Really enjoyed this place!! The Manga selection is huge! Also, the owner is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. For a nerd from out of town and stopping by, this place was a good spot to recharge and enjoy some comics and see some rad stuff before continuing on. Whenever I come back through Ill definitely be making it a priority to stop here.

Staff is very friendly and helpful! They know their stuff! They have a great selection and also offer unique products like custom jewelry, halloween face masks, and tumblers. If youre into star wars and star trek, they have vintage toys and collectibles. If youre into pop figures, they have a ton of those too! They also have a bunch of statues, figurines, and action figures!

Most of the staff is great to deal with and is willing to share their knowledge with you. They have a wide variety of board games, Magic the Gathering cards, comic books/graphic novels/manga, role playing games, and Funko Pops. If your looking for a niche item they might have it or could possibly order it for you. Cant wait for the game room to be open again.

Perfect space per capita, my first tournament here was 20 people with a few guests and an eight person table top campaign, we could have had more. If you want transformers, this is the place! This stores expanded since I last visited, and is putting together a solid gaming room for everything from miniature War gaming to pen and paper RPG.

Ive only been once, lookin to find out about table top gaming, and the employee wouldnt even acknowledge me. Ive spoken to other women who have had the same experience. As someone trying to get into table tops, it is very discouraging to not even be able to get a hello from the employee, let alone information. And yes, he looked me right in the eyes.

For years this place has been the scene for anything relating to the type of merchandise they sell. The other option, Oakleaf Comics, has seen its days, they have little to no friendly customer service and that Im better than you and your wasting my precious time approach to sales. But the owner and his staff of this place are the best, I remember the first time I walked into this place back in 95 I think, the store was over by Hobby Lobby, I was in middle school, have been stopping in occasionally ever since.

This place is freakin awesome! they have all sorts of shtuff. I bought some great Christmas presents @ Now & Then. and the staff was very friendly, as soon as I asked them a question about a game they talked my ears off. but I wasnt sneaking around and not buying anything. and the other gamers there were friendly to me, for my first time being at the place. it is a very nice atmosphere there. and they let your smoke out back and eat fast food inside, they even let you have bottled drinks inside and they sell drinks and candy. and they had the heat on it was pretty warm considering it was snowing outside. the place was well lit also.

Always love going here, make it a point to stop everytime we are in Mason city. Customer service is great, their employees are very knowledgeable. This last time we were there, they were hosting a magic the gathering prerelease. They have comics, table top games, magic cards, retro games, and tons of collectibles. A little bit of everything for everyone.

Came from out of town to check out this shop. They had a good selection of products, but the service was very bad. I wanted to take my time and look around, but the man working was basically staring us down as we browsed. After a short period of time, the man asked if we were going to buy anything because he had other things to work on. We were planning on spending money, but after this display of rudeness; we decided to leave immediately. I have never experienced service this bad.

I love their new space! Its bigger and well-lit (except for the manga section) and clean, and the workers (and customers!) there are nice. :) They have a huge, awe-inspiring comics/manga selection, which truly makes Now and Then the anime/manga lovers haven in little ol Mason City. I dont play Magic the Gathering often, but they seem to do well with that too, because my husband loved it. :) They also have a cute room full of board games, and the storefront has Pop figures and D&D books and other merchandise, so they really have so many nerdy, fun things in there for everyone!

My sister bought her fist manga there and bought it out of order. When we ask for a simple exchange he did say yes but also accused us of buying it for a quick read and return scam. She didnt even open the book since the store. We were offended. We wont look for an exchange and we definitely wont be going back. Hope all fair better than us. But be warned service gets mean when you start complaining.

With the new location and the new part owners this comic shop has really blossomed. Owners are very knowledgeable and obviously love what they do. They have a ton of selection; Graphic novels, manga, action figures, pops, plushies, board games and card games, retro video games, appareal, etc. They have a large game room in the back where they host magic tournaments, pokemon league, and board game demos. You can go in and use their tables for your games as long as there is free space avaible. They also have some concessions which is really nice. Im so happy Mason City has a shop like this, you dont see many shops of this quality even in bigger cities.

Varieties of comics, mangas, ect but the service seems off. Some like to include themselves while others stare you down as you browse. They seem like they probably have dealt with thieves in the past but it doesnt give a good welcoming if they behave towards all customers like that.
