What a great place near downtown Matthews. Really friendly staff, clean and pleasant atmosphere with nice music and local art displayed. My wife and I each had sandwiches which were delicious. We also tried the bacon wrapped figs as an App which was really good as well. (Though pretty sweet) Overall A+++ highly recommended.

We LOVE the loyalist market. They have a great outdoor space and a moderately sized indoor space. They always have great cheese/charcuterie offerings, a few other menu items, wine and beer. The staff is VERY knowledgeable about their menu. The best thing though is their dedication to the community. Throughout Covid they led the way with making food for children who needed free lunch. They have masked and consistently followed protocols.

I’m just in town for 3 days. Been here three times so far and will be back tomorrow for lunch. Spectacular food. And super attentive, delightful staff. You HAVE TO get the charcuterie board. Premium meats and amazing cheeses. The Rueben is the best I’ve had in years. Wish I lived here!Randy

Yesterday was my second time visiting The Loyalist Market and it was yet another amazing experience. The food and wine were wonderful! The staff is phenomenal, very knowledgeable, and you really feel taken care of!I was also really impressed that one of the servers remembered me from my previous visit, which was months ago.

First time here and absolutely loved the space. The food was also really delicious.I got the pimento cheese and pork rinds along with the chicken salad croissant sandwich. Everything was so fresh and made there (or made locally).They have a little provisions section where you can purchase some of the products on their menu. I went home with some containers of pimento cheese because it was that good.Got to enjoy the cheesecake of the day and it was so decadent.The staff was extremely friendly as well and very attentive.I definitely am coming back again!

9/2/2021 I went here for dinner and what a wonderful place this is! I ordered the pastrami on white bread and the pig and fig salad. Both were incredibly delicious!!I would highly recommend stopping here for a bite to eat. The service was PHENOMENAL! We stayed late chatting and the staff was so polite constantly checking on us if we needed anything!The pig and fig salad was so fresh and the pieces of fig in it added such a wonderful flavor!! The pastrami sandwich was big enough to share! Mine came with their chips which were good.I apologize for no photos I was so busy eating and talking I didn’t take any! I will visit again and snap some pics!!! I will definitely be back to try more on the menu!!!!!

Adorable spot for afternoon lunch or a date night. Great selection of drinks weather you prefer beer or wine. Menu is pretty small with similar items just prepared in different ways. Bread was fluffy and delicious and I was most likely be back to buy some cheeses to go!

Incredibly tasty! And very cute... Great customer service, fresh products and unique items... We had the burrata which had the most amazing dressing with it, and the Cuban sandwich... It has pork carnitas instead of roasted pork and that was a game changer... That and the spicy mustard....we will be back!

There arent enough wonderful things to say about The Loyalist but Im going to try! The decor is authentic and the servers were so nice! We went for a late lunch Saturday. We had the cheese and charcuterie board. We were impressed because the cheese monger knew what they were doing and the pairings were AMAZING!! I totally recommend one. Its enough for 2 maybe 3 people. We each had a salad and my husband had a bowl of soup. The salads were big and the ingredients were super fresh. My husbands soup tasted was great! Im looking forward to going back and trying their sandwiches. They looked fantastic! Went here last night with friends. We sat on the patio. Wonderful staff and great food. Chicken salad was great. I even bought some to take home. Friends enjoyed as well.

Everything about this restaurant is wonderful. The food is fresh and delicious. The service is excellent. Theres such a wonderful team effort to please the customer. The music gives such a relaxing vibe. Just go and enjoy yourself.

We had dinner here tonight and it was such a lovely experience! Our server, Heather, was so kind and easygoing, and everyone working here took great care of us. The food was amazing. I’d only been here for lunch previously, and it exceeded our expectations for dinner as well. We’ll be back again and again!

Best place to get fresh ricotta cheese, or any cheese really. Have been there 4 times in 3 weeks for the ricotta cheese and salad. Service was good too.

Super friendly and welcoming staff. Went out of their way to accommodate my wife and I on a night out for coffee and dessert. The tiramisu cheesecake is heavenly, but nothing beats a warm chocolate cookie.

Pretty good veggie tomato mozzarella sandwich - great quality bread. I got it to go but the space looks really nice and welcoming - great indoors and outdoors seating. Charlotte area does not have good places for sandwiches like these so I am glad I made the trip here all the way from uptown

What a great place to have a date. They offer cheese, charcuterie, local provisions. Your going to fall in love with the customer service that they provide. They make you feel like family. If you haven’t been in yet I would have recommended it. You will very much enjoy their food.

Great deli style sandwiches and fast service even though it was quite crowded. The prices are a bit steep ($15 for a sandwich) but I must say it was yummy & seemed worth it. Staff was extremely friendly and added a rather enjoyable lunch.

