past and needless to say I will certainly use them in the future.

The plant selection is incredible!! Everything is so healthy and the prices are good. The staff is helpful, especially Tyler!!! He always takes the time to answer all my questions and gives very good planting advice. The only place to buy your plants!!

We received a truckload of mulch. Its quality was great. The driver did an outstanding job in placing the load just where we wanted it. The company and the driver get a thumbs up from us!

Was quoted a price for a few hours of labor to remove some ivy off 5 trees. I received a bill for 3 times the amount quoted. Spoke to the owner and was still billed twice what I was quoted. Seems they feel they can charge whatever they please

Weve had them come to do landscaping projects at our home twice now and cant recommend them enough. They have been great to work with from brainstorming & planning through to completion. The crew has always been super friendly and accommodating to any requests that Ive had. I just cant say enough good things about everyone I have interacted with in their landscaping department!

If you want excellent service from staff who are extremely helpful and knowledgeable, then absolutely go to Out of Eden Garden Center! If you don’t want to be taken care of then go somewhere else! We went to several places and this place outranks them ALL on EVERYTHING from the quality of products to excellent customer service by far! We will never go anywhere else!

From the beginning stages of this project to seeing it to the end, Out of Eden was a great business to work with. We have a new house and were in need of great advice for plant material. Lex was great to come out to our house, meet me, and lay out a beautiful design for the landscaping. The workers were thorough and did a wonderful job placing plants and cleaning up after. I would recommend this business for all your landscaping needs.

The ladies are so knowledgeable and helpful! My garden wouldnt look as good as it does without their guidance and assistance. They take the time to help you care for your plants. I love the newsletters I get emailed with helpful tips as well.

They performed scheduled maintenance on my rider mower. Came and picked it up and dropped it off on schedule. Even worked around my difficult scheduling issues. Turnaround was very quick and the mower runs great and looks practically new. All the staff I worked with was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

A few years ago we hoped to start a total landscaping renovation and called OoE. One of the owners came to the house, took notes and drew up some plans. When she was a nice lady and I gave her a $100 bill as a deposit, she had not asked for the deposit but I offered, in good faith. Shortly after, life happened and since we had 4 young children, the $10K landscaping job was put on the back burner. Fast forward, a few years later. We called OoE and asked the same lady about the plans she had drawn. She replied that OoE did not keep the landscape blueprints on file and they had most likely been destroyed. When we asked about the $100 I had given her, she said they would not carry over the $100 I gave her a few years before. I still remember that money was hard to come by and figure that was a cheap lesson to learn. We landscaped with a smaller company and are perfectly happy with our decision.

Love this garden center. Carrie successfully helps me every time I come. Dont miss this gem when you are planning your garden.

Typically a great place, but today at 4:00 PM very poor. For a nice Spring day, not nearly enough staff and those who were there were totally inexperienced and overwhelmed. Worst experience we have had in 8 years of shopping and spending a lot of money there.

If you have the landscaping bug and are not sure of what to put in that shady spot or the place that gets lots of sun or how big the plant gets and any other question you may have, then this the place for you to go and ask, as they know the answers to all of your questions. Ask for Rosemary or Petunia or Lily or Daisy or Violet. If none of them are there, Im sure the staff that is working will be able to help you.

Out of Eden was Aerating my neighbors yard when they hit my fence with the machine. They said they would have my fence repaired.More than a month passed and my fence wasnt repaired so i call the owner Lex McCarty. He called me back and was very dismissive, he offered me a $100 gift certificate to forget about. He basically stated that even though my fence was bent and the paint was chipped that it was still functional and he thought it was silly to replace the whole fence panel because that would be too expensive. I told him I would like my fence restored to the state it was in before his company damaged it. He said he thought that was going too far.Its obvious to my that Lex has an integrity problem. If he refuses to fix this small problem his company created I imagine he would do the same to anyone his company wronged when he deemed it too expensive. I am a small business owner and I make things right if I make a mistake. Its sad to me that Business owners like Lex have such a lack of integrity. You would think if Lex is all about the money (which he obviously is), that he would see that the loss of sales will cost him a lot more than paying for my fence (Which his company broke).I will pay to have my fence repaired and I will tell everyone in my neighborhood and everyone I do business with how Lex and out of Eden treated me regarding this matter and hopefully they will choose to take their business elsewhere.

Plants seem healthy. However, having them plant or do other landscaping apparently requires the property owner to supervise everything they do. Fortunately I was watching out the front window when they planted 2 trees in the front yard and I went out and pointed out the 1st tree was leaning. The forewoman did not argue, pulled it out of hole and ordered one of workers with hole digging machine to make hole deeper. That and the other tree were then planted properly in front of the house. They also seemed to get 3 more trees in 7 gallon pots planted ok so I quit watching. The rest of plantings looked ok from afar as they got toward the end of project. However, within 3 days of watering 3 other trees started leaning and were very easy to straighten when I used my feet to tamp down the dirt. However. It then became obvious the nice mulch rings had been hiding fact the trees were in too shallow holes.At the time the workers there, I specifically asked the forewoman was she aware that the invoice also had the pruning of a crape myrtle. She said yes but when I showed her the crape myrtle which towers above the roof line and said I wanted it trimmed below the eaves and to look like a shrub not a tree, she said she did not have proper tools and would have to come back the next morning. No one came the next day. But I received a call they would come the next day. I said I had an appointment I could not change but I thought the forewoman knew what I wanted. The next day when I returned home the crape myrtle still was visibly above the roof so I did not walk over to look at it until the next day when I went out for early morning watering. It was apparent that out of eden person had been there a trimmed back only the branches rubbing against the house. One branch was cut back at ground level and 3 or 4 small branches were cut and left lying between a privacy fence hiding the heat pump and the heat pump. Since I could have done such minimal trimming myself, I am not happy about paying an exorbitant price for maybe 2 minutes of work. And I now have to go get top soil and more mulch to put around the trees in shallow holes. Out of eden garden manager has not responded to my complaint.I posted negative review only to fi d that because the photos I attached to emails to garden center were too large, he did not get the emails before my posting. Afterwards a response from him indicated he saw the 2 main issues immediately and forwarded to the owner to address with landscaping crew. The next day the owner called me and said he would get the crew out to replant the redbud and suggested I wait til January when the crape myrtle was fully dormant and they would come cut it back as far as I wanted. I agreed and did not raise the other issues that I had considered minor because my lawn guy had already told me it was fairly common for people here to plant trees with the rootball tops about an inch above rest of ground and the 2 I was concerned about had already been settling in for a week. The next day, the owner called and said he double checked with the UT degrees horticulturist on his staff and the best time for major cut back was February zo he was going to change their calendar to do it then.The following day 2 of the 3 person crew came back and took a huge amount of compost out of the hole and replanted the redbud, so everything now looks fine. Everyone involved in this correction, including the planting crew was very pleasant and accommodating. The trees look great and I have now revised the negative review to 5 stars.
