I have been going to Union optical for about 3 or 4 years and I must say Im amazed at how professional and efficient their services are. They get you in they get you out doing their duration of your eye exam they explain everything in great detail and they are very informative I can see myself continuing future visits with Union optical Care

Today was a wonderful visit. Jenny and Helen were so pleasant and helpful. Mike is extremely knowledgeable and thorough and discovered I have a cataract on my right eye. I like that the eye doctor talked me through the whole exam on what he was looking at and doing & the ladies at the front desk were super friendly! the place had really nice looking frames for my insurance that covered it free ! definitely recommend

I have been trying for 3 days just to get to talk to a live person. The automated operator checks the line twice and then hangs up on you!! Do they need to hire more help or have a designated person to answer the phone?

I have been going to Union Optical for several years. The doctor and his staff are always kind and helpful. I just love my new lineless bifocals I picked up today. Very, very helpful in helping me make my decision and also informed me of the special going on for this particular style. Highly recommend them.

In and out quickly. I was treated with courtesy and professionalism. I felt very comfortable knowing that Ill be better able to see upon receiving my new eye glasses. They were even able fit my new prescription into the frames of my favorite pair of sunglasses. I think knowing my glasses with perfectly on my face is the absolute best part!! A very big THANK YOU to ALL the staff at Union Optical.

Beware!!! Won’t be returning. Can’t get ahold of anyone in the office by phone and it shouldn’t take months upon months upon months (no exaggeration) to receive your glasses or contacts. Also this is the only place I’ve ever been to that doesn’t give out trial pairs for contacts or cases for your glasses. Usually go to the Eye Clinic and never been disappointed. Takes them about a week to receive your eye wear. Plus they do follow up on your contacts to make sure they are right prescription (this place does not). Only switched here because of insurance. Union Optical seems very low scale in comparison.

Not impressed. They dont answer the phones, their vm gives different hours than their web site. They dont return phone calls. They dont have any weekend or evening hours which makes it almost impossible for someone with a job to utilize them. It took 6 weeks to get my wifes glasses, and I have to return them because there is a blemish in one of the lenses.Just downgraded 1 star. Been calling and leaving messages for 3 days. STILL have not had a return call. Its impossible to actually speak to a person. Leaving a voice mail obviously does no good. Next stop is the Better Business Bureau.

Had my appointment today with Dr Lockheart,it was very positive experience. I posted this on Facebook, I highly recommend Union Optical in Massillon Ohio on Lincoln way East.

I’ve been going to Union optical since the 80s they’ve always been friendly people very kind polite their service is great the dad has retired but the son Mike Junior has taken over and he is an awesome guy the whole staff your sister and the rest of the staff is very polite people very clean place yes they have moved from downtown Massillon where the meat packers used to be and now they’re on Lincoln Way I love your service I love them. My family has gone to Union Optical for years. The Doctor is exceptional the best my family and friends have had. But unfortunately thats where the Union Optical service ends. As far as getting the eye glasses and follow up for adjusting them for comfort it falls flat. I wasnt gonna write this review until 3 of my closest friends and co works had the same unsatisfactory visit. My best advice to anyone is see the Doctor but get your glasses somewhere else.

Unprofessional, have not been able to get ahold of anyone by phone for weeks, take months for eye wear to come in, and the lady demonstrating how to put in my contacts proceeded to touch my contacts without washing her hands after touching her eyes and taking her own contacts out to show me.

Every time I go there, everyone is courteous and kind. I will be back for my new glasses. Cant wait 😁☺️

Horrible they never answer phone when you call you get an automated message over and over and over but no asnwer you literally have to drive there to speak to them smh took me forever to get my glasses . I asked for my glasses prescription and only got part of it and i cannot call to get the rest because they wont answer! Has a very horrible choice of glasses which are extremely outdated! Will not be going back currently looking for new doctor and also they moved and i was not notified! Nice doctor but other than that everything else sucks

I just got my new frames from Union Optical. They are amazing. I’ve always used places like Lens Crafters, but these guys make you feel more like family! I wouldn’t go anywhere else. They were great with me and my kids. The doctor even tolerated my 19 month old while he was giving me my exam!They are AMAZING!

Horrible experience!! More than one month ago I ordered glasses. Two weeks ago I asked them to check status of my glasses. Asked that someone call me with answer. NO RESPONSE! I then called one week letter with same request and STILL no response. Today I called them with the same phone number I have been using. The phone now goes to their fax! I googled looking for a different number . I found a different phone number but it was disconnected. I sent a text message but still no response!! Any suggestions would be appreciated! TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

Took a month for my husband to get his contact lenses. They gave us a trial pair yesterday & the one that was marked by them for the right eye, was over 2 yrs on the expiration date. Glad we checked it. They should know better. This can cause an eye infection. I picked up his contacts today & gave them back the trial pair. And showed the lady the expiration date. The one that she put the R on yesterday. Told her that he will not be coming back. Thats horrible.

What a friendly team here.

I liked the service. The doctor seemed personable, to me. My only real complaint is one that I cannot attribute to UOP. Its more of a problem with the manufacturer.The glasses I ordered were scratch resistant, NOT shatter-proof prescription safety glasses. I knew this at the time, was not mislead at all. Im a welder, therefore I require prescription safety glasses, in the absence of which, I must wear goggles over my prescription daily wear glasses. Ive had to do this before, no big deal.The problem arose when after a few days of work, the lenses began to crack from the outside edges of both lenses, inward. I know it was happening as i welded, because every time one of the larger cracks occured, i could detect the little tink sound through bone induction, due to the fact that I wear foam ear plugs. They cancel out external noise, but intensify small, local contact sounds, such as rain drops dripping on my head, glasses, etc.My belief is that even under my helmet and 2-3 feet from the arc of my welder, the heat caused enough expansion of the lenses to cause heat-stress cracking. Ive never witnessed such a thing happen to glasses. Honestly, the inside of a car on an average summer day is hotter than the inside of my welding helmet, so I have to wonder how bad theyd have cracked in that environment for an extended period of time.So bottom line, Union Optical 🖒, whoever it was who manufactured my lenses, 🖓.

I have called numerous times and its very disappointing. The first couple of times the doctor was not in. After calling again I tried to schedule an appointment. They said they couldnt fo anything at the time. I called one last time today and they said theyd call me back. And after hours of no response I stop in to find that I have to make an appointment to get my eyes checked, which they couldve told me on the phone. Its been 2 long weeks and I will never come here again. I would highly suggest avoiding this place if possible..

WAS NOT CONTACTED WHEN THE GLASSES WERE READY TO BE PICKED UP HAD TO CALL SEVERAL TIMES WAS WITH A UNION OPTICAL PATIENT TO PICKUP HER NEW GLASSES THE PERSON THAT WAITED ON HER DID NOT SEE TO IT THAT HER GLASSES WERE PROPERLY FITTED HANDED THEM TO HER IN A ZIP LOCK BAG WHEN SHE ASKED ABOUT HER GLASS CASES THE LOOKED AT HER VERY MEAN WENT TO A DESK AND GOT HER CASES SHOVED THEM IN HER HAND AND RUDELY TOLD HER TO LEAVE NOT PROFESSIONAL AT ALL WILL NEVER BE BACK

First bad experience there I put an order in for my sons glasses three months ago paid upfront and still dont have them all they said is they were behind with school orders I placed the order Aug 23 it is now Oct 19

Everytime I get glasses here it takes 6 weeks or more to get them. Not sure what has happened to this place. Years ago it wasnt like this:(
