Ive been loving Harbor Freight lately. Ive probably gone 3 or 4 times in the last few weeks and each time I find more tools that I just need to have. Harbor Freight has really upped their game. The tools are now available at different tiers like a good, better and best quality depending on your wants and needs. I used to say that I wouldnt buy Harbor Freight tools if I was a contractor or was using them daily but I believe those times have changed.

Prices have been rising for a while here. Making it easier to go to home depot for just a little more. No more 20% off coupons to motivate taking the ride and to top it off I was met with an unprovoked attitude from a young lady at the register today. I told her I hoped she would have a better rest of her day. Too young to be so angry.

This isnt your typical Harbor Freight, the employees were very professional and kind. Willing to help every step of the way. My husband and I bought a large item and without any thought one gentleman grabbed it and helped my husband throw it in the truck.. Havent had this experience at any other Harbor Freight

Cheap tools from China but they work

So many inexpensive items that are more expensive in other places.

If you have been to a harbor freight then you know what it is. If not they have low grade tools for medium grade prices. They have medium quality tools for slightly higher prices. For just a little bit more moneys you can find some decent tools but dont be mistaken thinking you can purchase Snap-on or equivalent tools here because you definitely cannot.

They have it all and good prices to boot.

Nice clean store with good stock and selection. Staff is usually very helpful but, you may occasionally run into a grumpy employee. Still, 9 out of 10 are courteous. Dont underestimate Harbor Freight. You just need to know what to buy. Batteries? = No. Never. Dont do it. They work, but they leak. Flashlights? Yes! $4 Multimeter? (free on the right days with a Q) definitely worth it. Shop stool? Work bench? Storage item? Yes, Yes, Yes! Go check out Harbor Freight. Youll thank me later.

Of course the tools here at Harbor Freight are in no way too quality. But for a tool or an item your not using or relying on a daily basis, there totally fine..Most of my purchases have paid for themselves and are still going strong. A tool for a couple of hundred bucks has gotten me out of a bind more than once when to purchase the same tool of quality would have cost me a thousand bucks or better..

Prices getting too high for the Chinese tools they sell and the parking lot is a garbage strewn mess and a disgrace to the neighborhood. Not worth going there anymore🤨

Near perfect place however the caution is reading the small print for the cashier to understand that a coupon is a coupon.Perhaps pay the staff more so they can be in charge as the manager seems to be micro managing instead of trusting his staff!!

Have only been there twice (to buy, then to return) and yes I know ..you get what you pay for but not really reviewing the merchandise... but they really should have (need) just a few more employees there .. really doubtful that I will be going back anytime soon ..

A bit of a bargain bin as far as hardware stores goes, youll be able to find just about anything you might need tool wise, even some more niche stuff, but dont be too surprised if you have to replace it sooner than expected. With that being said though, you do at least get to pay the bargain price for the lower quality, which honestly has been getting better. Employees are very friendly and helpful and the parking lot is a good size but can be easily missed if youre not looking for it.

Had good experience with this harbor freight store. I was looking for the union safe for the longest time. Every store told me stories about how its coming next week or we just sold it. My wife spoke with James and he physically went in the back and assured us he had one.

Terrible experience! I have never been more disrespected and disgusted. The stores supervisor John was the most unprofessional individual Ive ever come in counter. He was yelling throwing things being very aggressive and belligerent. I will never shop at the store again and I highly recommend you dont either just to save the possibility of coming counter with this guy on the wrong day. The cashier in the store manager were awesome very courteous and kind but this supervisor John was disgusting this man should get a performance evaluation. He should be fired!!

I love Harbor Freight from back in the day they did traveling sales events in tents.I still have a 33 gallon upright air compressor from 17 years ago.Today I went to get my 15 year old a starter tool set and tool box and i got myself an ac and refrigeration manifold. The stuff is great quality.Lisa Marie was at the register and was extremely helpful with helping me change my address as a club member and she gave me a catalog because i hadnt been getting them in the mail.She and the manager, Im sorry I didnt get his name, but i had a great time there today.

This Harbor Freight is way WAY better than the one in Hempstead. Im not normally one to go out of my way to gripe about a business unless its super bad, but the one in Hempstead is a total joke compared to how well maintained this one is, and the staff is competent, kind, responsible, organized, etc. Im never going to the one in Hempstead again after being here.

Ive been coming to this location since it first opened several years ago. The store is always clean and well stocked. If I have issue with a non working tool they always exchange it without issue....

Absolutely awful experience. Bought and paid for a Drummond 1/4 Hp sump pump with a 2 year protection plan. Was NEVER told that once you put it in water you can no longer return it to the store. Out of the box the pump wouldn’t work. Spoke to 2 managers and a supervisor and neither one was helpful. One named John the supervisor couldn’t have seemed any less interested in what I had to say and wouldn’t even look at me while I spoke to him and one of the managers named Kevin said that he was ‘not going to get involved with this conversation’ I’m sorry but isn’t your entire job based around customer service?? Overall customer service was absolutely horrendous and none of the people there know how to speak to people and if the store’s policy is not to return things in store they should let you know that at the time of purchase. Harbor freight was always my go to buy today you guys have 100% lost at least 2 customers.

Great place to buy one-time-use tools and consumable components. The store was neat, well laid out. The sales associates were helpful And friendly (which is strange for NY standards). When I couldnt find an item they went with me to ensure it was In stock. Weekday mornings the place is empty. I also like the freebie with your store purchase.

I noticed that they have a lot of things I will need in the near future .Got what I needed today and got on my way quickly.

Just got home with three different tool packages. Asked John for his advice on what would be best to remove a stripped set screw in a bathroom faucet that my Allen wrenches could not budge. He suggested I start with the least invasive and go from there - and whatever tool(s) I dont need, just bring them back. Just another reason why I love this place!

Harbor Freight can be hard to rate due to the nature of the store but if you can look at it for what it is, its not a bad place. They have great variety and good prices which makes them convenient. Some things are really worth it and some are not. Always get the right tool for the right job and do your research. They offer numerous coupons and I recommend people take advantage. Sometimes the lines can get a little ridiculous but at this particular location its fine. The staff is courteous and helpful as well.

The tools are very inexpensive Chinese made stuff. In some cases this is perfect. In others it is worth buying a name brand. The people are not really helpful there in terms of helping with instructions if you arent sure what your doing. The coupons help also and there are a lot of them.

Lisa is super fast at ringing customers and extremely friendly and helpful in the process. Store needs more people like her. 5 stars for Lisa !!

The store itself is good nice selection is clean and organized however there was an incident that needs to be addressed by management an elderly woman was mistreated by a chubby he seemed to be hispanic cashier it was around 1:45 pm today he was extremely rude to her I said to the other cashier that this man was extremely rude to her and he said he would take care of the woman I cannot stand when an employee is rude to a customer however the fact that it was an elderly woman who was clearly waiting her turn to be rung up makes it worse if he was closing the register fine but being nice is FREE!! That man could have been having a bad day and I told him he was rude to that woman he looked at me and walked away I wont return to this store

Obviously you get what you pay for. The tools offered are homeowner specials and cannot stand up to commercial use. Bay Shore store is a lot friendlier than this branch. Management is not customer friendly. Would not shop here again.