I was really craving a good deli style sandwich, and bc of their high reviews, I decided to splurge a little. So I went to The Loyalist Market for the first time today and ordered the muffuletta to go.When I got home and started to eat, the sandwich was soooooo salty. I’ve had muffulettas before (at Jason’s Deli and other places) and I enjoyed them elsewhere. So I’m thinking...this is a specialty shop, can only be better, right? All I could taste was salt.So I decided to give them a call and Beth answered the phone. I let her know that I could not eat my sandwich, that I tried to grin and bear it...but it was unbearably salty. She said she would let the kitchen and the manager know.So I tossed my $14.50 sandwich, and had to go buy dinner elsewhere. If she had been more gracious to accommodated my loss, and the fact that I had to repurchase dinner, I would gladly frequent their establishment...But, no thanks.

This is a cute little market in Matthews.Theres not a ton of seating inside, but enough for us to find a place to sit.We tried the Muffaletta, the Americano, and the Porchetta along with a charcuterie and cheese board and devils on horseback.Of the sandwiches, the Porchetta was definitely my favorite. The devils on horseback were amazing. The charcuterie and cheese board was put together carefully so that everything on the board was meant to be paired with something.Its a great place to hang out, relax, and get a bite to eat!

I really dig their sandwiches. I got a Reuben with a side of salad and my boyfriend had an Original Gangster. We both ordered as warmed ones and it was definitely the right choice.Ugh, Reuben’s pastrami just melted - super soft and just has the right amount of sauce. I personally felt that OG was too salty for me because of the mix of different salamis in there - but it’s just a personal tastebud. Their creamy wild rice soup was very good as well and tasted like a really good homemade soup that makes you cozy in a gloomy/chilly weather.Heather served us and she was very nice and friendly, so was others who greeted us there. It’s a good spot for lunch or wine+cheese at night. I wish the music choice was a bit better though.If you wanted to get a coffee at Good Cup while having Loyalist’s food, you won’t be able to. When Loyalist is open, Good Cup is closed and vice versa. Loyalist does offer coffee though. Make sure to check both businesses hours!

The plate presentation was impressive as well. You could tell the deli is given artistic license when preparing the charcuterie boards. They were attractively arranged and the portions were ample. Great place to get a quick bite OR some fancy cheese. I went in several weeks ago and bought three different cheeses. The associate telling me was very knowledgeable and let me sample a few to make up my mind. Great cheese and customer service!Today I went in for a sandwich and got a grilled cheese (amazing) and tomato basil soup. Both were so good! Also lots of great art for sale on the walls!

One of the best places for charcuterie and amazing sandwiches and salads for lunch. You can find really hard to find beers and drinks here. Always local and always ultra fresh. This place costs a little more most of the time but wow is it tasty. Just an amazing place to go if you want a light healthy and ultra fresh lunch!

Stopped by tonight for the first time to celebrate their 2nd Anniversary and my parents and I enjoyed everything we ordered. My kind of place!

My wife and I have stopped into the Loyalist Market a couple of times for small bites and a beer, or two. Today we swung in for an early lunch. The inside was filled with smoke like something was cooking and cooking and cooking. After about 20 minutes the place cleared up. We ordered a couple of sandwiches (veggin out and grilled pimento cheese) with side salads her a beer, me a wine. I didnt get the impression that there was alot of knowledge behind the drinks but both were great.The sandwiches were excellent, the veggin out was on a ciabatta which was the perfect pairing. The bread was a little thick making it hard to eat but how well the bread paired with the pesto, tomatoes and mozzarella was well worth it. Paired with a Pinot Noir that made its way from Willamette Valley made this lunch one to remember.

Absolutely delicious!!! Their pairing of cheese, meat, preserves, nuts, dry fruit, etc is is out of this world! The staff is amazing and attentive. Vicky was a delight the whole night and even though we were there past closing time devouring our board, she simply asked if we wanted another round. Truly exceptional and we will be regulars for sure!

Had lunch here for the first time this past Saturday. The customer service is great and the food is delicious! I had the chicken salad croissant sandwich and would highly recommend it. We also got a cheese and charcuterie board to go to have for the next day and we really enjoyed everything that was on it.

A somewhat Kool Place with an outdoor patio on a busy street. Sandwiches are Whats to Eat! Dont come early. Opens at 12 Noon. Food and service are typical, not to rave about. Evening and weekend younger crowd hangout. Parking available.

The food here is great, but how can you go wrong when almost everything on the menu involves cheese? My favorite is the mac and cheese which they have on Tuesdays, but if you are looking for something lighter the salads are great as well! They also have a good variety of craft beers that are often changing up, giving you the option to try something new. The owner and staff are very friendly and professional. I come in somewhat regularly with a large party and they always take great care of the group.

The vibe is warm and friendly....and they are just down the hill on Trade Street in Matthews. They feature lots of local foods and brews....truly a gem worthy of lots of word of mouth.

A bright airy place for the perfect casual lunch. The service was excellent and the food even better. They had run out of the tomato basil soup that would have been the perfect accompaniment for the grilled cheese sandwiches which had a surprising and tasty berry bacon jam that took it to a new level.
