I would recommend Gallagher to absolutely everyone who needs their furnace or AC repaired or replaced. I cant sing their praises enough. Their technician Josh came to my house ONE HOUR after I called (after hours even!) and was completely knowledgeable and certified (which is not always the case with HVAC companies weve dealt with). Katey was incredibly responsive (so important when you have no heat!) in scheduling and giving us updates. They promised to only do the repairs that were necessary and not charge us for unnecessary work. When we realized the costs for parts for a 15YO furnace didnt make sense, (Gallagher never tried to convince us to purchase new before we suggested it ), they worked with our schedule to quickly come out and do an assessment AND got our current heater working well enough so that our pipes wouldnt freeze when we left for the holidays. THEN Greg and Anthony came out and installed our new furnace and AC the day after we got back. They were cordial, thorough, and transparent, and got our new (wireless!, energy efficient!) system working beautifully. DEFINITELY use this company.

Honest and professional!I called for a quote on a new heating system. Scheduling was a breeze and he was right on time for our appointment. Within just 15 minutes, he told me that he thought they could fix it instead.Two days later (because of my schedule) a tech came out and easily fixed my furnace. They saved me thousands of dollars.

Chris is extremely knowledgeable in both geothermal and solar. Ive installed both for my home using his company after doing extensive research comparing his company with competitors. He is honest, professional and does a great job both with the installation and follow-up with any issues. Would not hesitate to use this company!

We just had the furnace tuneup for winter operation. As usual, Gallagher did a very thorough job. The serviceman looked at the humidifier pad and thought it should be replaced. After removing it, and a closer examination, he decided that we could get another year out of it and reinstalled it into the humidifier.Thats why we use Gallagher.

As a general contractor, we have worked with many HVAC contractors over the years. Gallagher HVAC has set themselves apart from the industry with their meticulous attention to detail, vast product knowledge, and exceptional communication. I would highly recommend Chris, Katey, and the entire crew at Gallagher HVAC.

I will not call them again. Our air-conditioner was not catching up with the temperature set in the thermostat. I called them just because of all the good reviews in google. The technician inspected and said capacitor needs to be replaced and it will cost 250$+69$ trip charge. I declined the repair, as it did not sound right to pay 319$ for a half hour job to replace a 15$ part. So far not so bad. The technician went back to put back the cover. He came back and said the fan started to work, without even replacing the capacitor. This shook the trust. In a blink of eye, saved 250$. The technician sounded more interested in getting signatures in ipad, rather than solving the problem.

I had a great experience from beginning to end. The scheduler was friendly and compassionate and the technician was professional and displayed integrity.This was one of the best service experiences I have had!

This is an unsolicited review of my experiences with Gallagher HVAC, June 2014.For those that want me to get to the point, here is the bottom line: This firm provides a product and a service that combines high quality with a good value for the money. They are professional and they are thorough. They have different product lines. I went with a variable speed ClimateMaster geo-thermal installation. I would do it again; with Gallagher. Chris (the owner) is thorough, competent and caring. He wont be happy until you are happy. What I wanted was a quality system, installed by caring professionals, at a competitive price (I didnt need to have the lowest price available in the Mid-West; what I did want was a genuinely caring group of people. In this regard, I believe I was successful).So Bottom line: I am happy I chose geo-thermal and I am happy I chose this firm to install my geo-thermal system.OK ... now on to the thorough review. Why Gallagher? I first read about them in the Cincinnati Enquirer (thewritingfiendatlarge.www). I had spoken to other firms. One leader said they would have a difficult time getting the drilling truck in our development. Another said they would be disposing the drilling waste (think 4 wide times 230 times two wells!) over the hill (where our lake was located). Another said they were well experienced in the area of geo-thermal, as they had installed 3 systems. Yes. Three. Gallagher had installed over 200 systems. Getting the drilling rig to my yard proved to be of no issue. And the drilling waste? They dealt with it. It never made it anywhere close to the lake.Gallagher was patient with me (took a while for me to decide to go this route). They didnt pressure me. They didnt try and upsell me. They consulted with me and my needs - they didnt try and push me ... they guided me. They were professional. The employees were respectful of our home and they were respectful of my spouse and her specific needs (shes a bit neat). They recycled all of the metal from the old system (important to me - why dump it in a landfill?). They gave us a time line and that time line was met. They taught us how the system worked.I have been so pleased with the ClimateMaster system, and Gallagher, that I have decided to utilize their services if we follow through with our intent to build a home in Florida in a few years (clearly I will have to work out the logistics). It goes without saying that Florida will have similar contractors, but that gives you an idea of the level of satisfaction we have with this firm...There is no denying that a geo-thermal system is more expensive upfront than a conventional heating and air system. That said, something is only expensive in the absence of value. There is meaningful, beneficial value associated with this technology. Further, the 30% Federal tax credit helps a great deal in offsetting the higher upfront costs. Personally, I would not go back.Concluding thoughts...I have rebuilt three houses. My grandfather owned a major construction firm. I have utilized many contractors over the past 20 years. I have never taken the time to post such a lengthy review (or any review for that matter). So why have I written this? (1) to try and help you & (2) I wanted you to know that Chris and Gallagher did a great and caring job for our family.Some people will question the authenticity of this review. My response?
