Great prices and great services

I went in person for an estimate of a French Door, and they took note of everything that I asked them, but they never sent the quote to me, even when I wrote twice to them, they completely ignored me.I wont go again since they didnt care about my time, and made me wait for 1 week, and I wont recommend to anybody, in fact, I have already told to some people to avoid them.

Totally ignored. Contractors may get a better reception but I was ignored. Back to home depot/lowes.

Really poor customer service. Was there to pick up some wood for first time. Asked an employee where the lumber i was looking for was and got at the bottom of the hill. So after driving down to bottom of hill i saw the same employee and asked him again where at the bottom of the hill ? the employee says at the bottom of the hill and the he started cursing as i drove toward where he was gesturing. As i got to the lumber i was looking for, the same employee came over and i then said there it is and he says yeah like i said the bottom of the hill...very very poor customer service....

Easy to work with, have what others dont

I deliver lumber there fairly often. The people I deal with are all super nice. I dont mind going there at all.

Avoid! This was one of the worst customer service experiences I can remember. Worked with Richard Markland - misleading and non-communicative. In his initial quote, he neglected to mention $1,300 with if required products (almost 10% of total project cost). He made promises of delivery dates that took twice as long and only responded when he was looking for money. Building supplies is a commodity business with lots of competitors - service is the only differentiator. Not sure how companies can stay in business with employees like him.

AVOID!!!!! VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! BEEN TOLD BY BURT(sales):we busy enough and we dont need your business . Dont know who gives them 5stars? They probably pay their employees to raise their rating. Take your business to Builders Center or somewhere else to get customer service.

Arrived there on Friday afternoon at 3:38pm when they were closing at 4pm. The gentleman who was last one there waiting to lock the front gate coukdbof arid come back on Monday but he went out of his way to help me find the trim piece I needed to repair my front columns. Thank you thank you. Great service!

If ignorance with an attitude were a building material, than in my opinion, Matthews Building Supply would be the best stocked supplier in the area.I am a licensed general contractor that used them on several occasions over the years. The last time I tried to use them, I was told they were really backed-up and would take about 4 weeks to do a take-off from our building plans to develop a material list and quote. After a month, I called to follow-up with them and discovered that our salesman never even began the process. I finally got a take-off and quote about a month later (2 months after furnishing the plans). After I reviewed the take-off, parts of it made no sense to me. I called to question the guy that does the take-offs and discovered that they farmed it out to another guy. Even though the guy that normally does the plan take-offs didnt perform the take-off for us, he was very defensive about the fact that I even had the audacity to question them. He acted like he was Gods gift to the building industry.After discovering that the management wanted to support their take-off guys attitude, I decided that I did want want to deal with that drama, so I took my business to another building supplier. As it turned out, their take-off was littered with errors.

Considering all the challenges it takes to run a building supply house. They do a fine job.
