As a guy that likes books, this is a good location with friendly staff. If youre in the area, I would recommend this. Especially with a Kroger so close, you can get some books and grab some groceries. They had three or four globes for sale, which I hadnt seen at other locations before.

Clean well stocked store and helpful staff. Went in while recovering from knee surgery and they helped me find what I needed while I sat in a chair, its unusual to find such helpful clerks anymore. Wonderful experience and now I have plenty to keep me busy as I recover!

It was easy to bring my books here. They take everything, and pay you for the ones they believe will sell. The remainder they donate or recycle. They have a cart that you can roll out to your car, making it very easy to bring your books in. All the staff were very friendly. In 15 minutes my transaction was finished. Check out their store while youre there. They have EVERYTHING!

I have mixed feelings about this place. As a place to get a good deal on used books and to repurpose things, this place is great. I would not recommend this as a place to sell books though. Prices offered are almost insulting, although its been several years since Ive sold anything so maybe its changed.Edit: looking at some of the other reviews they appear to still offer very low amounts for selling books. Personally I just feel better giving my books to charity.

I was going into your store for the first time today until I saw that you were requiring masks because of the delta variant. Yours was the first and only store since the mask mandate was lifted that requires masks. I said to myself nope, and walked away. I didnt need to look at books that bad.

Another new location for me equals rare finds. My daughter collects vintage books and they had a complete series of books from the 1940s. I cant wait until Christmas time everyones getting at least one gift from Half Price Books.

Friendly staff, great selection and prices. Get there early if you need to find unmarked novels for high school classes.

This is one of my favorite places to go in Mason. Found exactly what I wanted. Service was excellent and the employees were very friendly.

Super, and I mean super, friendly staff always up to chat. We dropped off some books for exchange and received our quote in under five minutes. Store is clean, record collection could use some work, although we did find some very well-taken care of Elvis and Gladys Knight records. One of the few places with a small Menudo record collection as well lol.

Overpriced more like it. This use to be a great store and franchise but when you charge over eBay prices for rare books, video games, comics and more. You arent half price.

They have great collection and can order in books for you. Their books are so well arranged and neatly organized. And chances are you would find multiple copies of the book you want to select the best looking one from.

I just had a really bad experience at this location. Well I just went in there to purchase three books and they were priced at 3.00 to 2.00 and 3.00. I get to the check out they say it 9.17 so I go to my car and get the cash and go back in then they tell me someone put the wrong stickers on them. All they wanted to do to fix the problem is to give me 15 percent off that it I called corporate and they didn’t want to do anything either. I am very unhappy. Please if you have to buy books try to do it from Amazon or something .

I stopped in just to kill time waiting on a friend at another store. it was 5 mins until they closed but both associates were extremely polite and helpful. their demeanor/attitude was neither short nor irritable about me coming in right as they were getting ready to close. will definitely be returning during a better time of day. also, store was very well organized and clean. you can definitely tell that the mason associates take pride in their store and work hard to keep things in their proper places.

My fiance and I hit this Half Price Books often! The staff is friendly and the books/DVDs/Games are in excellent condition and are fairly priced.

I want all the books... love this Role Playing Game, the Rifts series by Palladium Books. These are two I would like to add to my collection, awesome cover artwork as always. My budget only allowed one cheap book at this time though, the Abyss by Orson Scott Card based off the incredible movie by James Cameron. Never seen this book before, absolutely love the movie, about to crush this book!

Awesome book store. So much variety. From comics to self help to board games. Not expensive at all. Can find a lot of interesting reads here. Something for everyone. Love this place. Always spend like an hour in here exploring titles.

Just donate your books. Youll get pennies on the dollar for taking them to half price books.

Very disappointed today when I went to renew my educator card. I am a preschool educator and they told me no because I needed a badge with my name on it. I said I have a pay stub because our preschool does not have badges. Preschool teachers should count!! The excuse was given that it is a corporate decision. This is very sad! Early Childhood Teachers should be included in the Educator Discount!

So much variety and great prices. Always buy calendars at Half Price for Christmas presents. Have been a customer for several years.

They have a coin collecting books, coin collecting folders, stamp collecting books, and other information books. They have books such as The Princess Bride as well. Great selection of books, games, and much much more. The price is not high. They have a lot of good books. Lots of items inside for sale.

I love this book store! True to its name, Half-Price Books have some low cost books sold with great quality. A good place to sell old books that you may not need anymore. My favorite aspects of the store are the plants that hang down from the book shelves. Definitely the place to go if youre looking for low cost books.

