If groceries are what you need, this is the place for you. Man, theyve got it all. Produce? Yep. Dry goods? Oh yeah! Dairy and frozen?? You betcha! Do they have fresh meats and fish? What a stupid question. YOU KNOW THEY DO, ITS A GROCERY STORE! Why are you still reading this? Just go there already!

This store is the best. The employees are very friendly and the store is always clean. They also have the best meat around.

I would like to know why everyone working there has such a sour look on their faces all the time and why they scowl at me when I approach them.

I miss the old check out. Now theres self checkout, and the machines are weird and touchy compared to Walmarts and Targets ones. If you dont get the item into a bag immediately after you scan it, like less then a sec, you have to wait for assistance, just dumb. I am like trying to get a bag open to get an item into it, an oops it took too long. Darn bags are hard to get apart. I got to remember to get a bag ready before I start I guess, or bring your own bags if they let you.

The prices here have rose tremendously. I had to do a double-take a few times on alot of items.

Im a big fan of Fareway. Hands down, they have the BEST meat counter of all the bigger name supermarkets in town. It definitely keeps me coming back!

Fareway in Mason City is a friendly, efficient, well-maintained store. Now, at the end of October 2020, theyre adding kiosks so customers can scan their own groceries.

I like the friut and vegetables and the smaller store. I will not use the self check out. Sorry, i dont work there and you are taking away jobs for humans.

Normally it is good today it was not.

Normally a good experience, today however it was not. I recently had back surgery, I came in for a few items, as Im on a walker. I chose to not use the electric scooter because only 1 was available, surely someone other than I could use it. My checker didnt help me bring my basket to the counter (I was already in line to be served) she asked the gentlemen ahead of me if he wanted help with 2 bags, he declined. She did not ask if I needed help, in fact none of the workers asked if I needed help to my car. My problem was balance on a walker. Trying to balance bags on both sides of the walker, without falling over. Today was not a good experience at faraway. Same happened at hy vee a couple days ago difference being several workers asked if I needed help and they walked me to my car.

Never an unfriendly face! Easy and economical. The older I get, the more I appreciate the full service, and having carry out is wonderful

Always the best place for certain items we like and the help with groceries to the car is a plus.

This has 5 stars for the value of their goods & services. Item for item they are low cost and a good variety for their size of building. The meat department is excellent with a large choice of meat & poultry. They have very fresh vegetables as well as a good frozen food area. Plenty of parking and wheelchair accessible.

Stopped in the Mason City Fareway to grab a few things for dinner. Fresh produce and a great looking steak. Found a couple more good deals and got through checkouts fast. Love to shop at Fareway.

Great store, clean, friendly staff, well stocked. Only downside is, you tend to stand in line a while. They seem reluctant to open more checkout lanes sometimes. But one of my favorite stores regardless.

During the midst of a pandemic, it seemed like only 50% of customers wore masks today. I havent been to this Fareway for a month and I wont return until the store has implemented a mandatory mask order for customers.

Went in for their hamburger. Not only was the hamburger on sale so were the fresh buns.

Being from out of state Ive never heard of a Fareway grocery coming from the east coast and I loved how they were so friendly and helpful and even care to step out to the car if you needed it... That doesnt happen on the East Coast at least the north-east it doesnt
