We’ve had the best experience ALWAYS getting our bikes fixed/tuned up. Ray is always flexible for requests, work is very reasonably priced (he disagreed to take extra dollars when offered saying his daughter audits the receipts and will yell at him if he took it : ), and if you ever hang out with Ray while he’s working on your bike, you’ll know he is the friendliest and funniest person ever!

Ray is the most amazing kind of person youd ever want to meet and he just so happens to be The only person you want to see about a bike.

Not great. I want to like this shop because Ray is a kind human and an expert on bikes, but there are lots of issues.First and foremost, Ray has not worn a mask inside or outside the shop during my several visits. I think this is irresponsible and dangerous, having 2 family members passed away from Covid.Second, we paid a lot to have a bike shipped and when it arrived it was not padded properly and there was a broken piece. Now I have to pay more to get it fixed.Finally, there is always a long, long wait. Ray needs to hire some folks to help out customers.

Very helpful in pick a childrens bike. Even loan us a smaller bike to use to teach how to ride a bike.

Although I cant get a bike right away, Ray has put out a call for one and if I find one before he can get one says he will put together for a couple bucks.super friendly and a great resource in our little town.

We have been buying bicycles from Ray & Sons for our growing family, and having them repaired there, for the over twenty years we have lived in Maynard, and also when we previously lived in Maynard back some thirty to forty years ago. This is simply our go-to place for all bicycle needs, with personal, friendly, reliable, down to earth service.

Ray is extremely knowledgeable and a very hard worker. Every customer who came in must have been repeat business. The interactions were cordial and sometimes humorous; obviously satisfied customers. Highly recommend Ray & Sons. You wont be disappointed.

The owner is very nice and has a good selection, just dont expect the best price for used road bikes. He showed me if I remember a 2002 trek. It was nice, but a bit old and he wanted 800 for it... too much. He then showed me an 80s road bike and wanted I think around 300. I felt bad saying no, but they were just too much. He put no sales pressure though.

Ray is very sweet and gives his undivided attention to each and every customer ! also has the greatest patience and will help you find a bike especially for you and let you know your bike size and all. I never knew there were sizes just thought a bike was a bike to ride on road or trails . He is legit the bes . Initially I had mixed feelings about Ray back last year. Then....I noticed a couple days prior a shifter cable was frayed and about to snap. I called Ray and he said bring it on over and well get you fixed up I took the bike trail to Rays and he took me right in and fixed the issue within minutes at a reasonable price. He was very pleasant to chat with while he worked on my bike. So ...I really caught a misread on old Ray......hes cool in my book and great job too.

No sales pressure - great service yet totally laid-back. Much prefer giving my business to this old-fashioned, family/locally-owned business, than a chain store or online.

I just picked up the bikes after Ray gave them a thorough tune up! Its always good to stop in. And, I got some travel tips for visiting Italy!

“Schwinner schwinner shicken dinner” that’s what ray always said to make the young men get on the bikes. When joe mags was still with us (RIP) he used to get all his special people a new haro or a Schwinn. Sometimes he took the seat off and let them ride it like that. This is by far the best and only bike shop like this around the town of Maynard. Rays brother is a nice guy too. Def check it out!
