I loved this place my wife bought some books I grabbed some graphic novels that were hard to find..plus the owner I loved her she was awesome and down to earth and had a rather nice selection of books

Every visit feels personal and comforting. The shopkeep goes above and beyond to help their customers any chance they get.

This bookstore is a gem! The owner took her time to recommend titles to my sister and I, and explain why. She even unearthed some additional literature based on our choices. Her love for books is infectious. When we left the store I felt like we had made a friend. While their selection is not yet at 100% (she is still gathering more titles) I could have spent hours looking though those shelves. She had something for everyone. I think this stop was worth the trip!

This was a great bookstore to check out! They have a large variety of books and a very attentive staff. I heard other customers coming in to pick up books that they had ordered while others came in to place orders.They definitely care about helping their customers, which is very important in an economy that uses Amazon so much. Stop in and support a local book store. They also sell locally relevant books.

Its tough to say enough good things about this gem of a bookshop.We were visiting Massachusetts family for Christmas and wanted to gift everyone in the family with a book on Christmas Eve. In order to make this happen, we had stopped at 3 (!) different big-box bookstores on our way up from Virginia, and were still only halfway through our 10 person gift list.And on the 23rd we discovered Market Street Books. The selection is curated, and the staff has excellent taste. Instead of scouring the shelves to find something acceptable, I was suddenly finding excellent books everywhere and was juggling books into my husbands arms, trying to decide which excellent title I should give the remaining family members. Christmas eve book giving was a huge success, and I returned after the holiday to pick up some new titles for myself. The staff was happy to make recommendations for my next great read!

The woman who owns this bookstore is one of the sweetest people Ive ever met in retail. I dont stop in a lot as Im a library regular, but everytime I have weve had great conversations about books and shes always recommended me something that Ive really enjoyed. She even managed to be gracious last time I visited in the heart of Christmas Eve chaos. Theres also a lovely fountain where you can sit and read outside.

I have been to this bookstore many times over the years, and can tell you from experience, you will always find the perfect book for you. Cynthia (the main employee) is about as nice and helpful a person you will meet, as well as just the person to ask if you need help finding a book. Definitely a place worth checking out.

My favorite bookshop! We have a Cape house and every summer I go in and give them a list of books and they recommend something that I would like. They have been right on every book. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable.

Nicest lady that worked there! I thought maybe she was the owner but not postitive. She was so helpful and sweet. She helped my boyfriend find a book he was looking for and made other recommendations. She even gave me half price off of my book because she said she had it in the store for awhile. Definitely going back.

This is my favorite bookstore. End of story.I always find things here that I have never seen anywhere else, or that I didnt even know about. And if youre looking for something specific they will order for you.To me, this is an essential stop when I go to Cape Cod. I would go here every week if I could! The owner is helpful and sweet and always seems to know every book in the store- no matter what section- and she can always make recommendations for any genre.If you visit Mashpee Commons you should definitely stop in!

I bring my 2 young grandsons into the bookstore and Cynthia, the owner, is always so helpful and patient finding them books they would like. Granted, they are very well behaved but she is genuinely interested in them and their reading.

Suprisingly they have a good selection of books for all ages. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Always end up leaving with something for myself or my daughter.

The owner supports local writers and authors, as well as writers from various marginalized communities, and has great taste to boot. If she doesnt have it, shell order it for you. If any bookstore is deserving of the Cape Cod dollar, its this one. Go in and chat with her about what youre reading. She cares!

I though this was a really nice bookstore with good diversity. It had a large young adult section as well as the classics.

I have been going to Market Street Bookshop for a few years now. It was the best choice i ever made to check it out. Cynthia bases her suggesions on what you have previously read. Books that wouldnt always be found in a library are there and are filled with excitement.

Bookshops are so rare these days ...this is a rare find ...lots of variety. ..plenty of room for browsing and a very friendly knowledgeable wait staff ...great place for a rainy afternoon!

Great little community bookshop with a good selection of books! Gave it three stars, however, because they apparently have a no pictures of books policy. An older staff member scolded my brother (30 yrs. old, so by no means a child) for using the Goodreads app to scan a books barcode to remember it. Personally, I think a small bookshop, especially in this day and age, should have no issue with customers taking pics of books to remember them.

This bookstore is fantastic. Mashpee is lucky to have a bookshop. Also, the staff are very friendly and know their books!