I have a medical and religious exemption and they would not allow me to browse the store without a mask. I have been advised by my doctor and other medical professionals it is not safe for me to wear one. Even after stating a medical condition they tried to force a mask on me. I will not do business with them anymore and will be reporting them for civil liberty violations.

Claimed the store was at the full limited occupacy after we walked up and stood there for a few minutes.. It was only after i opened tried to enter the store were we informed..

Wish there were a few places to sit down.

Awesome bookstore with tons of both new and used books. I was so impressed by how organized the books were. I have been to many other secondhand bookstores (and they are all great because... BOOKS!) But, unlike many other stores, I found it very easy to find the books that I wanted today at Half Priced Books!

I received my book today, October 26, 2019, through the mail to Albuquerque, New Mexico ( yes we are part of the US) The book was ordered less than a week ago on line and I already received it. It was nice to find Thank you written on the package...a little human touch is a good thing!

Games and movies are also available here, at a discounted rate.Books are sorted by genre and authors name. Signing up for coupons can get you an even better discount!

Manager was super rude to a customer who was deaf and needed to wear a clear mask. The mask appeared to comply with mandates, but he kicked the people out of the store. I hope the people contact the ada.

You can find things you might want. They pay very little for cds I brought 40 cds in to sell got only $4.76.

Its always fun to see what you can find in the bookcases at Half Price Books. Most of what you find here is practically new mixed with some new items like calendars, novelty gifts, and accessories. The staff is generally friendly and available if you need anything. They do get points for having clean bathrooms and theyre unisex which is nice for when a family with kids needs a few extra minutes to use one, the other is available for anyone who needs it.

Want great books at a great price? This is the place to go. If they dont have what you need, they will call around to other locations and bring it there for you. They also have gift items, video games and more.

Always fun to see what finds they have! This is one of the better locarions.

A quick stop to feed a reading habit, and to find the latest novel by a favorite author. Also a fine place to recycle used books for others to enjoy. Whats not to like about this great concept?

I cannot wear a mask because of my disability and this business discriminated against me, breaking the American with Disabilities Act. Shame on them.

They dont give you anything for what you sell back but Im always pleased with the selection of books. Their records are always overpriced. Its almost as bad a pricing at a record show.

From the outside it looks very small, but once you are inside it is quite spacious. They have a very organized cd section and it is easy to find any books one seeks. I definitely will go to this location again.

I found this place by chance..It was in the Kroger plaza in was visiting .. Its a descent sized place with a great assortment of book at very reasonable prices.. The staff is also helpful and friendly.. I can say this is one of my new favorite bookstores...

Best chain bookstore. Every time I come to Ohio i have to stop by. I wont lie i hate it some times because I always find something and i spend more than I should. This time I found a Funko pop I have been looking for, for YEARS.

If there is any hope for brick-and-mortar bookstores, Half Price Books is it. Size and selection vary by location but book lovers wont mind browsing multiple locations. If youre selling books dont expect to make much, but youll appreciate the savings when youre buying books. They also have a discount section where you can pick up books for a dollar or two so dont forget to seek it out. The staff can help you find books but Im not sure that all locations have the ability to search inventory via a computer.

Only gave 4 stars because they did not have the books I needed for my granddaughter, but the service was excellent.The young woman who took care of me, went above and beyond to help me. Offered to order from another state and ship to my home. If I didnt need the books immediately, i would have had her complete my order. Would definitely recommend this location!

Clearance books now costing $5 has taken the blush off the rose for this bargain book shopper. The Labor Day 20% off sale, doesnt include allowing you to use your September 10% calendar coupon. The excuse the machine doesnt allow us to take off that additional discount is convenient for the store, right? Ive given 100s of dollars in merchandise, books, and DVDs to this store in the past. The minor returns are usually reinvested in the store through additional purchases. One lousy day a year, youd think you could cut the buyer a break and let him use the coupon YOU offered the public in the first place. People would likely but more, not less. Come on now!

I live in Florida and come back to Ohio in the summer to visit family. I always leave with a couple bags full if books from Half Price! Nothing like them in Florida.

I love all the Half Price Book stores! I love to read, I like to have a book in my hand, I get bored or distracted or I just dont like reading in depth on an electronic device. Half Price Books has great prices every day, then they have great sales and promotions! Another big plus they buy books, magazines, CDs, DVDs plus more, a step in the right direction for reduce, reuse, recycle.

Good selection of most media. You dont get much for what you sell to them, and would be better off selling on eBay. But they will take in just about anything in decent shape.

This is a great book store. I find myself shopping here at least once a month. I can get good books covering a variety of interests for a fraction of the cost of most book stores. And theres plenty of good books, videos and CDs for the kids too.
